The next morning, everyone woke up early because....well there was an engagement to prepare for! While everyone was busy in Oberoi Mansion, Meera slipped out to go pick up Annika, Sahil, Neha & Mishti from the airport.

*Phonecall*

M: Alia, handle everything there ok. If Sona asks then just tell her I went for a meeting.

A: Of course, dont worry Meera, say hi to everyone from me!

M: Ok, I think Ma's flight should be landing anytime now. I dont know what happened to ma, she just had to come to Mumbai today? Today is Sona & Jai's engagement, I dont even know how I'll handle everything....I'll prob be late to the engagement.

A: Relax, I will explain to Sona.

M: Thanks...oh, I see Ma. Ill talk to you later.

*Phonecall end*

"Ma!" Meera waved at Annika who was coming out of the airport pushing a luggage cart while Saahil came behind carrying Mishti in one arm and pulling a suitcase in the other and Neha came pushing another luggage cart.

(What Annika, Saahil & Neha wore)

"Meeru! How are you!" Annika smiled and hugged her daughter tightly kissing her head when she noticed the bandaid, "What...what's this? How did you get hurt?"

"This? Its mothing Ma....I just....tripped." Meera replied.

"You tripped? See Neha? This is why I had to come here, this girl never takes care of herself." Annika complained, "Is it hurting?"

"No Ma, I got hurt yesterday, its already better now." Meera assured her Mom and then turned to Neha, "And Mami, I missed you so much! Sorry, by the time you came back, I had already come to Mumbai."

"I missed you too." Neha hugged Meera.

"Sorry Meera....I'd hug you too but Mishti is sleeping...." Saahil explained.

"That's okay, lets go to the car." Meera took the luggage cart from Annika and walked ahead towards where her car was parked. Meera & Saahil sat in the front while Annika & Neha sat in the back with Mishti. Meera drove out of the airport parking lot and stopped at the red light. At that moment Shivaay's car stopped right beside her, with the driver in the front and Shivaay sitting in the back.

"Annika..." Shivaay whispered sensing her. As he turned to look out the window Annika dropped her cellphone so she bent to pick it up, and all Shivaay saw was Neha with Mishti sleeping on her lap. By the time Annika got her phone and sat back up, the light had already changed to green and Shivaay's car turned left.

"Shivaay..." Annika looked out the window but didnt see anyone.

"Di...what are you saying?" Neha asked.

"What?...No...nothing, its nothing...." Annika looked out the window one more time before turning back to Neha.

"Here we are." Meera announced as she unlocked the door to the 16th floor apartment that she rented for her Mom.

"Wow! The view is so nice from here." Neha said as she looked out the window from the living room.

"Meera, how much is the rent?" Annika asked.

"You dont need to worry about that Ma, just leave it to me." Meera then turned to Saahil who was still holding Mishti and pointed to a room, "Mama you can keep Mishti in that room over there."

"Ok great." Saahil went into the room and tucked Mishti in.

"Meera, how can I let you pay the rent? I-"

"Ma...my whole life, you paid for my education, clothes, food....everything. Cant I do this one thing for you?"

Annika smiled and gave her daughter another tight hug, "I love you Meeru."

"I love you too Ma."

"Okay Okay enough of this hugging wugging....we need to bring the bags up from downstairs." Saahil said. "Di, Neha, you two stay here, Meera and I will go get the things."

Meanwhile in Oberoi Mansion...

While Meera helped Annika, Saahil & Neha settle down in the new apartment, everyone in Oberoi Mansion was busy getting ready.

"Alia, couldnt Meera postpone her meeting? Its my engagement day today!"

"She would if she could...this was an emergency....sort of." Alia explained. "She'll come."

"When? Soon it will be time for the guests to arrive. And her lehenga is here...when will she come and when will she get ready?."

"Relax Sona....She will come. Here...wear this." Alia distracted her by handing Sona a necklace. "You look beautiful."

(From now on...just imagine Sona has long hair cause its hard to find many pic of Helly with short hair.)

"Thanks...Jai chose this Lehenga." Sona smiled and gave a small twirl.

"Ohoo....Jai chose it....then of course you will look pretty." Alia joked.

"Shut up." Sona blushed. "By the way, you also look beautiful..This blue looks really nice on you."

"You want something....dont you?" Alia narrowed her eyes at Sona.

"What? I cant even compliment my friend?"

"Really? So you dont want anything? Sure na?"

"No...I mean I dont WANT anything.....but... I just need to know if Jai is looking presentable or not, after all its his engagement too. So I was just thinking...."

"I KNEW it...." Alia laughed.

"Alia...go get a pic of him."

"You crazy? All the boys are there, how can I...."

"Please....cant you do this for your friend?"

"But..."

"Please please please......PLEEEEAAAASSSSE!"

"Ok, ok, OKAY...I'll try."

"YES!"

"I said I'll try...I cant give any guarantee."

"Good enough..."

Alia then left the room and slowly went towards Jai's room which was on the other side of the hall. As she approached the door, she heard the guys talking and laughing, she slowly turned the door handle and opened the door a crack closed one eye and leaned closer to see if she could peak through.

