SILENCE. Silence was heard as only the heavy breathing in nerves around them were heard.

June felt like something was wrong. As she breathed, her body practically jolted, scared to move even the slightest bit.

Peterkin dropped to her knees infront of Ward, confusion filling their bodies. "Rafe?" That name made her head bolt up as she stared at his face, watching his smile grow wider at the sight of her fearful eyes.

"I saved you, Dad." Rafe widened his eyes staring at June's stomach as his hand that held the gun shook. Though, she furrowed her eyebrows at Ward's face as he turned to face her and that burning sensation in her stomach made her wince.

As Sarah ran to Peterkin, June could only hear her own slowed breaths whilst staring at the sight infront of her. Looking down at the blood on her hand— fear hit her.

Not sadness. Not worry. But fear.

The fear of dying was a very common thing. But, June hadn't had that fear until this moment as her bright red hands laid on her eyes. The way the warm liquid dripped off her hand terrified her.

A fear of realization.

Her breathe hitched loudly, making John B swing his head to look at the girl, "June?" June's eyes shot up to look at him, only for Sarah to look up at the silence, and her eyes knew exactly where to look.

They stared at each other in fear, watching as the teenage girls life flashed before her eyes. "Rafe, what did you do?" Ward hummed, standing up at the sight infront of him.

"I saved you." Was all he could say.

June tried to move but winced in pain, her knees buckling behind her, letting herself drop. "June!" John B cried out, running to catch her in his arms.

She cried at the pain of it all, a hand on her hip, "JB, JB, no," June shook her head as he roughly applied pressure, wincing in pain as her hand quickly squeezed his arm.

"It's okay. It's okay," He cried, shaking his head at his best friend.

It all hit him as he looked between the two. Was this all worth it? He was now in the arms of his wounded friend and a wounded Sheriff over gold. Gold. John B let a tear fall as Sarah rushed to them. "I'm so sorry, June."

"Junes? Ju?" Sarah put a hand on her face, grabbing her hand. "Talk to me," she nodded at her in approval, taking deep breaths for both herself and the girl.

Peterkin began panting, making their heads turn, as John B rushed to get the Walkie-Talkie, "Don't touch it! Give it to me, John."

June groaned, shaking her head as she cried, "Your okay. I've got you. I'm here."

Sarah was now crying lifting up her best friend, mentally and physically wincing at her squeals of pain, "No!" She groaned, the squeezing feeling in her stomach taking over as the girl was lifted.

"I'm so sorry." Sarah kissed her forehead, keeping a hand on her wound, one in her hand. "Sarah, am I gonna die? I'm gonna die?" June didn't know if she was asking a question or telling her as she squeezed her wrist,

"No! Your not gonna die. Please," Sarah cried, pressing another kiss to her forehead, completely ignoring the sight going on infront of her, completely focusing on her best friend.

As June felt a tight feeling in her body once more she let out a choked sob, "I don't wanna die! I have s-so much I wanna do." June muffled out, letting her words blur out in fear, "Your not going to die, Ju. Your gonna do everything you want, okay?" Sarah cried, wrapping her stomach in a piece of John B's shirt.

"It hurts so bad." She whined as the girl under her nodded, "I know. I'm gonna help you."

"You n-need to get out of here." She panted, reaching for her hand. "What? I am not leaving you here. Don't give up on me okay?"

June nodded her head, crying at the stabbing feeling under her chest, "I'm so scared. I don't wanna go."

Everything she said was true. She didn't wanna die. The feeling of a hot sensation in her body was like hell as she practically screeched at every movement. Her head pounded in her mind, and the only thing she gathered was that she was dying. Or maybe is gonna die.

And that she was in the arms of her best friend.

June tried to pick up a smile, looking up at her best friends, swallowing roughly at the pain, "Sarah?" She barely whispered, making her nod,

"I love you so much." June said.

