Sunoo layed there on his bed, sighing from boredom.

Today was his birthday, June 24th.

It was currently 9:10 pm. His parents had greeted him a happy 18th with a cake, as his friends greeted him with sweet messages.

But there he checked his phone multiple times, expecting a greeting message from the person he loved dearly.

Y/l/n, his best friend since childhood.

Y/n never forgot his bday, so it made him upset that there's a possibility she forgot his special date.

Sunoo was ready to tuck himself in bed when his phone buzzed.

Sunoo smiled and tossed his body to the side, widely grinning at the new message.

Y/n or whatever her name is:

Happy Birthday, Ddeonu! Look outside :,)

Sunoo smiled and got off his bed as he looks out his window to see Y/n waving from his front gate.

"What are you doing here?" Sunoo whisper shouted enough for Y/n to hear. He was more than elated to see her. Only she can make him as happy. After all, he loved her.

"Come down!" Y/n whisper shouted back as she jumped up and down and giggled, gesturing a hand movement for him to come down.

Sunoo chuckled and did an okay sign, locking his windows as he carefully tiptoed to the living room. It seems like his parents and older sister are asleep. Sunoo giggled and took his coat off the rack and wore comfy boots.

Sunoo opened their metal door and saw Y/n waving as he closed the hinge. He smiled and waved back at her, opening his house gate to pat Y/n's head.

"I've been waiting for your greeting the whole day. Oh! What's that?" Sunoo tried grabbing the box inside Y/n's coat pocket, but she backed away and put her hand out.

"I'll give it to you later. Here."

Sunoo looked at her hand as she nodded, making him put his hand on top of hers, in no time she dragged him out of his neighborhood,

to a breezy beach that had a beautiful night scenery.

"Yah! We've been walking for minutes! And why do I hear the ocean?" Sunoo asked, as Y/n giggled and pushed a big leaf out of the way, letting go of Sunoo's hand.

Sunoo's breath hitched as he saw the dark blue sky with shining stars and the round full moon.

Sudden fairy lights that hung around the trees lit up as Sunoo turned around to see pictures of him and Y/n with a basket full of his favorite snacks on the sand.

"Happy birthday!" Y/n jumped in front of him, greeting him again with a warm smile as the boy couldn't take his eyes off what Y/n had prepared just for him.

"Hello? Earth to birthday boy?" Y/n waved her hand in front of his face, recieving a big warm hug from Sunoo.

"Thank you so much, Y/n.." Sunoo said as he caressed her hair, making Y/n's red cheeks puff.

"Y-yah..Are you crying?" She chuckled and asked him as he smiled at her.

"Maybe." Sunoo pouted as Y/n gently slapped his cheek.

"You emotional baby, sit down, I wanna eat."

"Here."

Sunoo handed Y/n a muffin, but Y/n shook her head.

"No thanks, I'm on a diet.."

Sunoo stopped chewing his food and looked at her. Before he could try to speak, Y/n coughed and smiled at him.

"The sky is beautiful, right Ddeonu?"

Sunoo coughed and nodded, showing his warm smile at her.

"What about that box earlier?" Sunoo asked her.

"Ah.." Y/n chuckled and brought the small box out. She looked at him and smiled, opening it.

"Oh!" Sunoo gasped as she brought out the gift.

"Bracelets?" Sunoo giggled.

"Matching wish bracelets. I made these myself. If you wear this and think of the person you love the most, your wish to that person will come true!" Y/n giggled as she explained, wrapping the bracelet around Sunoo's wrist.

Sunoo looked at Y/n who was busy tying the bracelet around his wrist, feeling his heart flutter. He softly smiled and gently brought his hand on her head.

"Done!" Y/n spoke, smiling at Sunoo, glancing up to see his hand on the top of her head.

"A-ah.." Sunoo snapped out of his thoughts and took his hand off her head, smiling at his wrist.

"Thank you Y/n. For this. For all of..this." Sunoo thanked her as she smiled and layed her head on his lap.

"No problem, Ddeonu-ah." She spoke softly, turning her head to him and back to the shining dark blue sky.

"Are you thinking of the person you love the most?" He asked her as her head turned towards him.

"Hm, mhm. You?"

Sunoo sighed and caressed her hair, looking at the sky again and nodded.

"Eh?! Who is it?! Is it someone I know?!" She sat up and moved in front of him, pulling his arms as Sunoo chuckled at her.

"I'm looking at her right now."

Y/n's smile faded from surprise, her eyes widening as her eyebrows raised.

"What?" Y/n let go of Sunoo's hands only for her to be dragged closer to his face again.

Both their cheeks were red and even Sunoo himself was surprised on how confident he was just now.

"I wish for you to stay healthy,

and be mine."

Y/n was taken aback as her spine shivered. She gulped, her red face puffing up.

"What's your wish?" Sunoo asked her, making her eyes flicker multiple times.

"T-T.."

Sunoo raised his eyebrows and waited for her answer, as her red face looked away from his gaze.

"T-The same one as yours.."

Sunoo giggled at her cuteness and bear hugged her, patting her head.

"Then today us our day 1. June 24th, my birthday."

Y/n lifted her head up as they smiled at each other, enjoying the breezy night at the beach.

Sunoo couldn't be any happier, and Y/n thought the same.
