»When it comes to the real enemy, a limitless courage flows into you«

| Fall, Year 851 |
The sun had set a couple hours ago, and the only thing you felt in the very moment was fear as your ship neared the island of the devils. 'Paradis' as ironic as it sounded.
Your lashes fluttered vigorously, beads of sweat formed on your forehead as you glanced at your captain. "Captain, we've heard nothing from the advance party in the two hours since they've landed."
"I know, prepare survey units two and three for landing!" The captain ordered, "This island of devils defeated our warrior unit and now threatens the world! We're letting Marley know what's really going on here, no matter wha-"
The captain was cut off immediately when the ground started to shake beneath your feet, you squeezed your (e/c) eyes shut as you slipped down and your body started sliding down towards the other end of the ship. Your heart was beating vociferously, it was so loud, it drowned out all screams of your comrades.
"HOLD OOON!" You barely registered it, but somehow in the midst of your frantic thinking, you heard the order given out by the captain. Without wasting time, you reached out and clung onto the rails of the ship for your dear life as you felt it being heaved from the water.
"A DEVIL!" The captain shouted, alarming the soldiers around him, which caused the screams to become more hysterical than they were before, fear was eating away at their mind and souls.
You couldn't believe it, you didn't want to. Denial, it was one of your most prominent qualities, and yet it felt real. Real, like nothing ever did before. The heaviness of the situation was enough for you to be unable to dismiss reality, causing you to shake your head turbulently as you fought the urge to weep.
The ship was getting carried out of the sea and you were sure that this was the end for you. End of story. Just like your fallen comrades, a meaningless death was awaiting you as well. You knew that you were about to get devoured by those filthy eldians, and you were not able to do anything about it. Despair, feeling helpless always infuriated you.
You were torn from your delusional state and brought back into reality when the ship was put down on land. The screams of the soldiers died down as your eyes darted upwards at the devil who was staring down at all of you. It took one glance at him for you to immediately know that he was no ordinary titan.
He was one of the nine.
If you were not mistaken, this was one of the three titans stolen from Marley; The Attack Titan.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen of Marley!" Your head snapped to your left as a brunette woman came into view. "Welcome to the island of Paradis!" Everyone looked at her in both confusion and fear.
"I am Hange!" The woman introduced herself happily, "I'm here to receive our distinguished guests who've come here from oh-so-far across the sea! Let's have a cup of tea!"
Your eyes narrowed as you gathered yourself and frantically retrieved your riffle, ready to shoot the enemy, yet Yelena's glare that darted onto you told you that it was the safest bet to wait and not act so recklessly. It would have been reckless indeed, especially now that Nicolo appeared behind the woman called 'Hange' with a smaller man behind him.
"You damned devils.." You whispered lowly as you lowered your weapon.
"If you were wondering about this guest here who arrived just a bit before you.." The woman gave all of you a forced smile as she wrapped an arm around Nicolo's shoulder, "We're getting along great! Isn't that right, Nicolo."
"CAPTAIN!" The blonde male screamed, fear struck across his features, "Don't mind me! Just shoot these damned devils!"
"Hmmgh?! Why would you say that, Nicolo?!" The brunette woman asked him pretentiously in a hysterical tone as her arm tightened around his shoulders.
Then you heard the raven-haired man behind her speak; "He's clearly not interested in playing along with your stupid skit."
"Nicolo!" The captain shouted as he tightened his grip around his rifle, his features contorted in anger, "Listen up, you filthy devils! Marley isn't interested in hearing from anyone with defiled blood! What makes you think that we'd ever sip pig piss with you defiled bastards?!"
"Are you sure that you want to insult us?" The brunette woman spoke again, this time clearly desperate, visible by the crazy glint in her eyes. "Don't tell me you can't see the titan behind you!" All warriors looked up at the titan, who was staring down at all of you menacingly.
"I'd love to hear exactly how you plan to get away from this place!"
"WE WILL NOT BEND TO THE POWER OF DEVILS!" The captain roared as he aimed at the brunette woman, "THIS IS ALL THAT MARLEY HAS TO SAY TO YOU!" Yet, before he was able to pull the trigger, an ear wrenching sound invaded everyone's eardrums and the lifeless body of the captain hit the floor.