No. Stop it," Sarah cried, holding her hand before jumping at the sound of John B, "Sarah, Peterkin," he cut himself off at the horrible state of his best friend, his heart dropping at all the blood,

"I love you. Your gonna be with John B and your gonna be happy. Don't think about me, you promise?" June stuck out her bloody pinky, trying to push through the pain in her movements, "I can't do that. Your on my mind all the time."

"Just promise me. One last time," she inched her pinky closer making Sarah let a loud cry out with a small smile as she interlocked her pinkies.

But, somehow as they locked pinkies she let other thoughts come to her, "JB," she held her other hand out, telling him to come closer, "Hi." He tried to smile, tears streaming down his face.

"Tell Kie. You have to," she was squeezing onto his arm for dear life as she breathed heavily, "Tell her how much you know I love her even though I don't act like it. Tell her that I'm sorry. And that there's a box for her under my bed." June nodded, tears streaming down her face.

"And tell JJ," she hitched her breathe, her arm now shaking, "my house key is under the rock by the porch. He can stay." She nodded,

"I will. I'll do all of it." He cried, placing a kiss to her bloody hand but he didn't care. "I'm so scared." She locked eyes with him saying that for the second time as she squinted her eyes shut,

"I know, Junie. Your gonna be okay. I promise. Just breathe. Call an ambulance!" He begged Ward, who was still arguing with his son as he pointed the gun towards the three, "John B, you need to go."

She let go of his hand and he felt as if a darkness pilled over him, shaking his head, "But, you," he looked at her body, and his hands, "Go. I'm not gonna say it again, you hear me?"

Even in the hands of life or death she was still the most stubborn person he knew, "Okay. I love you. I'll come back for you, okay?" He put a bloody hand on her cheek, making her sink into the touch. He placed a warm kiss on Sarah, before making a run for it.

"No! Where are you goin!" Rafe yelled, shooting into the distance as June's body jumped in shock, "Your okay."

Sarah sobbed uncontrollably as she held her bestfriend in her arms, wrapping her arms around her neck as she placed a kiss on her head, "I love you, Ju. You'll be okay."

June nodded, closing her eyes as she cried, squeezing Sarah in fear.

But, when Sarah heard June's breath fasten in panick, she shook her head, squeezing her tighter. Sarah couldn't help but regret everything.

It was too late.

"June?" Her muffled breathing was what made Sarah continue in relief, "I love you. I'm in love with you, okay? I know. I cannot lose you. I'm sorry!" She cried, whispering the sweet nothings in her ear.

June nodded her head, squeezing her eyes shut, "Your all I will ever need."

"So, just push for a few more minutes alright? Just a few more minutes and my dad will get you help. I'll get you help." Sarah told her, holding onto June.

"Get her out of here." Ward demanded and Sarah shook her head, "No! No, no, she needs a doctor!" Sarah swatted Rafe's hand away as he lifted her up in panic, screaming as she was being ripped away from the girl.

"Get off!"

"A few more minutes." June replayed and replayed in her head as she breathed heavily, eyes shutting slowly. Her mind couldn't help but retrace all the happy memories as she tried and tried to push.

But, she was slipping away.

And so was Kiara as the anxious feeling flared through her. Though, when she saw John B all bloody her mind went straight to June, "Where is she?" No answer. "Where is she!"

"She was shot. I don't know," John B shook his head, looking at the blood on his clothes and hands.

Kiara put a hand on her heart as she turned her head at the sound of sirens and an airplane, making her head shake, "Oh my god."

JJ felt his heart crumbling to pieces as he kicked the tree, "Fuck!" He screamed, a hand on his face. Pope stood their, no emotion as the news was brought to his attention.

At the sound of the helicopter, they all hid.

But, Kiara could hide how she felt at the moment.

A hand flew to her mouth as she cried her heart out, feeling an arm wrap around her figure as they brought her in by her waist. The thought of finishing this life without June just as worse as death.

Was she okay? What happened? Thoughts and thoughts. No matter what June was always gonna be there. Her aura lingered like a spirit, her warm unbearable conscience was like a magnet.

But, now they were losing everybody.
