Life sucks when unexpected events turn your whole world upside down and shatter your future goals. For instance, you find out three days before your freshman year that your mother finally had enough of your father's obsession with treasure hunting (all thanks to his even more treasure-obsessive friend) and decided it was time to move across the country to have a fresh start. Of course, your father refuses to go with and stays behind claiming that the treasure-hunting trio isn't crazy and they're close to nailing it on the head. To make matters worse, you don't even get to properly say goodbye to your closest friends—the two boys who've been your partners in crime and your rock since you were seven.

JOSEPHINE "JOSIE" WARREN would never forgive herself for leaving her best pals high and dry in the summer of 2018. It wasn't like her to leave without a "see you soon" (she didn't believe in goodbyes), a big hug that promised she would return, and a kiss on the cheek for a certain blonde boy who held her heart captive. Every day she thought what it would be like if she decided to stay with her father and continue to go on reckless adventures with her boys. Would she finally cover the boys' arms in friendship bracelets? Would they finally conquer the talent of cup flipping? Would she finally muster up the confidence to admit her not-so-secret feelings to the Maybank boy?

But alas, the world had favorites, and Josie wasn't one of them. So, instead of daydreaming about the what-ifs, she finally shut off her overthinking brain. She rebelled against her mother, got herself involved with the wrong crowd, and did something she never thought she was capable of. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and Josephine Warren became a completely different person than the known local sunshine.

It wasn't until a phone call from the Kildare County police that the Warren's fate would change again. So without another thought, Jacqueline and Josephine move back to the once beloved island.

Now, imagine the scene: it's the summer of 2020, John Booker Routledge and Jesse James Maybank, along with the new additions of Pope Heyward and Kiara Carrera, stand there stunned at seeing the infamous Warren girls moving their belongings back into the soul empty house a few acres down from the Chateau. Although it shouldn't have been a surprise to the Pogues, since the news of James Warren and Big John Routledge had been released, it was strange to see the ghosts of their past.

As Josie steps back into her old hometown, it's known that nothing is going to be the same as before. Her return isn't the joyous reunion she once hoped for and she knows that she won't fit in with her old friends.

But alas, she should've known better than to never say never, especially when it came to John Booker Routledge and his undying love for adventures.

heyyy 😜. did i pull this out of my ass? yes, yes i did. i actually came up with this plot like last summer, but it just wasn't what i really wanted. i still don't know exactly how i want this story to go LOL, but i have a few key ideas in mind. expect the writing to be absolute trash because i'm not talented like some of y'all out there!

if anyone is confused about the timeline: the warren girls leave the summer of 2018 (2 years before season 1). josie is about 14 and is about to start her freshman year of hs. their return is in summer of 2020 (season 1), josie is about 16 and it's before the start of her junior year. hopefully this makes sense 😭😭😭
