as she read his last response, she quickly gathered her phone and wallet, and headed out the dorm. to say sakura was nervous was an understatement. she was terrified.
once arriving at han river, she found a bench which was isolated, far from everyone else. luckily, no one was there. she sat down, made herself comfortable, and thought.
what would happen if he didn't like her back? how would it affect the group? would they just have to pretend it never happened? what if someone found out? she began to panic, what if this wasn't the right idea? she jumped in her seat when she heard the oh-so familiar voice of her bandmate. taehyun."oh, there you are! so, noona, what did you need me for?"
she quickly composed herself and patted the empty spot next to her, "sit." so the boy did. she immediately avoided eye contact. "so... what did you need to tell me?" she knew the question was coming but it still made her ten times more nervous. she took a few deep breaths and started talking.
"so, uh, taehyun. we've known each other for a very long time, yeah? you're really important to me and i'm really glad that i became your friend and that i get to spend most of my days with you," the boy cut her off "me too, noona, but, if that's all you need to say you could've just told me over text. save time, you know?" sakura nodded, "i'm getting there." and continued her confession.
"yeah, as i was saying, uhm, you've really helped me grow as a person and i'm so thankful for that. and i just really hope what i'm about to say doesn't destroy all that. so let me just say it, i like you, taehyun. as in more than a friend." taehyun was about to reply, but she cut him off. "i just wanted to get that off my chest, i'm not ready for a relationship and i don't know why i'm saying this even though i know you don't like me back-" "i like you too, noona, you know that right?" sakura abruptly stopped her sentence, wide-eyed, looking back up at taehyun.
"do-do you mean that? is this just some messed up trick of yours?" "noona, you know i would never do that to you!" she sighed and nodded, "i guess, but i can't help but be skeptical." taehyun looked into the girls eyes once more. "trust me, i like you. and have for a bit. and i know you're not ready for a relationship, neither am i." she smiled at his words, maybe this whole confession wasn't such a bad idea.
"uh, taehyun, thank you for coming here and uh liking me back, i guess." "of course noona, and, uh, don't thank me for liking you, how could i not?" a faint blush spread across the girls cheeks, the younger giggled. "well, uh, i got to go to the gym. i promised jungkook-hyung i would workout with him." sakura nodded, "enjoy, and thanks again for coming." taehyun smiled and walked away.
the japanese happily sighed, this was a good day.
LANA HAS SOMETHING TO SAY!
this is such a cringey and short chapter but i can't write confessions or like that "lovey" feeling for the life of me. thanks for reading this shit pile of a chapter <3
