The atmosphere was cold and light drops of rain lightly pressed against the girls cheeks. She held onto her suitcase tightly as she walked along the gravel that laid before her home.
Her father opened the door for her a smile flashing along his lips as she thanked him. Behind her, Isabella Swan followed after her footsteps.
"I kept your rooms the same, added a desk and new blankets. The sales lady helped pick out the colors". Charlie Swan looked at his children, with happiness. It had been a few years since he last saw them, Bella's hair was longer and she was quiet.
Venus still appeared the same aside the endless needles jabbing in her flesh. The bold black dye in her hair and the way she dressed in all black.
Bella claimed it was her emo phase, something she'd grow out of when she got older. Although Venus was younger by a year she still thrived to be a good sister towards Bella.
Often most thought she was the older sister, she insulted them and it ended with Bella disappointed. Venus ran up the stairs smiling as she walked into her old bedroom.
Aside from the new desk. It remained the same as she remembered it, her fingers ran along her bookshelf. The bare shelfs lightly coated with dust, it was a rather unpleasant feeling against her flesh.
She wiped it on her jeans as she cringed in discomfort. She heard the lightness of Bella entering her room, which was across the hallway.
Beside hers rested the bathroom, and down the long hallway her fathers room. Although he rarely slept in it, the couch was his resting place.
She threw her suitcase onto her bed, zipping it open. She set her clothes neatly into her dresser while her books lined along her bookshelf.
She grabbed Romeo and Juliet blowing the dust off. It floated along the air as she opened the pages. Each marked with pen "you hungry?".
She turned her eyes locking with Bellas. The girl leaned into her doorway, holding onto car keys. "I ate on the flight, I'll be okay".
Bella sighed "the flight was hours ago Venus, come on I'll get us pizza or we can make something". Venus set her book down huffing as she let her hands rest along her hips.
"Pizza sounds good, is dad gonna eat with us?" Bella shock her head "work called" and with that Bella walked away from the doorway.

The house was silent, the only sound that could be heard was an occasional footstep. The girl laid on her sofa, her hands gripping her book tightly.
"She's here!" The voice bounced off the walls when the door was pushed open. "Rose! She's here!" The girl smiled brightly as she twirled around.
Rosalie huffed as she sat up "Alice..." she stood up and the girl apologized for the outburst. "Sorry! But I just had a vision, a rather good one, about a certain someone arriving into town".
Alice clapped happily as she looked at Rosalie "are you sure? Last time..." Alice shushed her by grabbing hold of her shoulders.
"It's her Rose. I know you've waited so long but now it's time you get to be happy". Rosalie smiled, although it was short and hidden.
Even if she didn't show her happiness for the moment, Alice could just sense it. The entire home could, the way Rosalie appeared more bright.
She walked down the steps Alice trailing behind her with heavy footsteps. "She's gonna be at the school tomorrow, that's your chance to see her".
Rosalie wouldn't attempt it, but she was nervous. For once she was actually nervous about something, this girl could change everything.
She'd of course couldn't slip and accidentally expose her family and what they were. It was gonna stay hidden until the time was right.
"You'll tell me who she is?" Alice nodded as she smiled brightly once more. Her hands gripping Rosalie's "you're gonna love her!".
Rosalie kept her expression blank as she walked outside. She remained neutral and calm until she wondered into the woods.
The air was cold and smelled of rain, She let herself just relax for a moment, watching the sky.
She knew sooner or later someone would come for her, Esme likely. She had a way with her words and Rosalie found comfort in them.
Rosalie smiled at the thought of finally having someone that was hers. Although part of her was terrified, perhaps it was best she just kept her distance. At least for now.

Venus didn't sleep, truth be told she spent most of her night reading. She set her pen down on her desk at the sound of movement. Her eyes looked at the clock, and she realized school was soon.
A sigh escaped her lips, and she stood up pulling her door open. Bella exited the bathroom, her hair slightly damp as she dried it with a towel.
"I was just gonna wake you" Venus acted as if she slept but stretching her limbs. "I slept great, my alarm was gonna go off in like ten minutes".
Bella walked past her, "I'll make you something to eat real quick, Charlie's at work". Venus walked into the bathroom, splashing cold water onto her face. Her body burst awake at the sensation.
She hummed lightly as she leaned into the sink, letting herself just think about the day. High school was lame, but she knew she couldn't ditch.
At least the first day, Bella would likely be rather upset about her leaving and getting wasted in the woods. "Vee! We're gonna be late!".
Bella's voice bounced off the walls, and Venus snapped out of her thoughts. She pushed her boots on and ran down the steps.
She put her book into her bag and zipped it closed as she ran outside. The cold air hit her face making her shiver as she got into the truck.
