THE LOUD BANG placed against the door made them unsure of this. The creepy and large house was way from Kildare but, they did this for Pope. Mainly, because they love him. And because they were already at the door.

"Think that was to much?" Pope asked, "Maybe a little." June shrugged, "Echoed through the whole house." JJ added. "Maybe nobody's home?"

Pope did it once again, only for it to open half way through his movement. They all backed up at this, staring at the man infront of them. "You must be Pope." He smiled. "Are you Mr. Limbrey?"

"Ms. Limbrey was expecting you yesterday." He explained, "Oh I'm sorry. My car broke down on the way up here." As the man examined the group, June tried to plaster on a smile, but it only turned into a disgusted face. "Carburetor blew up in the middle of Nowhersville. Sorry about that." JJ said.

"Yeah, she was, uh, real upset when you didn't show up." Kiara looked at her feet quickly, "We tried to call but there's no number on the invitation. We got here as fast as we could."

"She also expected you to come alone." June furrowed her eyebrows at his words.

"I mean, these are my friends. They helped me find the royal merchant too." Pope was cut off rudely, "The instructions were explicit. Your friends can wait outside."

"I disagree, sir." June stepped up, only for Pope to put his arm infront of her, "June. I got this." He said, as she took a step back.

"I'll be good." Pope reassured, but they couldn't shake the obviously worried face off of them. "Yeah. We'll be right here." Kiara said, giving him a smile.

"Keep the car running." Pope grabbed her hand, making June take another step back as she watched the sight. Kiara clung to him almost, giving him not only a smile but sad eyes to even let go of his hand.

JJ noticed this and softened his expression, placing a hand on her back. June looked back at him, taking a deep breathe as she sat on the ledge.

June's feet kicked in a bored manner as her shoulders rested on her knees. Waiting for Pope was like torture knowing it could either be a good or terrible outcome. She was on the porch, alone because she refused to let anything happen to Pope as the other two stayed in the car. Her patience was starting to become light.

But she noticed something.

It was quiet and she could no longer hear the loud sound of the car running. But, as she listened closely, you could hear the light chatter of three voices.

Her footsteps were quiet as she made her way to the garden, peaking over the gate, "Here lies Denmark Tanny the famous ex-slave. You know the story?" She asked, "What story?"

"Denmark Tanny was a freedman, a wealthy planter. He was able to buy the freedom of his three sons, but when he tried to buy his wife and daughters freedom, my paternal ancestors refused." June furrowed her eyebrows as she poked her head over the gate.

"When his wife, Cecilia, tried to run away with the baby, they sent the hounds on her. Cecilia drowned trying to escape, the baby survived, and Denmark was hung. Allegedly, he was abetting a slave revolt but really for gathering the remains of his wife." Pope's face was full of emotion, making her grip the gate tighter.

"Never heard this story?" She asked once more. "No." He deadpanned, turning to face her. "And I think once is enough." Pope tried to walk away but was quickly grabbed, "Hey. You think that I'm stupid?"

"No, no, I don't." Pope denied, "Why else would the Routledge boy involve you? Your family has the key." Ms. Limbrey continued. "I don't know what your talking about."

June was ready to jump over the gate, her foot in between one of the pieces of wood. She needed to be ready to jump in at any given moment, "Hey. Did Ward get to you?"

"No. Ward Cameron? Are you crazy?" Pope's voice cracked, his trembling body being held closer to hers, "They key leads to the cross, The cross of Santo Domingo. "The real treasure lies at the foot of the angel." Those were Denmark's last words. Does that ring any bells?"

"No it's doesn't. It doesn't ring any bells and um, thank you but I'm gonna go back to the 21st century now." They let Pope walk away but she knew it was over as the two gathered closer, "We'll trade for his father. His son for the key. Go."

June didn't waste any time once the man walked away, jumping over the fence, "Bitch!" She yelped, kicking her over with one swift motion. The lady let out a scream, as June sprinted away from her. Ms. Limbrey hit the ground, the only thing she could see was the sight of footsteps running away from her.

June saw the man on top of Pope, quickly punching him in his face from the side as she watched him stumble. Pope smacked the taser out his hand, not far enough he couldn't reach, but, June quickly got on his back, bringing him to the ground on top of her as she choked him.

"Pope!" June screamed, reaching for the taser but his shock got the best of him. Until, it was kicked towards her, looking over to see JJ and Kie. "Took you long enough!" June yelled, teasing the man in his side. He let out a scream of agony before Kiara rushed to help June up from under him.

"You good?" Kiara asked, only to be ignored as she jumped over the wall. "Go! Go!" They all hopped in the car, squeezing in once again.

"Who were those people?" Kiara shouted in panic, "Their crazy as shit! Let's get out of here now!"
June noticed the car behind them, tapping Pope in the shoulder, "Guys! He's following us!"

"Oh my god! This is a one way! This is a one way!" He shouted, stepping on the gas, "There's another car! Turn now!"

"Get out the road!" JJ shouted. "Fuck!" June yelped, smacking against the door. As the car started steaming, the only thing left to do was swerve once more into an alley way. "He said he fixed the carburetor!"

"You said he fixed it!" JJ continued, June not even waiting to jump out the car. "Just fucking go!" She yelled at the three, sprinting the other direction.

June panted as the others followed her, looking behind them too see him still on a chase. "Guys hurry!" She sped up, almost being hit by a mini bike, "Watch it ass—" June didn't get to finish her sentence before she locked eyes with a familiar blonde girl.

They all stared at each other in awe, before laughing loudly, "Get in! Get in!"

