I woke up at 4 am, eager to start preparing for the day's events. The mehendi ceremony was scheduled for the evening, followed by the sangeet program, and I had to ensure everything was perfect.

I grabbed a fresh set of clothes, opting for a comfortable outfit to tackle the long day ahead. Knowing I'd be wearing a heavy dress for the evening's festivities, I decided to keep my daytime attire casual. I slipped on a vibrant orange kurti, paired it with crisp white pants, and added a stylish touch by draping a dupatta on my left side, securing it with a safety pin.

A sudden knock on the door broke the silence.

"Anisha! Are you awake?" Arushi's voice echoed from the other side.

I opened the door, revealing a bright-eyed Arushi

"Yeah, I'm up and ready! Let's get moving!"I replied and stepped out into the hallway, closing the door behind me with a soft click.

We set off for the Palace Garden, the venue for the upcoming festivities. The palace was a majestic structure, its grandeur rivaling that of my uncle's mansion.

However, this palace held a unique allure, steeped in history and prestige, with stories etched in its walls that spanned decades.

As I passed through the imposing doors and traversed the lengthy hallway, I couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for the palace's architecture, even if I wasn't entirely awestruck. Having grown up in a sprawling mansion, I was somewhat desensitized to grandeur, but the palace's beauty still managed to leave me breathless.

After a leisurely stroll, we finally arrived at the designated starting point, and our busy day began in earnest.

"Hello, beautiful," A boy, resembling Adwait but with black hair, approached me with a charming smile, his eyes sparkling with warmth.

I returned his greeting, curious about his intentions.

"How can I help you?" I asked, my tone friendly yet polite.

"I just wanted to check on the decorations," he replied, his gaze scanning the surroundings.

"I hope everything is coming along well."

"Yes, they're perfect so far." I reassured him,
he nodded, seemingly pleased.

"Good to know!"

"Are you from the bride's side or the groom's side?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself." He said with a smile.

"It's fine, Mr...?"I replied.

"Janav Randhawa." He extended his hand,

I shook it.

"Nice to meet you, sir."

"Since we're exchanging introductions, may I have the pleasure of knowing yours too?" He asked,

"Yeah, why not? After all, it's your family's event." I said while chuckling

"I am Anisha Chauhan, the event manager." I said

"Well, nice to meet you too, Miss Anisha." He replied.

"The pleasure is mine, sir." I responded.

"Janav bhai... Janav bhai... help me, please!!" A third voice echoed through the garden, followed by the entrance of an individual.

The owner of the voice, a girl with long hair tied in a ponytail, rushed towards Janav, her eyes shining with a mischievous glint.

She was accompanied by a younger man who was just a few step behind her with black hair, longer than Janav's, and hazel-brown eyes that mirrored hers. The resemblance between them was uncanny, and I wondered if they were siblings.

"Janav bhai, tell him to stop it!" the girl exclaimed, her voice laced with frustration.

"Calm down, everyone! What's going on here? And what did you do to him, Ariv?" Janav intervened,

"What did I do? You're believing her side of the story?" Ariv protested, and Janav sighed.

"Can't you guys be serious for once? You're not kids anymore." The girl pouted, her expression turning sulky.

"Come on, bhai, I didn't do anything! Ariv bhai was teasing me!" she said, her face radiating innocence.

"Don't fall for her sweet face, bhai. She's a demon in disguise!" Ariv chimed in.

The commotion continued until Arushi rushed towards me.

"Anisha, we need you!" I was grateful to her for rescuing me from this awkward situation.

"What happened?" I asked, moving toward her.

"The bride is having some problems with her dress and has been asking for you," Arushi said.

"Ahh, the troublemaker is making new troubles..." The girl interrupted.

"Stay strong, girl... you'll definitely need some strong confidence to face her. She's a big troublemaker." She uttered this, making her brothers chuckle.

"I wonder how my brother is going to tolerate her for the rest of his life. I'm already feeling sad on his behalf." This time, her words made them laugh, leaving Arushi and me in an awkward situation.

"I should go," I exclaimed, grabbing Arushi's hand and motioning for her to lead the way. We walked past them.

"What's with them? Do they not like their soon-to-be sister-in-law?" I asked Arushi.

"Well, it feels like that, but..."

"But..."

"I don't know what it is."

