i sweatdrop at the scene nii-san, kindaichi and kunimi are making.

"please do bear with them, ree. oikawa loves to that everytime." iwaizumi-san says, sighing, which actually made me let a little chuckle out.

"you sound like an exhausted mother." i giggle, looking over the other members of their team.

"guess so. i mean, if i'm not here, who's going to look after these troublemakers?" he asks, shaking his head.

"i'd be willing to." i smile.

"oh, no. i don't want you to feel the pain in the butt i'm feeling everyday because of these jerks." he chuckles.

"hey, no flirting!" nii-san suddenly shouts towards us, startling iwaizumi-san and i.

"we're not flirting! shut up, crappykawa!" iwaizumi-san shouts back.

"why are you so mean to me, iwa-chan!?" nii-san fakes a cry as he approaches us.

"why flirt when you can just eat?" i ask, tilting my head to the side.

"see, reo-chan? this is why you don't know how to flirt. you focus too much on eating." nii-san says, shaking his head from side to side.

"at least i'm getting myself full." i pout, looking away.

it seemed awkward, being in a room with tall guys around. though nii-san and i are tall genetically, i still seemed to be shorter than all of them, except for their libero, wataru-san. it felt safe, though.

"alright, let's clean up and head home, everyone! great work today!" nii-san yells with a smile plastered on his face.

"i'm going to wait outside." i smile.

"okay, 'lil sis. we'll be quick." he smiles back towards me, planting a soft kiss onto my forehead.

"are you sure you're not in love with your sister?" i hear iwaizumi-san ask nii-san followed by his hysterical laugh.

"i'm not into family stroke!" nii-san replies, making everyone laugh, including me.

leaving the gymnasium, i inserted my hands on the pockets of my jogging pants as i felt the cold breeze of the night air hit my sensitive skin.

and as if on cue, my mind flew to the conversation i had with akira a few hours back.

FLASHBACK

"i heard the news." akira says with her eyebrows creased.

"it ain't surprising. you have ears, after all." i say, rolling my eyes.

"to be honest, i found comfort when i'm with tobio, but i can see that something's not right with him. you know what i mean." she says out of the blue, scratching the back of her head.

"what does that have to do with me? should i undo what i feel towards him for you to feel the satisfaction? should i stay away from him?." i ask, irritated.

"you're a good friend. Please be there for him." she says with a smile, making me sigh and just walk out of the scene.

END OF FLASHBACK

"tch. what an idiot." i mumble under my breath as a smile crept onto my face.

"what are you mumbling about? let's go home, reo-chan! i'm hungry!" i hear my brother whine all of a sudden.

"yeah, let's go."