As they drove away June placed herself next to Sarah, not hesitating to throw her arms around the girl. "I thought you were fucking dead!" June whimpered, squeezing the life out of her, "I thought you were dead. Hi!" Sarah smiled, placing a kiss on her cheek.

Kiara watched the interaction, trying her best to ignore it as she hugged John B. They all celebrated in each others arm, laughing and a giggling mess.

They were all crammed in a one little bike before they weren't. The boat was filled with cheers and smiles. But, June wasn't just happy. She felt at home. A feeling she hasn't felt since the day she woke up in the hospital after her accident.

Sarah's heart warmed at the sight of the pretty girl who danced with JJ, laughing as she spun him around with a drink in her hand. She couldn't believe she was alive, she looked like an angel. The sun glistened her skin, as he spun her this time watching as the other pogues hyped them up.

She slowly move her hips downwards, bending her knees to the ground. She fell but, her laugh echoed around them, her dark hair falling from her face. "Oh shit!" Everything went back to normal at the sound of Kiara's voice.

Her eyes furrowed as she walked to help her up, her head falling on her chest in a hug. June locked eyes with Sarah, her smile slowly falling as she kept her arms wrapped around Kiara. She walked to take a seat next to Sarah, smiling as she held a huge watermelon in her hand.

"Want some?" Sarah offered, "Oh I would love some." June smirked, letting her mouth fall open teasingly. Sarah giggled, giving her a piece before noticing the familiar sound of seagulls.

Their head turned to the beach they went surfing every morning. The place Kiara and June officially started dating. It all came back. And as her eyes flickered between both of them, the overwhelming feeling of love once again consumed her.

"We're home." They announced. It was a feeling June hadn't felt in a long time. She smiled and wrapped her arms around Sarah, a giggling mess. Kiara wasn't fond of this, pushing past them and following after Pope.

Soon after the pogues sat in the hot tub, JJ making his way over to them with beers, "Whoo!" June smiled, turning up the radio.

They all danced smiles surrounding the area as they smiled, June and Kiara leaning against eachother as they passed the blunt. June danced with Pope, smiling as he hyped her up. She hadn't been this happy in months as she was spun around.

"Whoo!" June laughed now grabbing Kiara's hand as a song played. They held each others hands swaying their hips in a drunk manner, a giggling mess.

After a while once the party settled down, it left June, her blunt, and Sarah alone in the hot tub. "I would've died that night." Sarah swung her head towards her at the words. "What?"

"You told me to stay. I would've let myself die. I lived for you, I just wanted to say thank you." June hiccuped her own words, smiling at the girl with teary eyes. Sarah moved closer to her, "I thought you died. I thought I was gonna come back and you were gone. I'm happy your here." Sarah's embrace made her body shiver, squeezing her body.

"But, I can't keep holding you back." June nodded, knowing what she meant as she squeezed her tighter. "I love you, Sarah." June whimpered. "I love you more, June. You don't realize." Sarah squeezed her tighter, pulling back as she looked between her and her lips.

Sarah wanted nothing more than to kiss her, but she couldn't. She couldn't keep doing this to the girl. Sarah couldn't count how many times she left her waiting for more and now that she had her back the only thing she wanted to do was be with her.

But, Sarah had to think. She knew this wasn't right on both sides, more on her side. So she closed her eyes, her thumb wiping the tear that fell from June's eyes.

"I love you enough to let you go." June's eyes were now pleading, her body going numb as she reached to grab Sarah's hand that rested on her face. "Bye June."

June's breath hitched as she watched her get out the hot tub, watching the familiar love follow behind her. She couldn't even comprehend what was going on, but she knew that this was it.

She knew this might be the last page in Sarah and June's story book, because she couldn't live another second watching her walk away as she was doing now.

She should've seen it coming.

June joined the pogues after a few minutes, walking to stand next to John B as the group laughed. "Guys, did you invite somebody else?"
She crossed her arms.

"Wait, wait," John B placed an arm on JJ's shoulder listening to the sound of a running vehicle. "What's that noise?"

"Your chicken?" JJ said, "No it was a car." June nodded, "I hear it too."

June immediately shook her head, smacking a head over JJ's mouth as he mocked the chicken. June climbed onto the tree, wrapping her legs around it as she squeezed tightly.

She knew it was Rafe. And as she looked at his body from underneath the tree, she was frightened, and all she could do was look away. "Where the hell are you?" He whispered.

"Yo! Anything?" Rafe asked Barry, "No ain't shit in there, bro." He shook his head, walking towards him. "No, nothing?" He sighed, "Nope."

"They were obviously just here based off the smoke." Rafe pointed, his obvious frustration getting the best of him once again, "Yeah, yeah. Great observation, Boy Scout."

"I mean there not far." Rafe continued. June hit behind the tree, squeezing her fist closed in fear. "Smokey the bear! Look at you bro."

"They gotta be around here somewhere." They paused at the sight of the memorial tree, laughing slight, "P4L." Barry mocked. "So your sisters a pogue for like, huh, Rafe? Now who would've thought?"

June almost fell at Rafe's screaming, clenching onto the tree tighter as she lightly gasped, "All right, chill!"

The sound of multiple gunshots made tears fall from her eyes, hiding her face in her shoulder. "Hey! Whoa!" They began fighting, the constant arguing soon ceased as the car began to drive off.

June let out a sob she didn't know was being held in, and Sarah immediately looked back. She wanted so bad but to hug her. Comfort her and tell her he was never gonna hurt her again.

But it wasn't her place anymore.
