THE JOURNEY BACK FROM THE COMMISSION WAS A ROUGH ONE, they didn't land gracefully in fact they all came crashing down into a magazine stand.

You think they would know how to land properly with minimal damage done, but when you put your faith into the hands of two people who haveย  strong dislike for each other, things can go sideways.

It also didn't help that just before the misfits teleported back that Five and Cleo had another bickering session, they know shocker.

So that brings up to this moment in time, where the misfits were now back at the hotel getting themselves up from the floor.

Though they couldn't even be civil while doing that, because Five tried to use both Lila and Gemini to get his own self up but of course they both pushed him off of them.

Finally finding their own balances they managed to dust themselves off and stand in one piece.

Making sure everything was okay around herself, Gemini let Cleo out of her head space since they were finished traveling via briefcase.

"Where have you been?" Viktor asked no in particular, as he watched the group take a stand.

"Facing my mortality, Viktor. I don't recommend it." Five answered briefly.

Diego made his way around to Lila who was still getting up off the floor.

"You had the briefcase? We've been looking for this!" Allison questioned her pubescent looking brother. As she kneeled down to the floor fumbling with the bag only to notice it got damaged on the way back from the group's travel.

"Well, look no further. That's the last one on Earth. Or was the last one?" He corrected himself now seeing the damage as well.

Out of frustration Allison threw the bag back down on the ground.

"She doesn't look too happy about her recent discovery." Cleo commented to Gemini who was standing right beside her watching the whole debacle.

"No she does not." Gemini replied.

"Yeah, that's toast." Five said, describing the now smoking bag.

The umbrella's then started dispersing into their own little pairs talking amongst themselves, as did Gemini and Cleo who were having a rather one sided conversation.

And that one sided conversation was Gemini telling Cleo who she should try and get along with Five for the sake of the collapsing of time.

Cleo's response to her double's outlandish proposal was a rather engrained glare and a very forceful eye roll, which Gemini had picked on because it was rather hard to miss.

"Hey, Chatty Cathy's quit the chitโ€“chat, alright. I'm calling a family meeting." Five announced.

"Where's Klaus?"

Luther shrugged at the question, not having a clue where his other brother could have walked off to.

Seeing Stanley walk with cleaning supplies across the hotel lobby, Diego eyed him and decided to see what was going on with his "son". So he left abruptly.

"Don't leave me with yourโ€“" Lila said, trying to stop Diego from leaving but she soon saw it was no use.

"Diegโ€“ Lost another. Great." Five called out.

"Spit it out, Five." Allison pushed, with a rather grim look upon her face.

"Oh, well, since you asked so nicely, sister mine, our little paradox brought forth a freaking kugelblitz."

"Not to be mistaken for ballroom blitz or cheese blintz." Gemini stated.

"What the hell is a kugelblitz?" Viktor questioned

Before Five could even get started on the subject of a kugelblitz, Cleo had the brightest idea.

"Why don't we all get a drink before Five starts explaining this nonsense, lord knows I'm way too sober for this." Cleo exclaimed.

Sure enough everyone agreed.

"You don't have to tell me twice." Allison commented, more so to herself but everyone still heard her, not that she cared any.

Pouring everyone's shots at the open bar, Five spreaded them out equally.

"So this kugelblitz, it's...?" Viktor started to ask.

"The end of everything. Every rock, every star, every atom sucked into a radiant black hole." Five elaborated.

"Randomly collapsing matter every moment in time across all existence till nothing's left." Lila added.

"Hate to say I told you so." Five said, raising a bottle in one hand.

"You love to say I told you so." Viktor stated matterโ€“ofโ€“factly, while downing his shot.

"You know, it's impressive. Whoever knocked off your mums hated you all enough to end the entire universe." Lila shared, thinking about everything.

"We don't know that." Viktor tried to defend.

"On the contrary, I think we do know that. If they hadn't killed your mother then this kugelblitz wouldn't be happening right now." Cleo stated.

"It doesn't matter who created the damn thing. We just have to kick it's ass." Allison said, focusing on that one detail.

"Oh really, are you and Diego gonna punch it in the kugel?" Luther sassed, referring back to what he heard from Diego about Allison's eventful night.

"The best plan is to go back in time and eliminate the paradox and destroy whatever it was that took out our mothers and stop the kugelblitz before it starts, but we can't do that. Briefcase is caput." Five put it simply.

