"Come here!"

Sunghoon gestured his hand at Y/n to come at his direction as she smiled and rushed to him, taking in the breeze of the beach.

Sunghoon invited her for a little date, although they were just 'best friends'.

Y/n put her hands on her sweater's pockets, shrugging her shoulders from the sudden cold wind that passed by her.

Sunghoon looked at her and removed his newly bought leather jacket, placing it around Y/n's shoulders to give her more warmth.

"You don't have to-"

"Shh."

"T-Thanks.." Y/n stuttered as she thanked him and blushed, watching seagulls land on the sand and fly back to the sky, the clear blue water shining and moving.

"This is nice. Don't you think?"

Sunghoon turned his head at Y/n, making her nod as he smiled at her.

The reason why Sunghoon invited her was because,,

He wanted to ask her out.

Sunghoon always wanted to ask Y/n to be his girlfriend, but with his career of being an idol and all, it's not easy having feelings for someone and trying to think about them and smile on camera.

He had an idol image to keep, so he hid his feelings to himself. Until now. Today's the day. That he's asking the girl he's liked for 2 years to be his significant other. Sasaengs might be watching him from afar right now, but Sunghoon didn't care.

"Is there something you want to talk about?"

Y/n asked without turning his head to him, taking Sunghoon aback. How did she know? Sunghon thought. Sunghoon mustered up his courage and and took a deep breath before turning his body to her.

"Y/n.."

He softly spoke her name, making Y/n turn her head to him, meeting eyes.

"Hm?" Y/n hummed, as Sunghoon's eyes glistened.

"Be my girlfriend."

Y/n was taken aback this time, as she was asked the question she always wanted to be asked.

She loved Sunghoon too. She really did. So hearing this come out of his very mouth made her stomach get filled with butterflies.

"I-I.." Y/n wanted to say yes but no words came out. She was too shocked.

"Please say yes. It would be embarassing for me to get rejected.." Sunghoon muttered under his breath, making Y/n chuckle as she gives out a warm smile.

"Sure."

Sunghoon jolted his head u at her, a quick wide smile showing on his face.

"REALLY?! YOU SAID YES, NOT TAKE BACKS!" Sunghoon reassured, making her laugh. Sunghoon immediately hugged her as her heart fluttered from the sudden act of affection.

Sunghoon slightly pulled away and stared into her orbs, pecking the top of her head.

Y/n's body jolted up, heavily breathing from the great dream she had that caused her cheeks to be red as a strawberry. She slid her phone off to dismiss the alarm she set last night, glancing at her lock screen..

The songs have messages, there were dances, there were variety shows, there were ships, there were humor, there were fanfics, and there..

were romantic feelings.

Having to cope with falling in love with your idol and realise that you're just a fan is more heartbreaking than people think.

But what can Y/n change? Nothing. It will always stay the same.

Y/n wiped her tears away like any other day she had, putting her slippers on and heading to her beathroom, staring at her reflection through her mirro for a good few minutes.

You'll find someone for you soon, someone you know, someone you can show affection to, someone who can show affection to you, someone who doesn't live miles away, someone who's not an idol.

Because at least that person will make you feel real.

And not just nothing but a fan.
