THIRD PERSON
FLUFF/ANGST (?)
FEBRUARY 24, 2023

promotions for txt's recent comeback, temptation, had just ended. in celebration of their success, the group got in sakura's car and drove off.

soobin was driving and sakura was riding shotgun, despite her ownership. there were two seats behind them, where the two youngest sat. in the very back, beomgyu and yeonjun were playing around.

the group of six didn't have a clear destination. maybe there was an underlying psychological reason they were driving to the middle of nowhere, like they wanted to run away from their glaringly obvious problems. sakura wondered why her mind would always go to weird places like just now.

she chose to simply stop thinking and rather just take in her surroundings. there was a blue-ish haze everywhere they went, through the forest and through the mountains. for an odd reason, it was comforting.

beomgyu's quiet "woah," caught her attention. looking back at the boy, she saw what he was infatuated with. it was a beautiful lake, with a rope swing and a small cliff to jump into.

she tapped soobin, he turned to her. "can we go there?" she asked, but it was more of a suggestion. seeing the twinkle of excitement in her eyes, he pulled over.

by then, the rest of the members were filled with a similar feeling of anticipation. just looking at the rope swing made her feel invisible and free, that's exactly what she needed.

she was the first one to even think of going in the lake fully clothed. for an odd reason, the group had insisted on bringing swim attire in the one off chance they'd come across some body of water.

despite having a bathing suit, she sat on the rope swing. "kkura, why don't you get changed?" yeonjun asked. she looked at him as soobin covered him with a beach towel to change into his shorts.

"i just want to be in the lake," she explained. her desperate need to be in the cold water was one she couldn't articulate. she just knew she always loved the cold, it brought a sense of comfort.

she snapped out of her thoughts when the youngest appeared in front of her. "noona, are you gonna go?" he asked, impatiently waiting for his turns. "hell yeah i am!" she exclaimed.

sakura stepped as far back as she could, jumping on the swing as she finally let it run free. the wind blew her hair, she felt like flying. she let it swing back one more time before finally, plummeting into the water.

it was merely a drop, plummeting was not the right word. she was under the surface for a total of about a second, but it was still the best part of swinging. she was surrounded, and she loved that.

she smiled as she watched her members fight for a chance to swing. eventually, they ended up playing rock paper scissors and taehyun won. he decided to be adventurous and stood on the rope, instead of sitting.

"be careful!" she called, although she knew he would be either way. he motioned for beomgyu to pull
him backwards, and the elder happily complied. taehyun jumped and let the wind control his body.

the wind did not make him move one inch, but he didn't mind. they were away from their lives; the ones they dreamed of, sure, but the lives a part of them dreaded too.

everyone loved being an idol, and none of them would trade it for the world. but there was a little part in each of them that filled them with doubt. would life be easier if i wasn't in the spotlight all the time?

she stopped the depressive thoughts from plaguing her mind once more. today was supposed to be fun, and she was determined to make it so.

she hadn't realized the boy was next to her, until a large splash drenched her head. she spit out the lake water which had entered her mouth. she splashed him back, and he smiled, backing down.

their play fight was short lived but they didn't mind, as soobin was just about to come down the swing as well. he screamed as he fell off, rather than jumping.

none of them worried, however, as he easily swam up to the surface seeming perfectly fine. "how did you fuck it up that badly?" she whispered to him, he scowled in response. "shut up," he grumbled. she giggled after successfully getting on his nerves.

soon, everyone else had joined the original three in the lake. they stopped treading at a certain point after realizing that they could just stand. they stood in a comfortable silence, the only sound the rush of the water.

every once in a while, her eyes shifted from the members to the small cliff. she was entranced. it was not that much taller than the rope swing, and she desired to jump off it.

wordlessly, she climbed out of the lake. she easily got to the top of the cliff, more of a ledge. "are you jumping off of it?!" yeonjun asked, though he knew she would. "obviously!" she yelled back, and they both giggled,

she took a few steps backwards, before quickly running forwards and off the ledge. she didn't scream, simply laughing as she canonballed into the water.

she tried her best to make a large splash. evidently, she did so once realizing she was being glared at from all the members. "not my fault you guys are in my way!" she teased.

"yeah? watch. i'm gonna make the smallest splash ever and you'll see how easy it is kkura," beomgyu challenged. she rolled her eyes, "okay, big-shot. i'll be watching."

she couldn't detect even the slightest bit of doubt in the boy, though she didn't think he would second-guess himself anyway. he wasn't like that.

as she fell pencil-style into the lake, he quickly shouted, "it's easy, kkura!" she simply chuckled, in disbelief that instead of saying something meaningful he chose to tease her.

she didn't want to admit her loss, but it was clear that beomgyu was right. it was, in fact, very easy not to splash everyone else.

"yeah. that's what i thought," beomgyu concluded, noting her lack of refutation. she rolled her eyes again, because unfortunately he was correct.

the group played around in the lake for a while, but it was hard not to get bored eventually. they had ran out of things to do, they did every water game
possible.

she wasn't really paying attention, all she knew was that now all six of them were not in the water and were wrapped in towels.

she shivered, going from warm to cold. she didn't regret getting into a bathing suit, however. it just added to the experience, an experience she would probably never get to do again.

knowing that the opportunity to do fun things for even the smallest amount of time was scarce, made her a bit sad. but still, that's how she learned to appreciate the little things, the things that she did with her family- the members.

yes, maybe she wouldn't never get to swim in a lake again. but that fine by her, because at least the one time she did, she was surrounded by love.

LANA HAS SOMETHING TO SAY!