"Captain?!" You cried out, "What do you think you're doing, Yelena?!" Before you had time to react, she pointed the barrel of her gun at you, "Put your weapons down, all of you."
"You guys.." One of your comrades muttered, but was shortly cut off when Onyankopon appeared behind him and held the barrel of his rifle to the shocked soldier's head. "Do as she says."
You hesitated, but soon you gave in and threw all of your weapons over board. "I should've know better than to trust scum like you, Yelena." You hissed at your friend as your nose scrunched up in disgust. "There are things you don't understand, (Y/n)." She replied as she turned away from you and faced Hange.
"What.. is there to understand?" You muttered more to yourself than ask her directly.
"Hange, I'm honoured to receive your invitation. Why don't we have some tea?" The tall female suggested, causing Hange and the shorter male behind her stare at Yelena in both shock and confusion. Her lips curled into a smile once she looked up at the titan behind her, "I've been waiting to meet you, Eren."
"E-Eren Yeager?" You spoke as your eyes widened in fear, your voice strained, "The Founder..?"
Yet no one heard you as they made their way out of the ship. Both Yelena and Onyankopon were aiming their guns at the warriors, making sure that they wouldn't get any funny ideas. The hands of the captives were raised in the air as they fearfully checked their surroundings.
More enemies were starting to get closer to you and you were running out of patience, fast. You've finally had it. Without hesitation, you balled your hands into fists and bolted towards Yelena, tackling her to the ground and knocking the gun off her hand. "How could you betray us, you traitor!" You hissed as your fist struck down, aiming at her face.
"Get off me." She ordered, her voice calm, yet intimidating at the same time.
The soldiers around you got a surge of bravery as they saw you in action, and started fighting back.
Just when you were about to send another punch at your beloved friends face, you felt a pair of arms wrap around your torso and yank you backwards, in your infuriated state, you wasted no time and jerked your head backwards, causing the back of your head to connect with the ocean-eyed boy's nose behind you.
You heard a cracking sound and turned around to immediately send a high-kick at your opponents face, but the blonde boy buckled, causing you to miss as you cried out in frustration. Just when you were to send a downward-kick at his head, an infuriated raven-haired female approached you with such agility that you've never seen before and threw her sword at you mercilessly.
Your pulse proliferated beneath you skin as you dodged it, the blade barely missing your face. You were given no chance to attack the female as someone grabbed you by the wrists, much more harshly than the blonde boy did, and pinned them behind your back while holding a gun at the back of your head, making you go down on your knees in the process.
"Don't touch me, you filthy devil!" You seethed through gritted teeth, attempting to thrust your elbow backwards to hit him 'where the sun doesn't shine', but your feeble attempts were to no avail. You tried to turn around and look at the face of your captor that was towering behind you, and at first, all you caught were strands of his auburn hair, but once your (e/c) eyes met his hazel ones, you saw a glare so familiar.
Familiar, because you've caught the same resent and disgust-filled stare in your own eyes.
You quickly turned around to avoid his gaze and observe your surroundings, your comrades who've tried to fight back had all been restrained just like you. "If.." You stuttered, mentally fighting with yourself not to say what you were about to, "If you think that I'd submit to you filthy eldians.. then you're wrong. So kill me if you must!"
The stares everyone gave you after hearing your words only heightened the tension, noticeably fuelling your anger even more. "(Y/n), you better calm down." Yelena suggested as she walked towards you, holding her bruised cheek.
She didn't look amused at all, and deep down you knew that if kept making things harder for her, you'd end up like your captain, whom she shot down just minutes ago.
She would do the same to you. You had no doubt about it.
"If we wanted to kill you, we would've done so by now.. although if it were for me.." You heard the male restraining you speak, there was a hint of resentment in his tone.
"Go ahead." You spat, still desperately trying to free yourself. The male seemed to have enough of your attitude, visible by the way he harshly yanked you upwards, making you hissed in pain and slowly heave yourself up.
"(Y/n)," Yelena spoke once again, her voice low, "Stop digging your own grave, eventually one day even you will understand."