"And why the hell can't you just jump us out of here?" Allison asked strikingly.

"Last time I tried that we all got trapped in time. Do you really want to risk that again?"

"Well, what's plan B?" Viktor asked, knowing his brother always had a backup plan.

But at the moment Five really didn't have a back up plan.

Join the party, Klaus and Diego finally meet back up with the family.

"Gimme that." Klaus begged, reaching for the bottle that was in Five's hand.

"What happened to you?" He asked, seeing a blooded whole in the middle of his brother's chest.

"Oh, just a speargun to the chest. No big deal." Klaus pushed aside.

"What did we miss?" Diego asked Lila.

"The universe is ending, and we're all going to die." Lila put it lightly.

Drinking some cheap whiskey Gemini felt a negative energy wave pass through her. And as she felt it pass through her Cleo also felt something off seeing as she was connected to Gemini.

"What the hell was that?" Diego asked, seeing people being absorbed by a blue wave.

"That was a kugel wave. Oh, it's getting worse." Five said.

"How long do we have?" Luther asked.

"At this rate of escalation, if you factor inโ€“"

"Nobody cares about the bloody factoring." Cleo stated.

"How long, Five?" Luther practically yelled.

"Four, maybe five days before the rest of existence is blitzed."

"We should've given them Harlan." Luther said.

"What about Harlan?" Diego asked.

Piquing Gemini and Cleo's interest, cause that name hadn't been dropped yet around them.

In a millisecond, both Luther and Viktor's eyes went to the sparrow's in the room knowing that no one had told them they lost 2 siblings.

Taking a breath of fresh air, Luther spoke. "The sparrow's said if we turn him over, we could end the fighting, and then work together to save the world. But if we didn'tโ€“"

"But we tried to make peace. Okay, and then the stepโ€“siblings from hell attacked, kidnapped you, and they tried to kill us. I mean come on we can't trust them โ€“ no offense to Gemini or Cleo." Viktor said, interrupting Luther.

"Nonโ€“taken." They both answered.

"Working together would be like trying to defuse a bomb by pouring gas on it. It's only going to make things burn down faster."

Listening to Viktor's reasoning, Gemini could feel something was off with it and it wasn't just because her siblings weren't the nicest human beings. No, she could feel some sort of tension in the room.

"But don't we need the big bad glowโ€“y thing in their basement?" Klaus asked.

Everyone beside the bar then turned to look in Klaus's direction.

"Klaus, do you know where the kugelblitz is?" Five questioned his brother.

"Oh, yeah. I saw it. When I went to visit Dad." He gasped dramatically, while pouring himself another drink.

"It's in the old storage room where Mom used to keep all her luggage." He elaborated further.

"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Diego expressed.

"I did. I told you!" Klaus stated.

"You say stupid shit all the time!" Diego argued.

"Of course. It appeared in the same place we did." Five realized as Klaus and Diego began to bicker with each other.

"I'm still not drunk enough for this." Cleo huffed, taking another shot.

"Neither am I." Gemini replied, putting her head down on the table.

Seeing Luther and Viktor retrieve from the family meeting, everybody else decided to follow them including Gemini and Cleo.

"Well, he's clearly got some kinda hold over you. Stop covering for him." Is what the rest of the family heard Luther say.

"Covering what?" Five asked, hearing the last end of the sentence.

Both Viktor and Luther stopped to look at Gemini and Cleo who were beside Five.

Knowing it was going to come out sooner or later, Luther decided to spill the beans.

"What's going on?"

"He didn't mean to hurt anyone." Viktor said, covering for her friend.

"Really? You mean, when he did that?" Luther stated, pointing to the deep cut on Viktor's cheek.

"Wait! Harlan did that?" Five asked Viktor.

"That's it, I'm gonna end him." Diego commented.

"Look, I know how it looks, but Harlan didn't ask for this. If we hadn't gone back to 1963, if I hadn't have saved himโ€“"

"He killed Jayme and Alphonso, not you. Luther said, not realizing he dropped the bomb sooner than he meant to.

"What the hell did you just say?" Both Gemini and Cleo questioned at the same time.

Causing the group of umbrella's to now look in their direction.

"He didn't meant to." Viktor said, trying to earn some sympathy for the doubles.

