5:00 AM
Jungkook stirred in her sleep as a habit of waking early, but then she felt a weight on her waist, she opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was him, his face was snuggled in her neck, half hidden by her hair but she could clearly see his sleeping puffy face. Jungkook gulped at the stronghold of his around her body, his warm, steady breath was hitting her neck, softly making her shudder.
Jungkook carefully tried to lift his hand from her waist, but Taehyung's response was immediate. He instinctively tightened his hold around her, pulling her closer, and she let out a quiet whimper. She waited a few moments, then cautiously tried again, this time managing to free herself without waking him. A soft sigh of relief escaped her as she finally breathed freely, her heart still racing from the closeness.
Jungkook slipped quietly out of bed, glancing around the room with uncertainty about what to do next. She turned back and couldn't help but smile at Taehyung, who was sleeping peacefully with a slight pout on his dry lips, his hands tightly gripping the pillow. Gathering herself with a quiet breath, she decided to clean up a bit.
She looked around, taking note of little things out of place, and then started tidying. First, she reached for the coat Taehyung had casually draped over the couch the night before. She folded it carefully, setting it aside neatly. Her movements were soft and precise, trying not to make a sound, all while casting quick glances at Taehyung to make sure he didn't wake up.
After finishing the cleaning, Jungkook headed to the closet, her mind spinning a bit from the sheer amount of clothes she now had. She carefully chose a full-sleeve, ankle-length frock, running her fingers over the fabric with a look of pure fascination. It was so soft—like nothing she'd ever worn before.
She went into the bathroom, took a warm bath, and slipped into the frock with great care. When she saw herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but smile in delight. The dress flowed gracefully around her, its delicate fabric making her feel like she was wrapped in a gentle hug. It was mesmerizing, and for the first time in a long while, she felt truly comfortable and beautiful.
Jungkook slipped quietly out of the room, glancing back once more at Taehyung. He was still curled up in bed, looking comfortable and warm, with a soft, peaceful expression on his face. She couldn't help but smile shyly to herself, and she walked lightly down the hallway and then down the staircase toward the living room.
When she reached the living room, she took a moment to look around. The early morning light was streaming in through the windows, casting a soft glow over everything. Jungkook rolled up her sleeves carefully, getting ready to clean. Her hair was still slightly damp from her bath, so she reached back and gathered it into a messy bun, tying it up and tucking loose strands behind her ears to keep it out of her way.
She started with the shelves, dusting them one by one. She wiped down each surface gently, making sure there wasn't a single speck of dust left. The decorative items on the shelves—vases, picture frames, and small ornaments—were carefully lifted, dusted, and set back in their places. Jungkook moved slowly, taking her time, focused on her task and feeling a bit of satisfaction as she worked.
Next, she moved on to the tables in the living room. She wiped them down, making them shine, and arranged the magazines and coasters neatly on top. Every little detail mattered to her, and she wanted the room to look perfect. She stepped back to check her work, nodding in approval before moving on.
Finally, she began to clean the floor. She swept thoroughly, making sure to get into every corner and around every piece of furniture. Then, she took a mop and carefully cleaned the entire floor, moving it back and forth with smooth strokes. She watched as the floor started to look polished and spotless.
When she was done, Jungkook stood in the middle of the living room, feeling a small sense of pride as she looked around. The room was neat and sparkling, just the way she liked it. She let out a soft breath, feeling happy that she had everything in order before the household started waking up.
7:00 AM
Jungkook moved gracefully and skillfully in the kitchen, making a delicious breakfast for the first time in her new house, for her husband. She wanted everything perfect, not a single thing that could lead Taehyung to hate or hit her. As she chopped the veggies for the final touch in the dishes, she felt a warm breath against her neck, making her jump in her place. She immediately turned around and saw her messy husband, smiling so cutely and mischievously. His bulky yet veiny hands tugged inside his pyjamas's pocket.
