OCTOBER 7, 2022

tomorrow x together were bored, very bored. they were preparing for their upcoming album, but nothing too serious as it was set to come out in around three months.

deciding to spend their time in a useful way, beomgyu suggested they had a color picnic. "what's that?" sakura asked, taking note of the boy's questionable smirk.

"you don't know what a color picnic is?!" soobin asked, a gasp escaping his lips. she slowly nodded in confirmation, why the hell would she need to know what a color picnic is?

"it's where we each get assigned a color and then we bring food of that color to a picnic," the boy who suggested the idea in the first place explained. she hummed, "oh, okay!"

they went in turns, and the japanese girl eventually ended up with red. all the others ( yeonjun ) complained that she got the best one, but sakura honestly thought it was pretty bad. however, she was quite grateful she didn't get yellow, like the eldest.

she spent a lot more time then she should've decorating her basket filled with carefully chosen snacks. she knew that being so invested in something as meaningless as a color picnic was immature and child-like, but she brushed it off. it was nice to let go for once.

the day she anticipated the most had finally came. she happily skipped to their destination, the park. she was the first to come as the group were going in rainbow order.

she set up the blanket, and smoothed out her sun dress as she took a seat. setting down her basket full of red snacks, she let out a relaxed sigh. she soaked in the sun, letting the light wind take control of her hair.

she basked in the feeling, not realizing beomgyu was right there. he watched, curiosity filling his
mind. "what are you thinking about?" his question crumbled the imaginary land she was living in. "nothing really, i'm just happy," she said with a smile.

"what'd you bring?" she asked, and he showed her his bin full of orange snacks. she hummed in delight, rummaging through the multiple items. "can i call the cheetos?" sakura made puppy eyes to try and further convince him.

he slightly laughed, shoving her shoulder. "only if you let me call something from yours." finding his words reasonable, she opened her baskets lid. his eyes immediately found its way to the doritos. "doritos for cheetos?" she nodded, a faint smile gracing her lips.

soon, yeonjun joined them. he carried a box conspicuously, very obvious he was in possession of many, maybe too many, yellow items. he was even dressed in his color, an extent neither the girl or beomgyu were willing to go to.

"you know, this isn't a completion hyung," beomgyu teased, she giggled as she watched yeonjuns face contort to one of fury. he lunged at the boy, and she could only laugh, entertained as always.

yeonjun rolled his eyes, begrudgingly stopping himself from harming the middle member. after a few minutes of small talk, taehyun joined them. he took a seat, opening his basket to reveal green snacks.

her mouth watered, her eyes immediately closing in on her favorite snack: sour cream and onion chips. she made eye contact with the boy, he nodded, already knowing what she wanted. she smiled happily, clapping.

sakura motioned to her basket, and the boy shook his head no. his loss, she thought. the group of four had a meaningless argument whether straws had one or two holes, trying their best to last time.

by now, everyone was hungry and just waiting on their leader and their maknae. the time passed by quick, however, as soon both soobin and huening joined them. soobin had been assigned blue, and huening had unluckily gotten purple.

the group began unboxing the snacks they had been anticipating. the emptiness in her stomach became more apparent, looking at all the food she could've already ate.

ignoring the others protests, she reached for what she had been promised: cheetos and chips. she delightedly munched on the food, her once meditative mood now cheerful.

"ning," she whispered, and the youngest turned to her. she put her hand out, silently asking for a taki. he took one from his already opened bag, mimicking an airplane motion, as he approached the girls mouth, he turned it around and ate it.

he laughed as she deadpanned. sakura looked to the side, a blank stare on her face as she pretended to break the 'fourth wall.' "calm down, kkura. you're not in the truman show," soobin teased, biting back a giggle.

the group burst into laughter as she opened her mouth in shock. she crawled over to the boy, fake punching him. she stole an oreo as revenge, going back to her spot on the blanket.

the two had an intense staring contest, escalating extremely. that quickly got interrupted by another fight, just this time not between the two. beomgyu threw a reeses at taehyun, who in response threw a mike & ike at the perpetrator.

the urge to be an instigator was too much for yeonjun to bear, she assumed, as she watched the eldest somehow involve huening. now it was his turn to throw a grape lollipop.

he missed completely, sakura felt the candy pelt her head and she immediately turned to the boy. aggressively, she tore many twizzlers from the pack she brought throwing them at everyone, even soobin.

their food fight was not as intense as it felt. from the outside, it probably looked like friends just flicking m&m's at each other. in the time, however, this felt like the most important moment of her life.

their fight eventually came to a close, their appetite building up once more from the 'fight.' the group shared many laughs as they wrapped up their day.

they put the leftovers back in their baskets, planning to bring them back to the dorm. the sun was beginning to set, so they collectively decided to stay and admire.

they fell into an appreciative silence, entranced by the beauty of the sun. instead of looking at the sky which was now many different shades of pink and orange, she looked to her members.

they were all she had. sometimes, the curiosity of her biological parents plagued her mind. as she got older, however, she realized that the five boys sufficed. they were her family.

LANA HAS SOMETHING TO SAY!
