THIRD PERSON

"good evening, kageyama-san." Reo greets, bowing at a 90° angle.

"oh, you're here, honey. you staying for the night?" kageyama'a mother asks as she gives reo a hug.

"i'll be in my room. i'll wait for you there." tobio says towards reo as he made his way to his room.

"i'm just going to stay until nii-san arrives, kageyama-san. i figured that he had locked the door and i left the spare key for our house inside my room. he said to wait for him here instead of traveling to seijoh at this time to fetch the key. is it alright with you?" reo asks, rubbing the back of her head.

"absolutely! you're welcome here anytime, dear." kageyama's mother smiles.

"i'm going to prepare dinner. please do keep tobio company." reo smiles and nods her head to what the elder had requested and made her own way to her friend's room.

there, she found kageyama wearing his pajamas and is getting ready for bed.

reo sighs, looking over kageyama, but she never expected that their eyes will meet at a time like this.

"can you sit here and lean on the headboard for me, please?" kageyama asks, looking down.

his request froze reo. it was very uncommon for kageyama to ask such favor but without any other thoughts, reo did what she was told, feeling a bit of nervousness as her mind flies to the possible situations the male is going to do.

as kageyama had took his seat beside her, his hair above her chin, she had proved her assumptions incorrect as kageyama wrapped his arms around his female friend, snuggling closer, making reo smile as she runs his fingers through kageyama's soft, black locks.

"bad day?" reo asks, closing her eyes as she kept on playing with his hair, earning a nod from the latter as he hugged her tighter.

"i still feel the pain in my head, which caused a poor performance on the practice a while back." he explains, burrying his face on reo's neck as he found it calming.

though it did quite tickle reo, she didn't budge. she felt how the setter was exhausted as she can feel his chest rising and falling rapidly.

"dinner, you two!" both of them heard kageyama'a mother say. standing up, the two stared at each other and smiled genuinely before the male hugs the female.

"thank you." he smiles.

wrapping reo's hands around her friend, she gave him a nod before letting go.

without any words, reo planted a soft kiss on the latter's forehead before heading out of the room, leaving kageyama flustered with the action his childhood friend have done.

he breaks out into a smile with small tint of pink rising up onto his cheeks, sighing as he felt refreshed.

"tobio! come down!" his mother yells, which was the cue for kageyama to leave the room and join the two for dinner.

as he got to the dining room with a smile plastered on his face, he stared at reo who was also staring at him.

damn it. what is this feeling?
