           arabella waited patiently, looking at the clock in her room around ten times. when she finally smelt the beautiful scent and a voice that was recognizable she practically cried out with joy.

"up here!" she shouted across the house. her parents weren't home because they had to work a bit later than usual.

malachi knocked on the door before coming in. the smell of boneless lemon pepper nuggets entered her nostrils. shes a sucker for wings, but their boneless is much better.

"they smell amazing." she said with a grin, proud of malachi even doing this for her without a doubt. malachi stood there looking down at her. he handed the box to her. he just got a soda to go.

"just for you." he flirted sarcastically, making arabella roll her eyes with a scoff. she pulled his arm down, making him sit on the bed.

"what- what!"

"you're so tense all the time. chill." arabella said looking at him teasingly. she took a bite of one of the nuggets, the flaver melting in her mouth.

"i try to not be- i swear!" he said with a laugh, taking a sip of his soda. arabella shook her head the smile still lingering on her lips.

she hummed before looking at him. "tell yourself that." malachi tilted his head, looking at her while listening.

"will gladly."

"you get what i mean."

"i infact do."

"okay can i eat in peace?" she asked after their small bickering. he squints his eyes at her sarcastically making her laugh.

"no."

"wow, so rude, barton."

"shut up."
