INTERVIEW WITH LIPIKR LipiKr
Greetings everyone, Divya this side. First of hearty congratulations for the win to our author. I have read the book too and must say that I loved it to the core. Let's start with the interview without any more delay.
Thankyou so much for those inspiring words…And, I'm really glad to have you as my interviewer.
May we know a few words about yourself?
About me!?
Gosh, that's the most difficult thing to do. Hahaha.
Well, I'm a 17 y/o Indian girl and I've started reading since 2016 and, It's been 2 years since I started writing officially.
Feels amazing to meet a fellow Indian with the same age. Happy 2 years dear.
Oh, you are 17 too!!
Hi5! Girl!!
Thank You!!!
Hi5!! Moving on, What is your motivation to write?
It's basically, my readers.
But, this story, "The Nuptial Chain", is actually a true incident and it was something which moved me a lot... So, I thought about spreading the word to people. It's all the mother's contribution to her kids which is penned down by me and my friend Kunal. This story would not have been possible without him. kklol_19
It did touch my heart too and I am really thankful to you for bringing out a story like this. It's one of a kind I must say. Sincere thanks to him as well personally from my side.
Moving on to the next question, How did you feel when you got to know you were the winner?
This was the question I was waiting eagerly for... Hahaha
Well, actually, I didn't know that I'm the winner but my other friends (readers) over here knew that I won. And, they kept on sending me lots of "Congratulations" with all those stary emoticons. I was like- what's wrong people, have u lost it... What are you congratulating me for?
This was when the results were announced. I gtk after like 2-3 hrs. The results were announced.
I directly jumped onto my chair and went to Mum and told her she didn't bother too much, cuz, she didn't know what that... but, was happy since I was happy.
That's funny lmao. Hearty congratulations dear, on a serious note you deserved it. ❤
Moving on, Did you ever face criticism. If yes how did you overcome it?
Thank You so much!!
I won't say it was criticism... Cuz, it was not... It was hate comments... hahaha!!
So, there was this girl in my class who was and still is the topper.
I showed my poetry to her and... I swear, that was the worst thing I ever heard about a piece of art.
She took it all literally... The words were like-
Two papers kept on my table,
I looked like a leaf of maple.
She was like- how can a paper look like a maple leaf.
And so on...
She said that you're just focusing on rhyming the words and overlooking the essence.
Criticism comes when you have someone well-versed with the topic reading your books or stories. And, sadly. I don't have people like that.
Initially I heard her and then overlooked her comments when it started bothering me.
And, the same poetry when I published it here... Got so much appreciation.
Instead, I have haters.
But, after she said that I was focused just on rhyming words... I started writing in free verse.
Hate comments are one kind of headache. I totally agree with the criticism view you said. I am happy you overcame the haters and are here writing and giving us amazing stories.
That's all because of my haters. They said that I can't do it and I did it. IK, this is clichè but, haters too leave clichè comments.
That's absolutely not cliché. I agree with it, when someone says we can't do it we prove it to them that we can and we will.
Moving on to the next, what was your opinion on the awards we hosted?
Well, it's a really nice way for upbringing different writers' skills and making them kinda famous.
Thank you❤, moving on to the next one. Do you face writer's block, if yes how do you handle it?
I do face writer's block a lot... Like A L O T
My half of the year goes in blocks. But, I make sure when I write I write as if it's my last work and I won't be able to write anything after this.
And... During the writer's block... I just don't look at my diary or wherever I write my stuff.
It feels heavy in my heart to not be able to write.
But, that's something we can't do anything about. It goes as it comes. We get a block when we run out of ideas... So, firstly we need to empty our mind and then start working.
That's something I want to do.
That's great! I basically try to outline things when I write the chapters and then when I face something difficult to write It helps me personally.
Moving on to the next one, Do you plan to take writing as your profession?
Well, more than writing I'd go for open mics for reciting my poetry. But, I'd like to take writing as a profession too.
That's amazing! All the very best for it!!
Thank you
Moving on to the next, What was the response you got when you first published The Nuptial Chain?
It was a one shot... So, people hardly commented on it... But, I got huge and long texts of people saying that they cried a lot reading it and had unfortunately, had some same experiences.
I, being an emotional and sensitive person, did cry too. Tears just rolled out of my eyes.
Next one, Is there any advice you would like to give to teenagers out there?
Trust your parents!!!
They will NEVER EVER choose something which is wrong for you... Also, if u feel that yk something more then sit down and talk with them... Things will be very easy as soon as you start having a proper conversation with them. And, give them time to accept new things. Also, don't be too bothered by what your friends are gonna say... Cuz, the true friend won't say anything... They'll accept you... And, if they judge and let them gth.
And, try to be a little more rational. Half of your problems will get sorted. Finally, don't cling to ya past, cuz, it's gone and, also learn to ignore people's mistakes.
That was needed! Can't agree more to that. Amazing piece of advice dear. *claps*
Finally, can you tell a few words about our community and how did you feel giving us the interview? Any suggestions would you like to give to improve?
Well, you people are absolutely perfect!!! And, it's been a pleasure for me to give you an interview.
Talking about improvement... I'd say y'all are doing good!!! And, I'm in love with ya work!!
Thanks a lot dear, I wrap up the interview here. I really did enjoy interviewing you. It was fun and informative too. I am lucky I got the chance to interview you. Wishing you all the best for all your future endeavours and Thank you for spending your precious time with me.
