last chapter guys...I'm ending it for now

stefan had discussed with elijah previously about a trip. it was a surprise, that's why he had kicked me out of the room after the mikaelson had killed katherine. I didn't really fancy going anywhere outside of mystic falls but of course I was convinced when they extended an invitation to whomever I wanted to join us.

caroline and I had recently developed some sort of friendship after elena had ditched her and became even more self centred. if that's possible. bonnie on the other hand was loyal to a fault and was constantly trailing after her like a lost puppy— something caroline had pointed out now that she had distanced herself from elena.

and as an added bonus to me inviting caroline, I don't have to sit through niklaus pining after her so often, therefore I'll be playing matchmaker.

africa was our destination and even though I complained a tiny bit, I'm really excited. I've never really been out of the country so going somewhere as nice as africa is certainly adventurous for me.

on the plane, I slept leant against damon who decided it would be fun to play "I spy" with himself and try to wake me up the whole flight. he thinks he's adorable, I think he's a prat. stefan doesn't really like flying that much so he held my hand the entire flight— not that he would admit it.

the craziest thing is, the mikaelsons had a private jet. of course, they're thousands of years old and are probably billionaires but it strikes me as surprising that klaus took time to get a pilots license. he was in the cockpit with caroline who wanted to see if he would teach her the basics. judging by the fact that the plane hasn't started falling, I'd say she was doing pretty good.
