"i can't believe you guys insisted on doing this," sakura complained, watching the five boys anxiously turn on the tv. "it's not our fault you wouldn't let us hear your solo debut!" hueningkai retorted, and she scoffed, knowing he had a point.

a familiar pit of nervousness pooled in her stomach. she really really wanted them to like her solo, she didn't know what she would do if they didn't. it was her work, only hers. not one someone else worked on, which is why she was so scared. what would they think of her if it was bad?

however, she did appreciate how excited they looked. it was nice to know how much she meant to them, as a person and as a member. taehyun looked at her and sent a soft encouraging smile. she smiled in return.

beomgyu screamed as the countdown for the music video finally started. "fifteen seconds!" yeonjun shouted, and soobin covered his mouth with his hands. she laughed, out of anxiety and anticipation.

the room went silent as it finally started. the group watched intently as it started. immediately, soobin paused the video. "it's in japanese?!" he asked, and she nodded. "wow, kkura you're so impressive," yeonjun complimented, and she blushed, waving it off.

the video continued and the music cut in, "kura! this is so good already!" huening added, his eyes laser focused on the screen in front of him. the video continued, everyone was quiet.

"kkura is so cute-" beomgyu gushed, but cut himself off from further complimenting the girl as the chorus kicked in. "holy shit," she heard soobin mumble. she couldn't tell if that was meant in a good or bad way.

she did realize his intentions were good after he turned to look at her, panning between the screen and the actual girl. "you look so badass!"

the bridge began, and taehyun immediately complimented the vocalizing she did. "are you going to do a high note?!" huening asked, slightly jumping up in his seat. "no, no. i do in some others though..."

they all screamed at the fact, knowing sakura wasn't confident in hitting higher notes. still, they continued to watch the current video. as the final chorus started, she heard many gasps. "this is sick!"

the video finally ended, the group all turned to the girl. "what did you guys think..?" she asked with a nervous chuckle, the room was so silent you could hear a pin drop.

"kkura that was insanely good," yeonjun started and everyone began complimenting her as well. she waved them off, blushing. "cute!" beomgyu cooed, and she ignored him. "can we listen to the other ones now? please?" taehyun begged, and she let him find the tracklist and go from there.

they started with the first track, "conceited." as the song started, the boys began vibing to the beat. "this is good already," soobin exclaimed. "i know-" huening agreed, but cut himself off with a gasp. "it's a fucking rap song! in english!"

she giggled as they all looked at her, in shock. "oh my fucking god," yeonjun trailed off, listening to her curse freely. "you're insane! you're fucking insane!" beomgyu hyped up as the song came to a close. "that's my favorite track so far," soobin compliment. "it's literally the second one out of like eighteen, bin," she replied and he shrugged. "let's get on with the third one!" taehyun suggested.

"this one is also in japanese," she introduced and they all clapped in excitement. the song started, she watched as yeonjun began tapping his foot to the beat.

"the lyrics are really nice!" huening complimented, and as the second chorus came everyone began singing along. "hold on, fake and true!" she giggled. happy to know they were enjoying her work.

the group quickly transitioned to the fourth track 'OMG,' the first of many in korean. "wait, wait, kkura! is this about taehyun?" beomgyu asked as the chorus came, slightly teasing her but also curious.

the group took sakura's silence as an obvious yes, and they erupted in screams. taehyun approached her with a loving smile he couldn't control if he tried. "you're so cute!" he exclaimed. "stop," she whined. deep down, she loved getting compliments, but that was completely against her whole persona, so she would never accept one.

"kkura, you know you don't have to put on the act, right? we're not on camera, and even if we were, moa want to see your true self, and so do we," yeonjun lectured, suddenly feeling the need to. "i know, i know, it's just- whatever, let's just get to the next song," she brushed him off and began the next one.

their was a slight sadness in the air, an obvious one at that, which the group of six tried their best to ignore. "oh shit, this is a rock song!" beomgyu said, dancing to the beat. "wow, kkura, you're good at every genre!" huening complimented.

the girl realized that they were probably running out of compliments, and decided on either leaving the room or just letting them listen in silence. she chose the first option, just so they wouldn't have to feel the burden of praising her.

"i'm going to my room, you guys can listen," she announced, getting up from the couch. soobin pulled her back down, "no! stay!" she faked a convincing yawn, "i'm tired, it's okay i'll just go to my room," she said, and although her intention was to lie her lack of sleep had suddenly and overwhelmingly washed over her.

"are you sure?" huening asked, and she nodded. "have fun, guys!" she called, walking to her room. every once in a while, she would hear the boys scream. she heard genuine shrieks during 'sakura vengeance' and she couldn't help but giggle to herself.

she closed her eyes, finally letting her body rest. she slept like that for a while, but was awoken by a hand wrapping around her waist. she saw taehyun smiling at her.

"hi love," sakura smiled, turning to face him. "hi," he breathed out, "you did really good," she couldn't help but blush. she brushed his hair out of his eyes, "i'm proud of you," she giggled, lightly slapping his hand. "no, really, i'm proud of you." he repeated. "thank you."

he pulled her in for a chaste kiss. during that moment, her world was taehyun, only him. they pulled away breathless, slightly giggling. "i love you,"
he admitted. "i love you more," she replied.

"i can hear you, you know!" beomgyu called from the other room. their walls were really thin, they realized. the two silently laughed without a care in the world. they were just so in love.