"What are you up to?" A voice spoke into Alia's ear startling her.

"Aah-mmm." A hand quickly went over her mouth and she was dragged away from the door.

"Shhh...shhh...Its me, Dev." Alia turned around and saw Dev standing there laughing.

"Dev...you scared me."

"Sorry...sorry." Dev put his hands up in surrender. "But...what were you doing at the door"

"I...actually...I...I...-" Alia looked down embarrassed.

"Let me guess." Dev chuckled, "Sona wants a pic of Jai?"

"How did you know?"

"I think you are forgetting, you and Meera may know Sona from College but I know her from before. She and Jai have been dating since they were about 17 and our parents are good friends."

"Right...."

"Do you have a pic of Sona?" Dev asked.

"Yeah..."

"Great...so you send me Sona's picture & I will send you Jai's pic." Dev held up his phone which had a picture of Jai. "That way...both of them are happy."

"Good idea...I'll just send the pic." Alia & Dev then sent each other the pictures.

Dev came closer to Alia and whispered in her ear, "By the way....you look gorgeous." and then went into Jai's room leaving Alia blushing like crazy.

*Ting! Ting!*

Alia's phone pinged as she got a message from Sona.

S: Alia, did you leave for a meeting too? Where are you?

A: Coming, I got the pic.

Alia went back to Sona's room and showed her the pic of Jai that Dev had sent her.

"My Shona babu looks sooo handsome na? And we are matching...we will look perfect together." Sona squealed.

"Shona babu?" Alia laughed but quickly stopped when Sona turned and gave her a glare.

"Sona bhabhi...Alia Didi." Pihu came into the room, "Prinku Bua is call you, all the guests have arrived, we have to reach the venue."

"Ok..lets go.." Sona replied. Everyone then drove in their cars to the hall where all the guests had arrived. Luckily it was very close to Oberoi Mansion so it only took 5 miutes. Kalyani, Tej, Jhanvi, Pinky, Shakti, Gauri, Bhavya had reached earlier while the others reached with the kids. Sona directly went to Kalyani and took her blessings and then all the other elders too.

"You look lovely." Priyanka cupped Sona's face and smiled. "Look...my son cant take his eyes off you."

Sona turned to the entrance where Jai was entering with Kabir, Dev & Ishaan and just as Priyanka had said, he was looking right at Sona. Even though he had seen the picture sent by Alia, he was still entranced. As he walked towards them he walked into a pillar and everyone stifled their laugh.

"Jai...baby, are you okay?" Sona asked.

"Haan...Im fine." Jai awkwardly laughed. "You look....beautiful. I mean, you always look beautiful but today you look exceptionally beautiful."

"Thank you baby, you look handsome too."

(Pihu's Look)

(Ishaan's look)

"Where is Meera?" Shivaay asked. He had earlier left for a meeting (a real meeting) but returned back in time.

"Shivaay uncle, She went for a meeting." Sona replied.

"And she isnt back yet?"

Ting!

"Oh...she is back, She is getting ready in Oberoi Mansion. She just messaged me." Alia exclaimed as she read the message on her phone. "I'll go help her."

"Okay."

After a while Alia came back to the hall with Meera, Kabir took one look at her and couldn't look away....he was mesmerised.

"Wow." Kabir said out loud.

"What?" Dev looked at Kabir confused.

"I....uh.....the..the...decorations...the decorations are amazing, wow!"

"The decorations?" Dev raised an eyebrow, not buying it.

"Yeah....your Mom did them right? Gauri aunty really has an eye for....for..umm.....for...."

"Decorating." Dev finished still not believing Kabir.

"Yeah."

'Whats wrong with me!' Kabir thought to himself, 'Snap out of it KK. Its just Ms Pagal....yeah, just Ms Pagal.'

"Okay, everyone is here so shall we start the ceremony?" Kalyani Oberoi asked. Sona & Jai were taken to the stage and they sat down on the two throne like chairs.

Pihu came with a plate that was decorated with flowers and had two velvet red ring boxes, inside the box were two gold coloured rings studded with diamonds.

"Now put the rings on each other." Jhanvi said. Dev took one box to Jai while Alia took the other one to Sona. They both took the rings out of their boxes, Jai took Sona's hand and made her wear the ring. Everyone clapped and reporters took pictures. Sona then took Jai's hand and slipped the ring on. Once that ritual was over, some servants came in with the cake. It was white with purple flowers and had 4 tiers. On the bottom tier it was written "Congratulations Jai & Sonali" with purple icing.

"Yes cake!" Alia whispered, unfortunately Dev was standing right behind her and heard so he laughed at her excitement for cake.

"Woh...I'm hungry." Alia cutely explained.

"Thats okay....everyone knows that the cake is the best part of these things. I also came only for that." Dev joked making Alia giggle. After cutting the cake, Sona & Jai fed each other and then everyone mingled and talked with the guests and reporters who were dying for some statements.

Note: Dev & Alia....are my second couple, they are played by an already well know on-screen couple Kartik Naira AKA Mohsin Khan & Shivangi Joshi. They are just so cute together that when I picked one, I had to pick the other and they just HAD to end up together. What do you guys think?
