"It's been three hours. What are they waiting for? Even with the light, I don't see anyone" Bellamy huffs.

"I say we make a run for it" Monty suggests.

"I second that" I nod.

"No, that's what they want us to do" Kane objects.

"They are right" Indra says, glancing at Monty and I "They can wait longer than we can"

"Okay, Bellamy. Get in the turret, and you cover us. Once I get to that ridge over there, we'll cover you" Kane orders.

"Copy that. Run fast" Bellamy nods and moves but I grab his arm, making him look at me.

"Be careful" I tell him.

"I will" He assures me, pecking my cheek.

I move back and he pulls himself up the turret. I see his body freeze up and worry courses through my veins.

"They're here" Is all Bellamy says.

"Everybody out, or the boy dies" A deep voice orders and Bellamy is yanked out the jeep.

"Okay! Okay! We're coming out!" Kane yells "Don't hurt him"

I'm the first to swing the door open and jump out, ignoring the rest of the group's protests. I am immediately grabbed roughly and slammed to the ground by two mask covered figures.

"Hey!" I holler as the rest of our team are also pushed to the ground.

I make eye contact with Bellamy who looks over me worriedly and I sigh, internally shaking my head.

of course he's worried about me when he was the one ripped from the jeep

"All targets secure!" A woman shouts.

Monty is abruptly yanked off the ground and the beacon is snatched from him.

"Found it" A man says gruffly, holding the beacon up.

"It's mine! Give it back!" Monty snaps.

"Monty, let it go!" Bellamy shouts.

"Monty?" A feminine voice asks softly and everything turns silent as we all turn to the woman.

"Mom?" Monty replies.

The woman pulls down her hood and rips off her mask before pulling Monty into a hug.

"I knew it" She mumbles as they both cry.

"Farm Station, stand down!" The deep voice from earlier demands and Kane is let go.

"Pike?" I hear Kane gasp and I turn to see the man in charge, is in fact Pike.

"You have no idea how good it is to see you" Pike laughs, helping his friend up.

"Lacroix, Smith, watch our six. Everyone else, I said, stand down!" Pike hollers.

"Yes, sir" The men reply and we are let go.

Bellamy immediately rushes to my side and helps me off the ground, making me roll my eyes with a smile.

"Stop babying me" I groan, pushing his shoulder.

"I can't help it" He replies with a smile, pulling me into his arms.

"Where's dad?" I hear Monty ask his mother and I turn in Bellamy's grip to face my friend.

"Your father didn't make it" Hannah tells her son and Monty looks over at me.

I send him an apologetic frown and he hugs his mom again.

"How many of you are there?" Kane asks Pike.

"63. The rest are camped in the mountains north of here, grounder killers one and all! Am I right?!" Pike yells and my eyes widen as Bellamy's grip on me tightens.

"Ooh rah!" The crowd whoops.

I make eye contact with Indra and hidden beneath her hard exterior, I can see she's on guard.

"I hate to cut this short. We got to find Clarke" Bellamy tells Kane.

"Clarke Griffin?" Pike asks and Bellamy nods.

"If only all of my earth skills students were as good as her" Pike grins.

"I'm offended" I scoff and Pike looks at me for the first time.

"Ava Steele?" He asks in disbelief.

"What? You surprised I'm still alive?" I ask sarcastically, crossing my arms.

"Honestly? Yes. You never listened to a word I said, you and your friend Finn" Pike chuckles.

"Well, you were right about one of us" I state and he gives me a confused look.

"Finn is dead" I add.

"Oh, I'm sorry" Pike frowns.

"Don't act as if you care" I scoff, pushing Bellamy's arms away and storming off.

"Okay! Move the tree!" Kane orders.

"Help them!" Pike orders his people.

I stand next to Indra who nods at me in greeting and I nod back.

"63? Farm Station left orbit with three times that number" Kane states.

"We landed with that number too" Pike replies, sending at glare to Indra.

I take a step forward to say something but Indra puts her arm out in front of me, telling me to stand down and I listen without protest. Pike looks from Indra's arm to me, silently judging the interaction.

"The Ice Nation can be ruthless. Take pride in the number you saved" Indra tells the man.

"Indra, this is Charles Pike. He was a teacher on the Ark" Kane tells the woman before looking at Pike "This is Indra. She's leader of Trikru and a trusted ally"

"I'll have to take your word for it" Pike says, looking at Indra as if she's scum and I glare at him in anger.

"Kane, it's time to go!" Bellamy hollers, letting me relax a little in relief.

"Monty, give them the coordinates to Arkadia!" Kane demands before turning to look at Pike once again "We have a settlement 50 miles south of here. Your people will be safe there"

"You're my people" Pike replies and I roll my eyes, walking towards Bellamy.

"What's wrong?" My boyfriend frowns, putting a gentle hand under my chin.

"We could have found Clarke already. We're wasting precious time" I huff.

"Ava, stop worrying. Clarke can handle herself" Bellamy assures me.

"I know, but for how long?" I ask and he sighs.

The jeep comes to a skidding stop and I grab my bow, jumping out. Bellamy walks beside me as I enter the trading post.

The first thing I see is a grounder man aggressively standing over a woman with a knife to her wrist. I nock an arrow into my bow and let it glide through the air.

It hits the man in the shoulder and he groans in pain, but not for long due to Bellamy shooting him in the head. He collapses to the floor and I walk towards the woman.

"Are you okay? You all right?" Bellamy asks and she scrambles to her feet in fear.

"Bellamy, wait" I say, throwing out my arm.

"Bounty hunter" Indra informs us, looking down at the dead man.

Indra starts checking the place while I take a step forward.

"We're here to help" I tell the woman.

"English!" Pike snaps at me and I shoot him a nasty glare.

"Pike, go outside" Kane orders "Take Monty and Hannah. Search the perimeter. Make sure he was alone"

Pike hesitates, but leaves with Monty and Hannah on his tail.

"We're looking for Wanheda" Indra tells the woman.

"So was he" She spits.

"Please. She's in danger" Bellamy pleads.

"You're Skaikru?" She asks us.

"Yeah" Bellamy nods.

"She was here last night" The woman finally sighs.

"Did she say where she was going?" Kane asks.

"No. She was still here when I fell asleep and gone when I woke up" She tells us.

"Ouch" I mumble.

"She give you any indication of where she might go?" Kane then asks.

"No...but he did" The woman says, looking down at the bounty hunter "He said that his partner came back for her. He was Ice Nation"

"Shit" I curse.

"I hope you find her" She adds.

"Thank you" Bellamy replies.

"Good news. I found fresh tracks" Monty announces, entering the trading post.

"Great. Start the rover" Bellamy orders.

"That's the bad news. Too many trees. We have to go on foot" Monty replies.

Everyone starts running out and I turn to the woman.

"Thanks for the help..." I smile.

"Niylah" She adds.

"Thank you, Niylah" I say gratefully.

"You're welcome, Wanlida" She replies and the title makes me pause a little, turning to exit the building.
