lately,  arabella and malachi had been getting closer and closer together.  they had been each others best friends, besides serena and mason.

serena and mason had gotten together, arabella was practically feeling sick from how much they liked each other.

also recently arabella had met somebody.  his name was carter. they had gotten slightly close but it didn't compare to when she was with malachi. nothing can capture that feeling.

       serena sat there besides arabella, already feeling annoyed by carters presence. "you're very pretty, you know?" carter said with a grin. arabella cringed slightly but nodded.

"thank you." she said with an awkward smile. she fiddled with the end of her braids slightly, leaving him to glance at her hands then back up at her eyes.

when carter started talking again, arabellas phone went off in her bag. it was a small ding and clearly not noticable for arabella as she continued looking at him and nodding along.

serenas eyes bugged as she saw who messaged her. malachi. she quickly took matters into her own hands.

       serena cleared her throat after sneakily putting arabellas phone back to where it was. she looked towards carter with a polite smile, as he got cut off from talking.

"we have to go- she has a family emergency!" she said making it up, trying her hardest not to break character. carter went to speak before not being able to since they were already out of the store.

"what the hell, serena." arabella grumbled as serena held her arm as they walked down the streets.

"save that for later. anyways, you need to call malachi- like now." she said to her best friend. arabella tilted her head at her.

"what does malachi need.." arabella questioned. serena opened her mouth then closed it quickly. she let out an awkward chuckle.

"just need to talk. now go do it!" serena exclaimed to her, getting the phone out of arabellas bag, putting it up to her face.

arabella rolled her eyes before doing it. all she had to do was wait for him to answer, which he did immediately . .
