^_^ Chapter 7 - Let's Try This... ^_^

"Why are you being so kind to me when you barely know me?"the man asked aloud.

Nana stared at him. "Hmm? Oh, because you remind me a lot of my Zane. I barely knew him until he started hanging out with Aphmau, my friend and former roommate, did I get to know him better."she admitted.

'I remind her of me...'the man thought.

"I'd like to meet this 'Aphmau' person myself, if you don't mind that is."the man blurted out, as Nana giggled.

"No, I don't mind."she replied.

She knew it was late at night and Aphmau as well as Aaron would be fast asleep or at least trying to sleep due to Alina waking them up. "Tomorrow. She's probably asleep, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow."she said.

The man nodded. "Sounds fair. Now, about sleep..."he smirked.

"Oh hell no! I'm not sleeping in the same bed as you, cowboy!"she said quickly.

Her eyes darted to the left to see a pile of blankets, neatly folded in the corner. A fluffy MyPillow laid on top of the blankets. "I'll just sleep there. For the time being."she pointed to the blanket tower.

"Fine by me. Just don't come crying to me when my roommate starts snoring."the man retorted back.

He knew Garroth would me home anytime and that his brother snores like hell. Though, he also knew meif'was were sensitive to loud sounds, so a sound like snoring would wake Nana up. Plus, he secretly wanted her in his arms again, now knowing what her feelings were.

Oh, how he itched to tell her that he was Zane. But, to keep his secret, he decided not to and instead, responded to what she called him; cowboy.

"Wait, roommate?"she asked. "Since when do you have a roommate?"she added, looking at him with a confused look.

"Since a few years ago. He forced me to live with him and his best friend, who later moved out to be on his own or something."the man responded.

"Oh."she replied. "What's his name? Maybe I know him."she asked.

'Nana, if I tell you, you'd know who I am.'he thought mentally. "He never told me."he lied.

Nana saw right through it. "If he was your roommate then surely you know his name. I mean, you'd have to."she said, smirking.

The man responded by throwing a pillow at her face. "Get some sleep, Nana. I'll see you tomorrow morning."he told her, as he up the stairs, leaving Nana dumbfounded and holding a pillow that had a face on it.

She held the pillow straight up and stared at it. She knew that face anywhere, as she had hung out with Garroth Ro'Meave before.

"Why would Cowboy have Garroth's face on a pillow?"she questioned.

She settled with setting the pillow down so it didn't face her and got to work with setting up her makeshift bed. After about five minutes, she nestled underneath the warm blankets and laid her head down on the MyPillow before sleep consumed her.

Morning came as the birds chirped loudly and the sun slowly peaking itself past the brown drapes covering the big windows. Nana groaned the minute the sun hit her face. She could feel her ears get hit with the warm sun rays as the man came waltzing down the stairs talking to someone on the phone.

She quickly closed her eyes as she eavesdropped in on his conversation.

"No. Mom, tell him I'll be there as soon as I can."she heard the man say.

"Oh, but Zuzu, your dad needs you there."another voice said, on the other line.

"I...Ugh! Fine! Tell Garroth he better not kiss a door, he can kiss Stupid Laurence for all I care."the man responded.

"Zuzu? GAR GAR IS GAY?!"the man hung up before he could even respond to his mother.

Nana opened her eyes and jumped slightly when he bent down to her level.

"Good morning, Nana."he said. "Would you like breakfast?"he asked.

She nodded her head. "Yes please."she replied.

Deep down in her mind, she was questioning how he was treating her, somebody who he barely knows as if she was someone he knew his whole life. That, to Nana Ashida, seemed like a bold move only Zane would make.

He couldn't possibly be Zane, could he? She shook her head as she stood up, brushing the invisible dust particles off her outfit. Her amber eyes trailed down at her messy white skirt and pink top.

'After breakfast, I need to get a change of clothes.'she noted mentally.

Nana walked over to the oak table where the man had the table all set for breakfast, including plates, cups, and silverware. She picked up a glass that sat beside one of the plates and analyzed it. It was beautiful frosted glass with the Ro'Meave family crest on it.

She hummed. "Where'd you get this?"she asked.

"Oh, my roommate gave it to me."the man found himself lying.

She nodded. "It's beautiful."she stated, as the man smiled.

"Thanks."he mumbled.

He turned back to the griddle where several pancakes were cooking. The man could only flip one before Nana walked over and held her hand out.

"May I?"she asked.

Cooking was her specialty and she adored every inch of it. The man sighed heavily and gave her the pancake flipper. "Fine."he muttered.

She flipped the rest of the pancakes with evident ease and the man could only watch in shock. Nana grinned and handed him a plate of neatly stacked pancakes, that looked like they were ordered from a restaurant.

He placed two on her plate and two on his with only one more left. He watched intensively as she drowned her pancakes in heavy syrup.

"That's quite a bit of syrup you got there."he noted.

Nana looked down and rolled her eyes. "So? This is how I eat them."she commented. "Don't you drown yours?"she asked him.

He shook his head. "Nope."he replied and drizzled the syrup gently over his.

"Interesting."Nana mumbled. 'Interesting, indeed.'she thought.