Cleo walked up to Viktor, and while everyone's attention was focused on her they all failed to see Gemini's eyes turn a bright orange as a single tear slid down her face.

"Where is he?" Cleo asked, in a tone that has never been heard of. It was cold and bitter and everyone could see the voidness set in her face.

"I can't tell you. You'll kill him." Viktor backed away.

"You're damn right I'll kill him, just think of it as an eye for an eye. A life for a life perhaps. So I'll ask you one more time before I lose my temper, Where is he?" Cleo stalked closer.

"I'm sorry." Viktor silently said.

Everyone watched as Cleo brought her hand into a tight fist.

As she was going to raise it up to strike, Gemini caught it.

"Let's go to the bar and sit down." She ordered, and Cleo could tell by her tone that they needed to sit down.

It also now didn't go unnoticed that Gemini's eyes were glowing orange.

One wrong move and everyone in the lobby could be dead, bodies drained of their energy while Cleo and Gemini would have been the last ones standing.

"You're right, let go calm down and have another drink?" Cleo suggested, as Gemini nodded her head yes.

The umbrella's parted, letting the two sparrows walk through.

โ˜‚๏ธŽ๏ธŽ

Gemini didn't let out a peep, she just tears ran down her face thinking over the events that had taken place in the matter of days.

Two days ago her sister and brother's were alive. Marcus was snatched by the kugel and Jayme and Alphonso were killed going up against the umbrella's.

But what sucked the most was the fact she was so busy spending her time with another family she hadn't even dropped by to say hello to hers.

The last time she saw Marcus was at dinner bargaining with Viktor. And the last time she saw Jayme and Alphonso was when they were fighting the umbrella academy in the sparrow's house.

And for that the one person Gemini could blame was herself.

Cleo watched as her creator cried, she could feel her emotions, the hate, the saddens and over all the loss.

Where Cleo acted out in anger, Gemini cried and blamed herself more than anyone else.

The only other time she had seen Gemini this sad was when Reginald made her train, but that was another story for another day. Training for Gemini wasn't like everyone elses.

But for right now, all she could do was watch her "sister" mourn the loss of their siblings while she had to be the strong one.

FLASHBACK

It was a rather sunny tuesday, as the sparrows were all in different rooms.

They all had just gotten different names, they weren't being called by their numbers anymore, well at least not by Grace and Pogo.

But there were two people still missing a name. Grace had given them a name but it just didn't sound right to them so they decided not to keep it.

Now in Jayme's room, her Gemini and Cleo sat on the twin size bed drawing up ideas. They were all at the age of 10 at the time.

"How about Claudia for you." Gemini asked, pointing to her red haired double.

Testing out the name Cleo shook her head. "That just doesn't suit me."

Jayme watched as both the girls went through the same mannerisms trying to figure out a name for themselves.

Recently she had been in astrological signs, she had books on all of them and even had her own tapestry hanging behind her headboard.

And like a seed, an idea planted in her head.

Hearing the quietness come from her sister, Gemini looked up to see Jayme with a big goofy grinning spread across her face.

Nudging Cleo's side she pointed in the direction of their crazed looking sister.

"Well, don't just sit there spit it out, why don't ya." Cleo huffed.

"I've figured out your name." She said, talking more specifically to the brown haired double.

"Fine, give it a go. What have you come up with that made you look like the grinch who stole christmas." Gemini shrugged.

"First off that was rude, secondly I don't know if you deserve to know now since you called me the grinch." Jayme pouted.

"All right, all right. I'm sorry for calling you the grinch." Gemini apologized.

"Hmmm, I don't know, apologizing isn't worth much these days. What else have you got for me?" Jayme teased as she questioned her sister.

Rolling her eyes, Gemini struck a deal.

"Fine, I'll do your chores for 2 weeks and I'll buy you donuts from smitty's today."

Thinking it over for a few seconds, Jayme nodded.

"The name I thought of for you is...."

Both doubles waited in anticipation.

"Gemini!" Jayme exclaimed.

"Gemini?" they both questioned, turning to face one another. Cleo looked at her creator.

"I like the sound of it, and I guess I can kind of see it? Why that name though, Gemini?" She asked Jayme.

"Because if you think about it you two are polar opposites, but you look exactly alike some would even call you twins. And you Gemini created her." Jayme said, pointing to Cleo.