"This thing is ancient" Bella smiled softly as she drove off "put your seatbelt on". Venus huffed "relax mom! The schools not that far".
Bella glared at her and Venus put her seatbelt on making the girl smile as she turned into the school. Venus didn't pay much attention to Bella.
She got out the car at her own pace. While Bella was practically already inside the building Venus just closed her door and pushed her hair out of her face. She could hear the distant voices of people already talking about her.
Being new around here must've meant everyone talking about you. She knew sooner or later she'd get annoyed about it. Bella would just ignore it.
She walked away from the truck pushing her headphones into her ears as she stepped onto the stairs. The gravel on them was rough on her boots.
She ripped the door open walking inside the building where many eyes glared at her. She rolled her eyes at all of them.
"That's her" Rosalie pushed her locker closed when Alice appeared beside her. Although she already heard her running down the hallway.
She still acted as if she didn't. Alice leaned into the lockers her eyes looking towards the girl. Rosalie followed her trail and looked at the girl.
"Are you sure?" Alice smiled "of course I'm sure Rose, that's definitely her". Rosalie watched the girl as she walked down the hallway.
She didn't look at anyone and her music was loud, Rosalie didn't recognize the song. The girl pushed a kid out of her way as she walked into the bathroom.
"Nows your chance Rose, go and meet her! You gotta tell me all about it during lunch". The girl skipped off down the hallway, her arms linking with Jasper who stood waiting for her.
Rosalie walked towards the bathroom, she wanted to turn around at least ten times before even opening the door. She heard the softness of footsteps, and light breaths in the air.
Venus leaned into the sink her hands holding onto a book. "Romeo and Juliet" Venus jumped at the voice entering the air. The book fell towards the ground alongside her bag.
Rosalie smiled as she kneeled down grabbing the book off the floor. She let her eyes linger on the pages looking over all the lines.
Each bold pen mark she let it sink into her memory. "Sorry" her voice was low as she let Venus take the book. The girl smiled awkwardly "it's okay, I probably shouldn't have even been in here reading".
She let the book go into her bag "it's a classic, not most people enjoy it, they claim it's cruel". Venus's eyes brightened at the girls words.
"You like Romeo and Juliet. Everyone always says it's boring when I mention it, it's a rather old story, most people don't really care about it anymore".
Rosalie smiled "I find it to be a fascinating novel" the bell rung and Venus grabbed hold of a piece of paper. Her eyes lingered along the words, although her expression appeared confused.
"Do you need help finding your class?" Venus put the paper into her bag "gym is my first period, I imagine I'll manage finding it, thanks though".
She walked past Rosalie slipping out of the bathroom in a hurry. When the air grew silent, Rosalie smiled as she walked into the hallway.
—
"Don't even get me started on fucking gym class, I had to play volleyball, it was humiliating Bella!". Her sister laughed as she handed her a bottle of water from the lunch line. "Vee, I'm sure you'll get better with practice, I mean you've done softball before, volleyball is kinda similar".
Venus huffed "it is not, I got wacked in my skull twice by some girl with fake hair extensions. Maybe I'll be lucky and have a concussion, ditch school for a few days".
Bella rolled her eyes as her and Venus walked towards the table. "Venus, no way are you ditching school, we're in Forks now. You can't just get away with ditching anymore".
Venus groaned loudly "you're so lame Bella, why can't you be semi cool like mom and let me ditch. She understands the importance of sleep".
Bella sat down "mom isn't here, I am and I'm saying no more ditching school. I'll have Charlie hall your ass into a jail cell if need be".
Venus angrily took a bite out of her celery stick she stood up from the table. "I'll be outside enjoying a sense of freedom before class starts again".
Bella huffed "you better not run off, we have biology together and if you're not there...".
Venus flipped Bella off before walking towards the doorway. She pushed her headphones into her ears her mind dozing off as she pushed the door open.
The cold breeze hit her flesh intensely making her let out a breath of relief as she walked towards the truck. She opened the truck door getting inside, she knew Bella would be on her ass if she ditched.
So she opened her bag opening Romeo and Juliet to the first page. In the distance Rosalie Hale sat beside Alice who was smiling.
"Oh she's perfect for you Rose! You two are just alike, a passion for Romeo and Juliet, Edward told me about all your copies".
"Of course he did" Rosalie looked at Venus who sat alone, her eyes lingering along the pages. "I really think you and Venus will work out perfectly, her future changed the second you spoke with her".
Rosalie looked at Alice "her future will be normal, I don't want this life for her". Alice shrugged her shoulders "well you may say that Rose, but I've seen it, she's gonna be one of us".
Rosalie looked at Venus once more "it's not gonna happen Alice, I'll make sure of it". She stood up from the table storming out of the building.
Alice smiled sadly "I know she'll be happy when the day comes, we just need to help her is all".
