THIRD PERSON
"you really are an idiot, aren't you, kei?" aiko asks whilst stifling a giggle, her fingers intertwined with her boyfriend's.
"shut up. i'm at perfect shape that time. i think kuroo-san did that on purpose." he retorts back, making a 'tch' sound as the both of them walked down the busy streets of tokyo.
"stop accusing someone else for your stupidity, tsukishima-kun." aiko says, elbowing his side.
"just be glad that i only ended up with minor cuts near my eye. do you not want me to see?" he asks with an eyebrow raised towards the girl.
"you have another eye so that's good." she teases, only causing the male to wildly ruffle her hair, completely ruining its style.
with a sigh, tsukishima fished the pen out of his pocket, staring at it.
the lady noticed his action and heaved a deep breath, snatching the pen away from his hands with her eyebrows furrowed.
"i told you not to worry, right? i'll be okay." she says, tightening her grip onto the pen.
"tell me, aiko. something's going on, isn't it?" he asks, which took the female off guard, stopping dead on her tracks near an alleyway where small amout of people are to be seen.
"it's nothing important, alright?" she assures, trying to crack out a smile, but her lips remained with a frown.
"your expression says otherwise. come one, aiko. no secrets, remember?" tsukishima asks with a low tone, staring towards her beautiful orbs with pleading eyes.
the female fell silent with her head looking down, but as time passed by, she lifted her head with a smile plastered on her face.
it isn't fake. it's genuine. the genuine smile that aiko gives out everytime she's genuinely happy, but something felt off with the smile she gave. though the smile is genuine, tsukishima traced sorrow from it, making him realize that after all this time, there really is something up.
"this involves the pen being brittle, am i correct?" he asks, in the brink of crying, but he held them back for him to stay strong.
"kei, when the time comes that i'll have to leave, wait for me, okay?" are the words that left the female's mouth, still smiling genuinely, causing tsukishima's to widen his eyes and click his tounge.
"wha— aiko, what do you mean? you'll leave? when?"
she answers with a sigh while her eyes are closed, planting a peck on his lips whilst showing him the pen she has in her hands.
"wait for me, for wherever i'm off to, i'll always come back to your arms." she says, faintly tossing the pen behind tsukishima.
"what– hey! be careful with the pen! besides–" tsukishima yells whilst catching the pen, his back facing Aiko, but when he turned around to look at her again, she was already being engulfed with a bright light, slowly disappearing.
"take care while I'm gone, alright?"
as realization hit him, the pen fell out of his hands, giving out a small crack sound and soon, he fell onto his knees with the loads of tears he's been holding now streaming down his face.
"i-i don't want to let you go..."