"So you're basically saying, just because we are polar opposites but we look like twins, my name should be Gemini because I created her but she's my other half?" She questioned, seeing if she had got her answer right.

"Yep." Jayme nodded, as the same smile stayed present on her face. Back then Jayme was way more hopeful and happier.

The brunette thought it over for a minute, while mumbling the name over and over again getting a feel for it.

Soon she got quiet, looking her sister in the eye with a straight face she nodded letting a bright smile show.

She soon launched herself into her sister's arms hugging her and thanking her for finally coming up with a name that suited her and one she quite liked.

"Now it's my turn for a name. Got any bright ideas?" The fiery redhead asked.

"Sorry not at this time." Jayme said, letting her smile go down.

Seeing this Cleo shrugged. "Hey, it's okay, we'll figure it out later. At Least Gem over has got a name no need to worry about me." She said, trying to cheer her sister up.

Nodding, the girls turned to the tv that was on in their room and watched as A Cleopatra movie came on.

Watching the movie, Gemini saw how the queen acted and it reminded her of someone she just couldn't place who it was.

Now an hour in they watched as Cleopatra owned her place and never let anyone tell what she could and could not do.

And that's when it sparked in Gemini's head.

Letting out a gasp, she shot up from laying down on the bed disturbing Jayme and Cleo's peace.

"I've got it! I've got it!" She chanted.

"Yeah, you've got a loud and disturbing voice. What is it now?" The feisty redhead fired.

"I've got your name you arse." She sassed.

"Do you now?"

"I sure do."

"Well, then go on genius, tell me my new name."

"Your new name is Cleo."

"Like Cleopatra?"

"No like cleonline. Yes, like Cleopatra!" Gemini exclaimed.

"I thought you'd never guess." She smirked already thinking of the name for herself.

"So it's official we all have names now?" Jayme asked, looking around the room.

Nodding their heads all the girls smiled, bonding even more with each other.

It was one of the best days in their lives and it was one they were sure to never forget.

END OF FLASHBACK

โ˜‚๏ธŽ๏ธŽ

Gemini didn't even notice when the other umbrella's had come back to the bar, she was stuck in her own head reliving memories.

Her name now felt like a burden on its own.

The person, her sister who came up with it, was now dead. So now it felt like there was no purpose to it.

"Hey, it's time." Five said seeing his brother walking along the halls of the lobby.

"Where's Harlan?"

"He's gone." Viktor answered.

"You let him go didn't you." Luther assumed.

"Harlan's death is not gonna stop the kugelblitz. It's just gonna be another tragedy on a tragedy, and we can find another...I will find another way."

"Tell me, what gives you the right to make that decision for us?" Gemini asked.

Viktor looked at her. From being quiet for so long no expected her to speak up.

"He killed two of my siblings. They're nothing but collateral damage to you. But to me, to Cleo they were family by this time you must know what it feels like to lose someone, so how can you be so insensitive." She questioned, but while questioning Viktor her powers started to surge on their own causing her eyes to go from a muddy brown to a luminescent orange.

It was enough to feel other people's aura and energy, but since Gemini hadn't kept her own in check it started to take over.

"Right now, you are causing me a lot of pain. Fighting for a man who has wronged, and I will not stand for it." She said, as her head tilted to the side.

Just then an orange chi tentacle started making its way towards Viktor.

"You have exhausted my patients, and as you can see I've tried to be reasonable and cool off but it seems to not be working." Gemini said.

Suddenly Viktor started to feel weak, he stumbled over towards a hotel pillar and watched as his skin started to turn a pale gray.

"Gemini, you need to stop whatever you're doing." Five warned, seeing where this was going.

"I don't know, if he wants to protect Harlan at all cost then he should pay for his mistakes."

Cleo was all for revenge but she could see that not only was it taking a toll on Viktor but it was also taking a toll on Gemini as well.

She was grieving, but killing another person wouldn't help. It would only make her feel more guilty than she already does.

Walking to her, Cleo put her hands on Gemini's shoulder's.

"I know what he did Gem, but let's not do this right now."

Seeing Viktor start to collapse, Gemini let go and gave his energy back.

"Fine, not here." She agreed, and sat back down while fixing herself another drink.

It was definitely going to be a long day, and Cleo could tell future ones weren't going to look any better.

Gemini and Viktor are definitely going to be on the outs for a long while.
