OIKAWA REO

"watch me beat 'ya into a pulp in this game, 'samu!"

"shut up and just play, 'tsumu."

i sweat dropped as i heard the competitiveness of the two. the three of us have been playing for hours now and it's already past midnight. as for this game, i chose to step out of the trio to rest my eyes.

i never knew that the miya twins would be this fired up when it comes to arcade. plus points for atsumu who's being louder than usual.

the two only sat on the floor. i can tell why they prefer soft-carpeted floor instead of wooden stools. it's just too comfortable.

"still can't believe that you have a hidden arcade room, though." i smile, sitting behind the two as i watch their gameplay.

"it's a room where you can relieve 'yer stress by the means of playing some games. iy has been a habit, even to 'samu– hey! How dare you, 'ya rotten brother!" atsumu yells towards his twin as he was dying in the game.

"i'm the best. deal with it." osamu replies, letting his controller go.

"i'm gonna go make some onigiri. keep her company, 'tsumu." osamu adds before leaving the room.

"say, rei-chan, what's wrong?" atsumu asks and i replied with a simple but deadly glare.

"atsumu-san, do i have to repeat myself over and over again?" i ask, grinning.

"just atsumu or 'tsumu is fine. you call me with respect but you talk to me like i'm younger than you." he giggles, pausing the game.

"i don't know, but ever since i get to play with tobio-kun, i never saw that he would be interested in this kind of thing. volleyball is what's in his mind day by day. even i was shocked when 'ya told me that he's now courting a transferee girl from nekoma." he explains with a faint smile, wandering his eyes around.

"you're his childhood friend, right? did you not see this coming?" i heard from my back. it was osamu, bringing a tray of their onigiri with him.

despitw being startled, i gave him a small shake of the head to answer his question as he offers me to eat what he made, which i gladly accepted.

"maybe it's because of the fact that 'yer expecting him to like you back!" atsumu yells.

"idiot. stop making her feel worse." osamu interferes, smacking the back of his twin's head.

once again, i sweatdropped. these two sure do get along, huh?

"don't get me wrong, reo-chan. i don't intend to hurt 'ya more, but aren't i correct? didn't he at least drop some signs?" atsumu asks, munching on the food and so as osamu.

i sigh, staring at my hands.

"time by time whenever i make a move, i always take secret glances of his face and see him flattered. it's like i could hear his heartbeat. the way he blushes, the way he requests for something only couples could do, everything. it seems... very heartwarming. but i guess everything i saw was just a lie." i explain, munching on the food as well.

"well, you don't always have to believe what 'yer eyes see." osamu says, which left atsumu and i silent, wanting him to carry on.

"for me, according to your moves, you were too obvious. too obvious that even anyone can tell, but i guess this kageyama guy we're talking about at the moment is too naive for him to understand what he feels and what he sees. knowing that you two are friends since you were little, he might've thought you did such moves because of the bond. maybe he never took them romantically." he adds.

"look who's saying not to hurt reo-chan more." atsumu rolls his eyes towards his twin, and there they were again, arguing.

"maybe you're right." i mumble under my breath, which was enough for them to hear.

"thing here is, reo-chan, 'ya knew. 'ya knew that you had those feelings for him for a while, yet 'ya didn't tell him when you had the chance." atsumu butts in, smiling as i give him a nod.

"i'm telling you, reo, it's okay to be sad, especially with things like these, but it's part of life, y'know? we never get to dodge such situations. take it as a challenge and make sure you'll get through it." osamu says, ruffling his own hair.

"we believe in you." i widen my eyes as they said those words in unison and rolled my eyes afterwards.

"you practiced your lines, didn't you?" i ask.

"yeah." atsumu laughs.

"well, i'm heading out. thank you for today." i smile, standing up.

"woah woah woah, hold up! we aren't done with the game yet!" atsumu pouts, earning a punch from his twin.

"shut up. i volunteer to see you out." osamu says, smiling.

"thanks." i bow towards the two.

"cheer up, 'lil crow! the next time i see 'ya, you must be happy so we get to play volleyball, okay!?" atsumu asks with his loud voice, ruffling my hair.

"sure thing." i smile, holding up my hand for a high five, which he gladly returned.

i bid my goodbye to atsumu before osamu and i made our way out of the house.

in the middle of the long walk, of course, we talked about what was happening. it is pretty rare to hear such words from him when it comes to this, but it sure is meaningful.

"people can get very cocky when they have a companion. when it gets overboard, tell us right away." he says, opening the main gate, which made me smile.

"yeah, i'll make sure i will." i answer, making my way out.

"see you soon, 'lil crow." he smiles, ruffling me hair and waved his goodbye.

i bow once again before bidding my goodbye and i started to walk away.

as i got far from the miya residence, i sighed out of the blue and stared at the night sky.

"too naive, huh?"