"Hmm." We reached the bride's room, and I knocked on the door.

After getting a positive response, I opened the door and entered.

The bride was sitting there in skinny jeans and an off-the-shoulder top.

I went to her and asked...

"What's the problem, ma'am?"

"My lehenga got burned. I want a new one," she stated, as if it wasn't her wedding.

"And it should be designer," she added, her calm demeanor surprising me.

"Huh!" I was shocked; it was her lehenga, and she should be panicking, but instead, she was cool and collected, as if it wasn't her wedding attire that had been damaged.

"How did it get burned?" I asked Arushi.

"I don't know, ma'am. I just went out, and..."

"And...?"

"And when I came back, it was burned," Arushi revealed.

"Who else was there?" I questioned, my eyes narrowing. Arushi's gaze shifted toward the bride.

"Do you think I burned it? Huh... Do you think I would ruin my own wedding function?" Saniya, the bride, exclaimed, realizing Arushi's accusatory gaze.

"No, no, ma'am! I don't mean that," Arushi defended herself.

"Well, let it go. But now, I want a new dress, and you," Saniya pointed towards me,

"She should go and get me my dress, and it should be according to my taste."

"But I'm not the one responsible for dresses, and I have other tasks to attend to." I tried to explain in an attempt to save myself, realizing that this situation was somehow pinned on me, though I had no idea what I did to deserve this treatment from a woman I didn't even know.

"I don't know that, but I want you to get my dress, and that's final," she stated firmly.

"But-" I tried to protest only to be cut off by Arushi.

"Sure, ma'am! She will go," Arushi intervened, and then she pulled me out of the room.

"Hey! What was that?" I asked, exasperated.

"Well, no matter how much you try to convince her, she won't budge. So, rather than wasting our time here and risking threats of losing our jobs, we'd better move our butts... the faster, the better," Arushi said, her tone pragmatic.

I sighed, feeling frustrated. This situation was already worse than I thought, and to make matters worse, it was only just beginning.

Arushi led me directly to Raunak and Aman, who were in the garden, likely oblivious to the chaos that had just unfolded.

"What's going on?" Aman asked, his voice laced with concern.

"Seems like Saniya has some major issues with Anisha," Arushi replied, her tone neutral.

"What? But how?" Raunak questioned, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Saniya demanded that Anisha bring her mehendi dress," Arushi explained.

"But didn't the dresses arrive already?" Aman spoke, confusion etched on his face.

"Yeah, but Saniya burned it and now she's ordering Anisha to buy a new one from the market," Arushi explained, her expression unchanging.

"Holy shit!" Aman exclaimed.

"Was she this difficult during the engagement too?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

"Worse!" Raunak replied, his face grim.
"She was a nightmare to deal with."

"Well, then let's get through this," I uttered, trying to sound optimistic.

"It's not that easy," Aman countered.

"Saniya wants a designer dress, and with her picky nature, it won't be easy to find one that meets her standards."

"Don't worry, I'll manage it," I assured, a smirk forming on my lips unintentionally. It seemed like Matteo and Jarek were getting a new job.

"Should I come with you?" Aman offered, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. It felt like this boy had a crush on me,
but I thought to myself, 'Don't get your hopes up, boy. I'm way out of your league.'

"No, you have work here," Raunak stopped him.

"Don't worry, I can manage it," I repeated, trying to sound confident.

"Are you sure?" Raunak, Arushi, and Aman pronounced in unison, their faces filled with concern.

"Yeah, I'm not a toddler!" I replied with a laugh. "And I have a friend here who knows some good designers. I'm sure she'll help me out."

"How much time will you need?" Raunak spoke, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"I don't know, probably a few hours," I responded, shrugging my shoulders.

He glanced at his wristwatch and said,

"It's 11 a.m. now. The mehendi will be starting at 4, and the bride will need almost an hour to get ready. You need to come back before 2."

"Hmm... sure," I said, nodding my head.

"Okay, here, take the car keys," Raunak said, handing me the keys with a tight smile.

Raunak guided me towards the parking lot and showed me the car, a sleek black XUV 300. He then retreated, leaving me to my task, as he had pending work to attend to. I slipped inside the car, feeling the luxurious interior envelop me, and drove out of the grand palace. As soon as the tires hit the main road, I pulled out my phone and called Jarek. He responded on the third ring.

