• Niki - Finding your cold boyfriend's camera after a fight
"You came home late at night and now you're telling me it's not a big deal?!"
Y/n's eyes had become fiery, it was obvious that her current emotion was anger even from just a single glance.
"I can do whatever I want." Her boyfriend, Niki, looked away with eyes that seemed like he wasn't in the mood to fight right now.
"Oh, you can do whatever you want? Is that your excuse now?" Her tone had become more serious after what Niki had replied, making her even sadder on the inside.
"Okay, Fine." Y/n breathed deeply and walked to the door, grabbing her coat and bag from the table side.
"So go do whatever you want now. This isn't the first time you did this, and I'm sick of it. I'll come back if you ever try having a change of heart and actions. If not, then get ready to kiss our 3 year relationship goodbye."
Y/n twisted the door hinge, walking away from her home, leaving her boyfriend speechless.
Niki didn't mean to make her mad. He didn't mean to come home so late. He didn't mean to cause any of this.
But he understood on why she left. Cause he was always like this.
Niki wasn't the easiest person to talk to. He was cold, didn't open up much and wasn't good at expressing his feelings.
Y/n was different from him. She was the opposite of him. Clumsy, bubbly, positive, humorous and an extrovert.
Niki wasn't open to much people and didn't have much friends. Until she came. She helped him realize and know, 'Ah, so this is love.'
She showed him the other side of the world, where the sky is blue, where people are bright and couples were in love!
For the first time in his life, Niki felt like someone actually loved him for who he was.
Y/n didn't mind his personality, she understood him. She loved him. But he had recently been going home so late the past month, always saying he's out with his friends.
Sometimes she even wondered if he was cheating. But he wouldn't do that. He wasn't that mean.
Niki's body fell on the couch, his mouth slightly hung open by what happened.
He just wanted..
To do something special.
-
"Honey?"
Y/n's mom knocked on the guest room's door, twisting the hinge to see her daughter's front facing the wall.
"Y/n, dinner is ready."
"I'll be down in a minute.." Y/n mumbled, feeling her mother's body sink in from the mattress of the bed.
Her mother pushed the hair out of Y/n's face, as her body turned around to meet eyes with her mom.
"You okay?" Her mom's tone seemed concerned, as Y/n hugged her mom's waist whilst still lying down.
"Hm, not really.."
"Is it because of Ni-ki?" Y/n nodded, burrying her head more into her mother's lap.
Her mother chuckled, caressing her daughter's hair as she can't help but smile. Y/n looked up, pouting at her mom.
"Why are you laughing?" Y/n asked.
"I'm not laughing sweetie, just...you're so cute." She pinched her daughter's cheeks, standing up and patting her daughter's head one last time.
"At least get your stuff from the house. After dinner, I'll take you there. Hm?"
Y/n bit her lip and hesitated, then slightly nodding at her mother.
"Good, now go down, dinner's been ready since 5 minutes ago."
-
The engine stopped, as Y/n's mother parked the car in front of the house.
"Mom, no-"
"Just go inside and get your stuff. If he ever hurts you, which I doubt he will, just call me, I'm just outside."
Y/n sighed and glared at her mother, huffing before getting out of the car and going inside the house with her key.
Silence greeted her as soon as she step foot inside the home, looking around to see no sign of Ni-ki, sighing from relief.
She was still upset, so she didn't want to see him right now.
She quietly tiptoed her way to her shared bedroom, opening the door to see a figure on the balcony. It was Ni-ki. And he was on the phone.
Y/n wanted to rush out so bad, but she wanted to take her stuff first.
The glass door to the balcony was closed, so she couldn't really hear his conversation with that person on the other line.
Y/n opened the closet door and quietly took her clothes off the hangers, placing it on the bed gently.
Whilst taking a sweater Ni-ki gave her for their 1st anniversary, she placed the sweater on the bed, glancing at a dlsr camera she found on the bed and a brown envelope.
She never knew Ni-ki had a camera.
She found the sim card on the bed beside the camera. She lifted her head up to see Ni-ki busy talking on the phone, quickly inserting the sim card inside the camera.
She quietly gasped at the camera opening, seeing the screen show
A picture of her.
Y/n's finger kept pressing right, seeing more pictures. Of her, of her with Ni-ki, majority of the pictures were just her and them.
Until, she came across a picture of hers, in a familiar outfit. It was her first day as a transfer student. Somehow, Ni-ki had a camera ever since he met her.
She let go of the camera, opening the envelope to see polaroid pictures of her and her with Ni-ki again.
Ni-ki loved her. Because again, he wasn't good at expressing his feelings. His way of expression was photography. And Y/n found it romantic.
"Y-y/n.."
Her hands let go of the envelope, lifting her head up to see a staring Ni-ki.
"I-I'm sorry, I was just trying to get my clothes and-"
"I'm sorry."
"H-huh?"
Y/n stuttered, Ni-ki's figure sitting in front of her as his gaze just stared at the polaroids scattered on the bed.
"I'm sorry for making you upset. I just wanted to do something special for you."
Y/n's eyes glistened at Ni-ki's soft words, his hand caressing hers.
"I've been taking pictures of you ever since I met you. Guess that makes me a creep, huh?"
Ni-ki chuckles, his head focused on the floor. He couldn't look at Y/n, but all she was doing was looking at him, speechless.
"I also uh.."
Ni-ki exhaled and brought out a box on his pocket, opening it to see a ring, a shiny and beautiful ring.
"N-niki- that costs so much!" Y/n gasped, putting her hands on her mouth from shock.
"I've been saving it up to buy it, just for you." Ni-ki smiled, grabbing the camera beside him.
"I'm sorry that I'm not good with expressing my feelings. I remember meeting you at the garden at the back of the school, you were the most beautiful girl I ever seen, still the same now. I had a hobby of taking pictures, and I would take pictures of you and stare at them when I get back home. I printed polaroids of us cause I wanted to hang it up on the wall for when I pro-"
Ni-ki's sentence got cut off when all of a sudden, Y/n's lips crashed on his, giving him a small soft kiss. It was short, but it gave both of them butterflies.
"If this is your way of asking me to marry you, then yes."
Ni-ki's eyes widened, a wide grin plastered on his face.
"Really?!" Y/n nodded at his question, as he lifts her up from the bed and gives Y/n a tight and loving hug.
"I lo-"
Beep
Y/n got startled, running to the balcony to see her mother's car window open.
"Guess you don't need to take your clothes anymore. Goodnight to the two of you!"
Y/n waves at her mom with small tears falling out of her eyes as her mom drives her car away.
Ni-ki grabs her hands, squeezing them out of love as she hugs him tightly.
"And I thought you were cold."
"Not anymore.
I can't wait to take more pictures of our memories, future wife."