Jungkook's breath hitched and she quickly looked down in shyness, her fingers hooked with each other and battled against each other, so cutely. Her snow-white cheeks reddened as she felt his lingering intense gaze. "Good morning, my little wifey," Taehyung whispered in his morning deep, hoarse voice. Jungkook hastily took a glance at him and ducked her head down and whispered very lowly, "G-good m-morning,"
Taehyung smirked and moved closer to her and whispered in her ear, "I didn't hear anything, would you please say louder in your sweet, melodious voice? Wifey" Jungkook blushed and smiled coyly and said while stammering, "G-good.... Good m-morning," Taehyung who was still leaning closer, pecked her ear's tip, slightly and muttered in her ear, "That's my girl,"
He moved back and winked at her. Jungkook's eyes widened and she turned back to hide her flushed face, Taehyung laughed and hugged her from behind, "It smells nice. Look like my wife cooks really good, hm?" Taehyung teased and tightened his hold around, Jungkook bit her lower lip in shyness. Then, she quickly decorated the dishes with veggies. Then, Taehyung asked concernly, "Are you comfortable if I hug you like this?"
Jungkook breath hitched as she heard his question, tears swelled in her eyes from such soft ess, no one really bothered to know her wish always, but from yesterday everything in her life had been upside down. Suddenly, her wish, her comfort, everything mattered. She quickly nodded as she was not used to speaking more than necessary. "Umm... Food is ready," Jungkook, softly yet lowly muttered. Taehyung hmmed in response and moved aside, giving Jungkook way, She quickly grabbed the dishes and moved toward the dining table and placed them. As she was arranging the things on the table, Taehyumb ca, e and put the water jug along with glass and other utensils.
Jungkook's eyes widened and she quickly stammered, "P-please, Y-you don't have to do that, I-I can do this, please... sit here comfortably," Taehyumg who was busy arranging things barely looked at her, and her panic grew. She quickly waddled toward him and held his big hand in her small one. Taehyung looked at her with a raised eyebrow. She was pleased with her eyes, Taehyung left everything and cupped her both cheeks. Adorable, how his hands could cover her whole face... Focus.
Taehyung's serious face, scared her, she quickly looked down, but Tarhyung tugged her face up, forcing her to look at him, "Why? Why do you feel like you have to do everything by yourself, Jungkook?" His voice was calm, but there was a hint of concern in his eyes.
Jungkook fidgeted under his gaze, feeling the weight of tradition and expectations on her shoulders. "It's just how it is," she replied softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "In my family, the men... they have to be dominant. They expect the women to take care of everything at home. It's how we've always done things." Her heart raced as she spoke, fearing his reaction, but she needed him to understand.
Taehyung's expression softened as he listened, and he gently brushed his thumb across her cheek. "Jungkook, I understand where you're coming from, but things are different now. You don't have to feel that way here. This is our home, and it's not just your responsibility. It's ours."
He took a step back, letting his hands drop to his sides but maintaining eye contact. "I've always done things by myself—cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry. I've never believed in someone doing everything while the other just sits back. That's not fair, and it's not healthy for either of us."
Jungkook's eyes widened at his words, her heart warming at his understanding. He continued, "I want you to feel comfortable and happy here, not stressed or overwhelmed. You don't have to bear everything alone. I'll always be here to help you, and I want us to share these responsibilities. It's a partnership."
His tone was gentle yet firm, and Jungkook felt a sense of relief wash over her. The tension in her shoulders eased, and she nodded slowly, finally beginning to understand the kindness behind his words. Taehyung stepped closer again, his presence radiating warmth and reassurance. "So, let's do this together, okay? Just tell me what you need, and we'll make it happen."
Her heart swelled at the thought of having someone like him by her side—a true gentleman, understanding and patient. Jungkook felt a smile creeping onto her lips, and for the first time in a long while, she felt like maybe, just maybe, everything would be okay.
"And I see my super fast, cute wifey has done all the work before I woke up, hm?" Taehyung teased, his eyes sparkling with amusement as he leaned against the kitchen doorway, watching Jungkook. She turned to him, her cheeks flushing a deep shade of pink at his playful compliment.
