the two laid silent on the couch. everyone else was out, leaving the couple to themselves. they basked in the serenity of it all.

sakura moved impossibly closer to taehyun, making sure to cuddle into him even more. gladly, he tightened his grip around her waist.

she got lost in the galaxy which was held in his eyes. she couldn't look away, and she didn't mind. she could stare at the boy and his sculpture-like features all day.

she didn't realize it, but she was unconsciously moving closer towards him. she was brought back to reality when she felt his hot breath fan against her face. a slightly blush enveloped her cheeks, but she didn't back down.

she took in a breath, looking down from his lips to his eyes. "can i kiss you?" she whispered, and he thought he heard her wrong. she backed away at his lack of a response, assuming she made him uncomfortable.

his body worked faster than his mind, and he pulled sakura back towards himself. "yes," he responded and almost immediately locked lips with the girl.

they pulled away, both breathless. she giggled, hiding her face in his shirt. "don't get shy on me now, pretty girl," he teased. she lightly hit his shoulder, choosing to ignore the relentless butterflies she felt in her stomach.

she awoke at the lack of warmth. she turned to her side, expecting to see taehyun there. he was not. she begrudgingly rolled over and saw it was seven. he was probably about to leave for schedules.

she would've have gotten ready with him if it was any other day, but today was definitely not any other day. she was on her period, and she felt like she was dying.

she tossed and turned all night, the pain of the cramps getting too much to the point that she threw up. she recalled the events of last night, but she quickly lost her train of thought as her one and only came back in the room.

"i just wanted to say goodbye since i'm leaving. feel better, all right? i'll pick you up some things from the store on my way home. i'll see you later, i love you." the words slipped out so naturally she almost didn't catch it. he kissed her on the forehead and headed for her bedroom door.

"baby?" she called and with his palm on the door, he turned to face her. "i love you, too," she responded. he broke out into a smile. he went up to her and hugged her one last time.

"i actually have to go now, sunshine," he said with a pout. she frowned in response but let him go. once his presence was very obviously not there. she squealed.

she had been waiting ages for him to say that. she was so happy she didn't even feel the cramps any more. this was the best day ever.
