hyejin of enhypen has just recently announced a hiatus from group activities due to health concerns.

on may 30, 2023, belift lab shared the follow announcement through enhypen's official weverse announcement page:

"hi, the is belift lab.

we are here to inform you about the future schedule of hyejin with enhypen and her health status.

hyejin had just went under examination as she has been feeling extreme anxiety when carrying out her schedules as a group, and on her own. she received the advice that she needs rest and treatment before getting back to her schedule.

as a company, we will always put our artists's health first. after many discussions with enhypen and hyejin herself, we have come to the conclusion that she will halt all future activities to focus on getting better.

she will also be returning to daegu, her hometown, to spend more time with her family.

we are unsure of when hyejin will return to her planned schedule, and we will let you know once it has been discussed with hyejin, enhypen, and the rest of us.

we apologize for causing concern.

after this announcement was posted, hyejin wrote a short comment on weverse thanking and reassuring fans ( this is a rough translation ):

"hi engene!!!
i'm sorry if i worried you all because of the news today... i am so grateful that you all are willing to wait for me to get better and because of that i know i will be as good as new super quickly! i've been running towards my goals for a long 4~5 years, and i realized i can no longer keep up with myself. i've honestly lost myself and my identity. engene i am always thankful to you and i sincerely hope you are all happy, healthy, and loved. i love you always~~