"Ciao" Jarek's deep voice resonated through the speaker.

(Hello)

"Ciao" I exchanged the greeting

(Hello)

" ho bisogno del tuo aiuto per una cosa." I replied, my eyes fixed on the road ahead.

(I need your help with something,)

"Cosa volevi?" he asked.

(What did you want?)

"Voglio tutti i migliori vestiti mehendi," I replied.

(I want all the best mehendi dresses)

"Sembra che tu stia prendendo il tuo lavoro molto sul serio," he chuckled, his laughter low and smooth.

(It seems like you are taking your job very seriously)

"Ridi, ridi, dopo avermi messo in una situazione del genere," I shot back, my tone playful.

(Laugh, laugh, after putting me in such a situation)

"Dove sei?" I questioned.

(Where are you?)

"In hotel," he replied, his voice brief.

"Prepara i vestiti prima che arrivi lì.." I commanded, my tone firm.

(Prepare the clothes before I get there)

"Don't come here. Just go to any coffee shop. I'll send someone with the dresses," he instructed, his voice casual.

"Okh!! Fine, but you have only two hours," I said, my tone urgent.

"Va bene," he replied.
(It's fine)

I went to a nearby coffee shop and waited for almost two hours, sipping on a latte and checking my watch every few minutes. Finally, a man entered with a suitcase in hand, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on me.

He approached me, handed over the suitcase, and with a brief nod, turned and left.

I took the suitcase and headed back to the car, placing it in the backseat before driving back to the palace.

As I parked the car and stepped out, I glanced at my watch and felt a wave of relief wash over me - it was 1:30, and I was right on time.

"Miss Anisha," a voice rang out through the corridors, echoing off the marble floors. I turned to see the soon-to-be groom standing with another man who I hadn't met yet.

His eyes met mine, and he smiled, his expression warm and welcoming.

The man's piercing grey eyes sparkled with warmth, complemented by his rich brown hair, perfectly styled to accentuate his chiseled features and strong jawline. His cream-colored shirt, tailored to perfection, fit his broad shoulders and athletic build, while his blue pants and matching jacket exuded a sense of sophistication and elegance. As our eyes met, he smiled, his expression radiating warmth and kindness, making me feel instantly at ease.

"Hello, sir. How can I help you?" I enquire the unfamiliar man, trying to sound polite and professional.

"Miss, can you help me with something?" He spoke in a smooth tone, his grey eyes gazing at me intently.

"Sure, if it's within my reach, I'll definitely try," I replied, my mind racing with possibilities.

"Well, it definitely is," he uttered with a hint of a smile.

"Oh, okay. I'll try my best," I responded, curiosity getting the better of me.
"But what is it?"

"Just a doubt," he remarked vaguely.

"I'll try to answer your question if it's within my power," I voiced, trying to sound confident despite the millions of questions running through my mind. As an impostor, I was wary of being caught off guard.

"Well, I want to ask you if you have ever been to Bengaluru," he grilled, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"Huh!" I was taken aback by the question, my mind racing to recall Anisha's history.

"I don't think I have ever been there," I replied, trying to sound convincing. From what I knew, Anisha had grown up in Mumbai and lived there, visiting different places often but never venturing to Bengaluru.

"Oh! Are you sure?" He raised an eyebrow, his gaze piercing.

"Yeah, I'm sure," I replied with full confidence, hoping my bluff wouldn't be called out.

"Oh! Okay!" He nodded, his expression unreadable.

I started to move toward the bride's chamber, but my curiosity got the better of me.

"By the way, why did you ask?" I turned back to face him, my eyes narrowing slightly.

It was his turn to be taken aback.

"Well...you see..." He hesitated, his eyes darting to Adwait, who was standing beside him.

"He feels like he's seen you there," Adwait interrupted, his voice low and serious.

The man threw a glance at Adwait, his expression stern, as if warning him to keep quiet.

"Ohh" was all I could say, my mind racing with possibilities. What did he mean? Had Anisha been to Bengaluru without my knowledge? Or was this some kind of trap? I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized the depth of my deception.

I left the mysterious conversation behind and entered Saniya's room, where I found her lashing out at Arushi. My presence halted their interaction, bringing a mix of emotions to the surface. Arushi's face reflected relief, while Saniya's eyes widened in shock.

