Teahyung wasn't expecting to get to Seokjin's house and be dragged into his... person's bedroom right away. He was hoping to maybe hang out in his living room, watch a movie or talk photography or cinematography over some old film.
Instead, his shirt was being pulled over his head as Seokjin pushes him down his bed.
Taehyung didn't like this feeling. He use to be okay with being with Seokjin without any labels, but lately, all he gets to do with his professor is just this, making out, grinding, one hand job--never talking or spending time together for reals. It makes him feel guilty as he pushes Seokjin away from their kiss.
"Everything okay?" Seokjin asks, and the gentle voice has Taehyung feeling even worse. "Am I going too fast?"
"Hyung, is this what you called me over for?"
Seokjin frowns and finds himself pushing his hands in front of his pants, hiding the obvious. "What do you mean?"
Taehyung finds himself getting hurt at his cluelessness. "Am I just your... I don't know if I can say fuck buddy, we don't even have sex..."
"Well that's because you never let us get far," Seokjin laughs, expecting a laugh in return as well, but instead, Taehyung looks even more upset.
"I don't want to have sex with you," Taehyung sighs as he scoots back, away from Seokjin. "Not like this anyway. I thought I was giving you time to get wowed by me, ya know? We would talk, do things other than this, and you'd eventually want to at least consider dating me."
Seokjin can only remain quiet. He thought he was doing just that, but hearing Taehyung's sad voice made him realize he was not doing that whatsoever.
"Do you want us to be together eventually?"
Seokjin opens his mouth to answer yes, but he can't even say it. God, that's the one thing he wished he had control over. He wished he could tell Taehyung he wanted to date him more than anything else in the world, but he just couldn't bring himself to give the younger that hope. Seokjin was his teacher, after all, they weren't even supposed to be together outside of school.
Taehyung means to ask again, but a ring of the doorbell then vigorous knocking interrupts them.
Seokjin sighs and whispers a quick, "Hold on," before he stands up and walks out of his room, leaving Taehyung to put his shirt back on.
As the older approaches the door, the knocking becomes even louder, "I'm coming, jesus hold on." But as he opens the door, his eyes widened. "Oh, hey Namjoon!" he says rather loudly, as if to give Taehyung a signal to hide.
"Cut the bullshit Jin, I know Taehyung is here."
Seokjin then sees a pink head peak over Namjoon. "Park Jimin? Wait, what are you--"
"You have visitors, be kind and let us in." But he doesn't even wait for Seokjin to open the door wider for him, he just pushes past him. Jimin, always being polite, waits till Seokjin sighs and lets him in.
Taehyung has peaked his head out of the room, but just barely so he can hear the conversation, he wasn't sure if he was actually supposed to reveal he was here.
"You are a selfish, hypocritical asshole," Namjoon says as Seokjin has closed the door and stood by the couple. "You know, I'll admit, I went against your advice and still hung out with Jimin but mostly because I wanted to make sure that I did actually like him and I was planning on telling you that I was dating him, sort of like an announcement, to please your goody two shoes teacher head ass, and then I hear you're dating a student too--Jimin's best friend at that!"
Seokjin scoffs, "I told you this before me and Taehyung became..." The oldest sighs because he knows Taehyung is listening, and he can't even bring the words to finish that statement. " Unlike you, I am a professional--"
"Bullshit Jin, fucking bull!" Namjoon points at Jimin, "I can be a professional and date Jimin just fine, and I only kept it secret in fear of you exploding on me because of it, and you did the very thing you basically guilted me into hiding. You made me feel guilty, ashamed, and confused about dating Jimin when I'm the happiest I have ever been with him."
"Really?" Jimin softly whispers, a smile creeping on his face.
"Yes love," Namjoon turns back to Seokjin, "I thought, hey, maybe Seokjin will understand that I'm happy and he won't give me shit about it and then I come to find out that a student saw you sucking Taehyung's face off because what? You suddenly decided you are better than me at dating a student in secret?"
Seokjin's anger boils and he loses it, "I'm not dating Taehyung and I won't date him! I'm a teacher at a prestigious university with a doctorate and a reputation to keep up! If I were seen with him, god knows what would happen to that--"
"You got a lot of guts to say that as if I don't have the same to lose. I'd rather be happy and lose my reputation than be a miserable asshole like you!'
"You care more about a fucking student than your future suddenly? You've lost sight of what truly matters!"
"What truly matters is my mental health and you know what, fuck the university and fuck you!" Namjoon points at his chest as he feels his anger boil into tears in his eyes, "After all the shit you know I've been through, I deserve to be happy and it really sucks that you can't do the same for yourself after all the shit you have been through as well!"
Seokjin just doesn't care, he will not have someone question his integrity or the ethics behind his own teaching and his decisions as a teacher. "I'm not broken enough to date a desperate, pathetic student like you are doing!"
"You can take your insults about my boyfriend and shove them up your ass, if you can even fit them next to the stick that's up there!"
Jimin interrupts the two as he walks in between them, eyes adverted from the two as his concern lies somewhere else. The two bickering professors turn and notice what Jimin's interest is his best friend, who stands with eyes glistened in tears.
"So that's it then?" Taehyung has to grab the little strength in him to not have his voice shake, yet he fails miserably. "I'm desperate and pathetic?"
Seokjin's anger fades immediately, realizing he shouldn't have let that very anger say such things. He didn't mean it, of course, he didn't. He was just trying to keep his integrity intact. "Tae--"
"You didn't actually plan on giving me time to..." Taehyung swallows the tears and the sob that wanted to escape his mouth so badly. "To prove myself to you. I was just here for your amusement?"
"Taehyung, I didn't mean it like that." And he didn't, he truly didn't. He wanted to date Taehyung, but somehow, Seokjin cared more about what others thought than the person that made him happiest right now.
"Whatever," Taehyung grabs Jimin's hand and starts walking out, pulling his friend away, "I told you how I felt about you, and I'm not here to become your fuck toy."
Namjoon watches as his boyfriend and his best friend leave, leaving just the two professors to talk. "Ah, so you didn't mean it, nice going."
"Shut the fuck up," Seokjin turns to look at him, "You waltz in here, screaming at me when you were hiding from me that you were dating Jimin, just to ruin what I have with Taehyung."
"It looks to me like you made it pretty clear you had literally nothing going on with him." Namjoon shakes his head in disappointment. "Never saw you as the rule-breaker and a heart breaker, Jin."
Seokjin can't even come up with something to say as his best friend walks out the door. He was a rule breaker for Taehyung, and because he was too scared of what others would think of the two together, he became a heart breaker tonight.