"Okay, my red-cheeked beauty, let's go and set the table," he said, a grin spreading across his face.
Jungkook nodded eagerly, feeling a flutter of happiness in her chest. With a light heart, she dashed toward the kitchen counter, her skirt swaying as she moved. Taehyung followed closely behind, his presence making her feel more at ease. Together, they began to gather the plates and cutlery, the atmosphere filled with laughter and light-hearted chatter.
Taehyung sat at the head of the table, looking relaxed and at home in his space. Jungkook moved around him, serving breakfast with a shy smile on her face. She felt a mix of excitement and nervousness as she watched him enjoy the food she had made. However, Taehyung couldn't help but notice how adorable Jungkook looked, especially with her damp hair still tied up in a bun.
Suddenly, he reached out and gently tugged at her hair, surprising her. With a swift motion, he opened her bun, letting her long hair cascade down her back. Jungkook flinched at his unexpected action and looked at him with wide eyes, feeling both startled and shy.
Taehyung grinned, his eyes sparkling with delight. "You look even more beautiful with your hair down. Promise me you won't tie it up in front of me again, okay?" he said, a teasing lilt in his voice. Jungkook nodded, a warm blush spreading across her cheeks as she stood there, unsure of how to respond.
Noticing she was still standing, Taehyung raised an eyebrow. "Why are you still standing? Come, sit with me," he urged.
Jungkook hesitated, glancing down at the floor. "I... I'm not allowed to sit with the family when we eat. I usually just stand and serve," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "And sometimes, I skip breakfast because there's so much work to do."
Taehyung's heart sank at her words. "That's not right," he said softly, shaking his head. "You should eat with me. You're my wife, after all." He reached for her hand, gently guiding her to sit in the chair next to him. "I want you to enjoy your meals, too."
Once Jungkook was seated, Taehyung filled her plate with food, ensuring it was generous. He picked up a small bite with his fork, then turned to her with a smile. "Here, open your mouth," he said, raising the fork to her lips.
Jungkook looked at him with her big doe eyes, unsure of what to do. Taehyung blinked reassuringly at her, encouraging her to eat. "It's okay, I promise it's good," he nudged gently.
With a shy nod, Jungkook opened her mouth, allowing him to feed her. She chewed slowly, her eyes watching his every movement.
As she savoured the food, Taehyung took the opportunity to talk. "You know, Jungkook," he began, his tone softening, "it's really not fair how you've been treated. No one should have to skip meals or stand when everyone else is sitting. That's not how it should be."
Jungkook nodded, her expression serious. "I know, It's just... the way it is."
Taehyung sighed, setting down his fork for a moment. "But that's not right. There are laws about how women should be treated, and they're there to protect you. If anyone tries to control you or makes you feel less than you are, it's wrong. You deserve to be treated with respect and love."
He picked up another bite and offered it to her. "You deserve to sit with me, to eat with me, and to be happy. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself. You don't have to worry about any of that here."
As he continued to feed her, Jungkook felt a warmth spreading in her chest. Taehyung's words wrapped around her like a soft blanket, making her feel safe. "Really?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Really," Taehyung assured her, his expression serious yet gentle. "You're my wife, and I'll always support you. You don't have to follow those old rules anymore. Here, you can be you."
Tears of gratitude welled up in Jungkook's eyes. "Thank you," she whispered softly, her voice filled with emotion. Taehyung returned her smile, but his expression quickly shifted to something a bit more mischievous. Leaning closer, he brought his lips close to her ear, his voice dropping to a playful whisper.
"Just keep looking at me with those beautiful doe eyes, talking to me like this," he murmured, his tone laced with amusement. "And I'll be completely over the moon, wifey."
Jungkook's cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink, and she ducked her head with a shy smile. Taehyung chuckled softly, reaching out to gently tuck a stray strand of her hair behind her ear. He was clearly enjoying her adorable reaction, and Jungkook couldn't help but smile shyly back, feeling warmth blooming in her chest as he looked at her with that soft, affectionate gaze.