"Here are your dresses, ma'am. Please choose one," I said, placing the bag on the table. Arushi assisted me in unpacking and arranging the dresses on the bed, each one more stunning than the last.

Saniya's expression transformed from shock to amazement as she scanned the selection.

She finally chose a light green dress, and to my surprise, she didn't throw any tantrums. Arushi and I exchanged a sigh of relief as Saniya headed to change. Arushi quickly called the makeup artist, ensuring they arrived before Saniya could change her mind.

Here's an enhanced version of the passage:

When the makeup artist arrived, Saniya emerged from the dressing room, resplendent in her light green dress.

The artist's eyes widened in admiration, and I couldn't help but agree. "This dress suits you perfectly, ma'am, and with a little touch of makeup, I'm sure you'll be stunning!" The artist exclaimed, and Arushi and I chimed in with our approval.

Saniya's face lit up with a smile, and for a moment, her diva persona was replaced by a glimpse of genuine happiness.

I took the opportunity to slip away, leaving the makeup artist to work her magic. With the functions about to commence, I had to ensure everything was in order, from the decorations to the arrangements. I made my way through the palace, checking on the various preparations, my mind focused on the tasks at hand.

I strolled through the garden, ensuring everything was in place for the separate rituals.

The bride's and groom's functions had different themes, and I had chosen distinct corners of the garden for each.

On my way back to my room, I met King Abhyant and Queen Ishwari, exchanging greetings and updates on the preparations.

They were pleased with my assurances, and their kindness shone through as they reminded me to enjoy the celebrations, not just work. We parted ways, and I continued to get ready, feeling grateful for the sweet encounter.

I retreated to my room to transform into my finery. A refreshing pause in the bathroom, and I emerged ready to adorn myself. I slipped into a stunning light green sharara, its intricate embroidery shimmering in the light. Next, I added a delicate touch with white bead earrings and gold-toned metal bangles that complemented my outfit perfectly. Finally, I slid on silver sandals, their subtle sparkle completing my look. Ready to take on the festivities, I felt elegant and poised

I added a subtle touch of makeup to enhance my features, completing my overall look. After a final glance in the mirror, I headed out to give the venue a last-minute once-over.

As I arrived, I saw that others had already gathered, and my heart swelled with pride. Before me lay the stunning result of our collective efforts.

While others had executed the tasks, I had directed and envisioned it all, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of ownership and admiration for the beautiful setup. I gazed upon the breathtaking decorations, my eyes drinking in the vibrant colors and elegant arrangements, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction and joy.

The groom's side

The bride's side

Just as I was basking in the glory of my accomplishments, my inner voice whispered a gentle reminder:

"Don't forget why we are here!" It was a timely nudge to refocus on the purpose of the gathering and not get lost in the festivities.

I took a deep breath, composed myself, and remembered that my role was not just to oversee the decorations, but to ensure that my entire plan unfolds smoothly and successfully.

My gaze fell on Arushi, stunning in a dark green lehenga, her hair sleek in a high ponytail, and silver earrings completing her look. Aman wore a vibrant turquoise kurta, while Raunak donned a tea green one.

"Wow, breathtaking!" Aman exclaimed.

"You're slaying this dress!" Raunak added

"No wonder Lady Mogambo was targeting you - she's jealous!" Arushi whispered,

I raised an eyebrow.
"Lady Mogambo?"

"The bride," Arushi clarified.

"You all look outstanding too." I smiled.

"Nothing compared to you." Aman replied,

I thanked them, basking in the warm compliments.

As the anticipation built, the room filled with the buzz of excitement. The doors opened, and the groom made his grand entrance, resplendent in his finery. His confident stride and beaming smile captivated the attention of all present. The atmosphere was electric, and the air was thick with expectation. With his arrival, the ceremonies began, marking the start of a joyous and momentous occasion.

Groom's dress

He was breathtakingly handsome, his simple kurta accentuating his chiseled features without mercy. I found myself momentarily entranced, my eyes fixed on him.

As I raised my gaze, our eyes met, and I swiftly looked away, my heart racing. What was wrong with me?

He is the groom Anisha... Ahh.. Ava now I am even forgetting my own name..I was behaving like a smitten schoolgirl. I chided myself, 'What's wrong with you, Ava? You're here for something serious, not drool over the groom!'

Soon the bride too entered the venue
