"I'm serious. Look at yourself. It is time to stop playing Grounder before you get yourself hurt" I hear Bellamy's voice from outside the room I'm currently stood in with Clarke.
"I'm not playing anything. This is who I am. You're my brother, I shouldn't have to tell you that" Octavia argues before throwing open the door.
He steps through before he notices Clarke and I inside, the man freezing up in surprise.
"Now I'm done" Octavia snaps.
The dark haired girl turns, leaves and shuts the door behind her, leaving Clarke and I with Bellamy.
"Go easy on Octavia. I had to beg her to get me into camp" Clarke speaks up first while I refuse to look at the man, glaring at my boots.
"What are you doing here, Clarke?" Bellamy demands.
"We need to talk" She answers.
"Oh, you've decided that" He scoffs "The mighty Wanheda. Who chose the grounders over her own people, who turned her back on us when we came to rescue you. Now you want to talk"
"I came here to tell you that the Ice Nation has paid a price. Justice has been served for the attack on Mount Weather. I came here to tell you it's over" Clarke tells him.
"There it is again. Why do you get to decide it's over?" He retorts.
"We did our part" Clarke replies.
"We?" He questions in disbelief.
"Lexa and I" Clarke elaborates "The Ice Queen is dead. The problem was solved and then you let Pike ruin everything"
"Why are you here, Clarke?" He demands again, stepping towards us in frustration.
"Arkadia needs to make things right or Lexa and the twelve clans will wipe us out" Clarke answers simply.
"Let her try" Bellamy retorts.
"Please tell me that going to war is not what you want" Clarke pleads.
"We've been at war since we landed. At least Pike understands that" Bellamy objects and I roll my eyes in annoyance.
"Pike is the problem. This isn't who you are" Clarke argues.
"You're wrong. This is who I've always been" He argues back "And I let you two and Octavia and Kane convince me that we could trust these people when they have shown over and over who they are and I won't let anyone else die for that mistake"
"Bellamy, I need you and we don't have much time" Clarke warns him.
"You need me?" He scoffs.
"Yes, I do" She nods.
"You left me. You left everyone" He snaps in anger.
"Bellamy-" She sighs.
"Enough, Clarke! You are not in charge here and that's a good thing because people die when you're in charge" He yells at her and tears well up in the older blonde's eyes "You were willing to let a bomb drop on my sister and Ava! Then you made a deal with Lexa who left us in Mount Weather to die and forced us to kill everyone who helped us! People who trusted me!"
"Shut up!" I finally snap, causing him to look at me "Don't you dare stand there and pick her apart just because you're fucking lost! Clarke has done everything for us and you have no right to make out that she is the villain after what you did!"
His eyes shine with unshed tears and mine do too as I try my best not to cry, my glare set firmly on the freckle faced man.
"I don't even know who you are any more" I scoff, turning around and walking over to the window.
There's a short silence in which I take a deep breath and run my fingers through my hair.
"I'm sorry" Clarke breathes out "I'm sorry for leaving. I knew I could because they had you and Ava"
I turn my head to see Clarke sat down on a chair and Bellamy crouched down in front of her, the older blonde's hands in his own.
"I know we can fix this" She smiles at him through her tears.
"I'm sorry, too" Bellamy replies.
He abruptly handcuffs Clarke to the table and my eyes widen as I fully spin around to face them.
"Hey!" Clarke gasps, her tears spilling "No, don't. No. Bellamy, don't - God"
He turns to me and I shake my head at him, wearily rounding the table to get away from him.
"Don't make this harder than it has to be, Ava" He pleads.
"Don't make me hurt you, Bellamy" I counter.
He lunges for me and I slip around him, kicking the back of his knees. His knees hit the ground and I whip out a blade, holding it to his throat. My eyes water as he looks up at me and my hand gently shakes in hesitance.
"You won't do it" He declares.
"Please come back to me" I beg, tears rolling down my cheeks.
Clearly using my emotional distraction to his advantage, he grabs my wrist and bends my arm back until I yell out, dropping the blade. I slam my free fist into his face and he grunts, sprawling back onto the ground.
He scrambles to his feet and grabs me, slamming me against the wall. I feel cold metal clasp around my wrist and I look down to see that I'm handcuffed to the radiator.
"No!" I shriek as he backs up away from me.
He uncuffs Clarke from the table, handcuffing both her hands together instead and dragging her to the door.
"Don't you fucking leave me here, Bellamy!" I scream in anger.
The duo exit the room and the door slams shut, leaving me alone.
"Bellamy!" I howl.
I soon give up on screaming as my throat turns raw and raspy, my body sliding down the wall in defeat. I sit slumped against the radiator, my tears all dried up as I stare numbly at my boots.
It feels like I'm sat there for hours, but I know it's not that long before the door is opened and I look up to see Nova.
"Ava, what happened?" She gasps, rushing to my aid.
"Bellamy happened" I answer bitterly.
"Hold your arm still" She warns me, unsheathing her sword.
"Oh, God. Please don't cut off my hand" I groan, squeezing my eyes shut.
I hear three loud clangs before my arm drops to my side and I pry my eyes open to see that I'm now no longer connected to the radiator, but one of the cuffs is still around my wrist.
"We'll get that off later" Nova tells me, pulling me to my feet "Right now, we have to go"
We race through the corridors of Arkadia until we find Kane and Octavia opening the panel to the crawl space, Abby and Clarke wrapped up in a warm embrace
"We know what happened. We know what Pike did. Is there anything we can do to prevent a retaliation?" Abby asks desperately.
"Abby, hurry" Kane warns her.
"We came here to give them Pike" Octavia explains.
"He's the duly elected chancellor. Our people knew what they were voting for" Kane replies "Besides, he has the guards and all the guns. We can't get close to him"
"And that's not the way we do things" Abby adds.
"Then maybe it's time we change the way we do things" Octavia states.
"Security breach. Lock down the exits" The voice on the PA announces.
"You four need to go now" Kane orders.
"What about Lincoln?" Octavia argues.
Clarke and Abby walk over to the panel as Kane pulls out his walkie-talkie, Nova and I passing Octavia as we enter the crawl space.
"You want to help him, do it from the outside with this. The range isn't great โ you stay close and wait for me to contact you. Now go" Kane explains.
I throw my arms around the man and he tenses up a little before easing up, wrapping his arms around me tightly.
"Thank you" I whisper and he rubs my back soothingly.
Nova grabs my arm as I step back and begins pulling me away but I manage to grab a hold of Octavia before she does, taking the Blake girl with us.
