I arrived at the York Corporation in just 30 minutes, having driven so fast that I almost hit another car. I burst into Jarek's office, finding him sitting at his desk, running his hands through his hair in frustration, and shouting at his employees.

"Fu"k, none of you are of any use."

"You morons, get out , get out!!"

"Fuck! Fuck! fuck!"

I could feel the tension in the air.

"Jarek" I shouted.

"Sorella"
(Sis)

"How did it happened?"

"A rat did that."

"Fuck!"

"Did he taked anything else too?"

"No!"

"Okh! That sounds better."

"So their sole purpose was to stole that ..."

"Hmm," he murmured, and his anger seemed to dissipate slightly.

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, composing himself.

I took a seat in the chair opposite him and gestured to his employees to leave.

They hastily departed, nodding to me as if they feared I might change my mind at any moment.

As soon as the door closed, Jarek slumped into a chair and buried his face in his hands.

Ahh!! Uff!! What will we are going to do now?"

"Did you tell anyone else?"

" No, not even dad.."

"Okh! We have to get out of this situation before anyone else will get to know about it.

Specially that moron Santo.

He hums in response.

"Let's get to work."

"Ya"

"So when did it happened?"

"How did you all get to know?"

"The alarm!" He rubbed his temple .

"Did you get to know who is this rat is?"

"Yeah!!"

"Who is he ?"

He handed me a file containing information about the thief.

I read through the file and then turned to face Jarek.

"He was just a driver?" I asked, my brows furrowed in disbelief.

"Hmm, and he was hired just two months ago!"

"Right around the same time we started the project!" I exclaimed.

"Hmmm..." The tension in the room escalated.

"So, all of this was a setup. They were just waiting for us to secure the deal, and..."

"They stole it," Jarek finished my sentence.

"There's definitely someone masterminding this."

"Hmm..." Jarek nodded in agreement.

"We need to uncover the one behind all of this!"

"We need to find the one behind all of this!"

"They will pay for it," I added, determination in my voice.

"So, let's get to work before the beans get spilled more" I urged.

After an hour......

"We've found the mole!" Jarek exclaimed, entering in the cabin.

"Really? Are you certain?"

"Absolutely," he confirmed.

"Has he talked yet?"

"Not yet, but he will soon..."

"He doesn't seem like a professional in this field, just a novice."

"Interesting. I'm eager to learn who this person is that underestimates us so greatly..."

"Hmm, indeed. Agreed."

"Maestro, ha aperto la bocca." Matteo says entering in the cabin.

("Master, he opened his mouth")

"cosa ha detto? Chi c'è dietro tutto questo?" Both of us throwed the ball of questions at the same time towards Matteo.

("What did he say? Who's behind all this?" )

"Luca!"

" The one who is leading a small group of gangs and got some unknown patron! Huh!" Jarek questioned looking towards Matteo.

"Yes sir!" Matteo answers

"Very well seems like this boy really thinks too highly of himself." Jarek said

"Very well seems like it's time to make him face the reality and see who is the ruler here ." I said

"Matteo I want him in my dungeons!"

"Sure mancare!(miss)

"Don't you think, Jarek, that it was too easy?" I asked, my tone laced with skepticism.

"What are you getting at?" he replied.

"I don't know, but something feels off. It's like we're missing a piece of the puzzle. Everything that's happening doesn't add up. And especially Luca - did you see how easily he cracked?"

"You're right, Sorella. It is suspicious..." Jarek trailed off, sharing my concerns.

"But how are we going to verify that what he's saying is true? We can't just go to Randhawa's and ask if they're involved... that would be the most ridiculous thing to do!" Jarek exclaimed.

"Actually, that's not a bad idea!" I replied.

"What?! Are you serious?!" Jarek laughed.

"You think we'll just ask them and they'll tell us the truth? Have you lost a screw or has your brain gone numb from the pressure of workload...huh!!" He interrupted, annoyingly.

"Shut up!" I snapped.

"I didn't mean it like that," I clarified.

"So?" Jarek replied, awaiting my next suggestion.

"I think we need to investigate them further."
"Well, we should check Luca's history and see if he's had any contact with the Randhawa's."

"Hmm, and if they have been in touch with each other, then..." Jarek's eyes narrowed.

"then we need to pay a visit to India."

"Very well, let's look into it."

"Hmm," I murmured, already thinking ahead.

Time flew by as I sat in the comfortable chair.
I sighed, feeling restless.

I prefer being actively involved in missions, not like the last one, but like the exciting ones I've had in the past.

Those were thrilling! Life is enjoyable when it's filled with adventure.

The phone on Subhra's desk buzzed, breaking the silence. She lifted her face from the stack of files and answered the call.

The screen displayed Jarek's caller ID, and she promptly picked up.

On the other end, Jarek's voice came through, "Sorella, it seems we need to travel far to catch our culprit..."

"So, they've been in contact with each other," Subhra inferred.

"Yeah, for almost three years!" Jarek replied.

"Interesting. They think they can interfere with our business while pretending to be neutral..." Subhra said, her tone laced with skepticism.

"Hmm..." "It's time they learned why people say don't play with fire!" Jarek said sarcastically.

"Yup, they'll have to learn a lesson so they remember that no one can touch our things."

The call ended abruptly.

...........🦋🦋🦋........

Jarek, Matteo, and I decided to head to India the very next day.

We arrived at the airport in the morning, ready to depart on our private jet, which meant we had nothing to worry about.

We took our seats, and soon the flight took off. I was thrilled to be returning to my motherland, a place I missed deeply.

No matter how comfortable my life was elsewhere, India would always be my homeland.

I even thought to myself, "Maybe I should marry an Indian and settle there..." But soon I dismissed the idea of marriage it's not like I hate the idea but I don't wanna to get married this early and there where already so many problems in my life to deal with I don't want to involve anyone else in my personal matters.

This trip isn't just about retrieving the red diamond; it's also about uncovering the truth about my brother. Recently, I've stumbled upon some clues about my family that have left me with more questions than answers. I'm determined to dig deeper and confirm whether everything I've discovered is just a dream or... Let's just hope for the best.

The fate has started to take some unexpected turns...

But is it fate itself that's driving these changes,

or are humans trying to manipulate and control the destiny of others?

Let's meet again in the next chapter
