TSUKISHIMA KEI

"are you on a one year trip or what?" i ask with my eyebrow raised towards aiko as i notice her backpack which is much more bigger than her whole existence.

"oh, c'mon! it's my first time to freely travel with a loyal owner. let me have my time." she answers with a pout plastered on her face, not struggling with the heavy backpack on her back at all.

"you know, if you were taller, you'd be a great body builder." i roll my eyes.

"thanks!"

i felt sweat run down my cheek because her answer. does she really think that it was a compliment? and she said she possess incredible knowledge. tch.

"that's quite the baggage you got there, aiko! let me carry it!" the noisy second-year duo yells, earning smacks from our captain.

"it's too early for you two to shout." daichi-san says, sighing.

"but–"

"ah, it's alright. i can manage. thanks anyway, tanaka-senpai, nishinoya-senpai." aiko replies with a big grin, making the duo stand there in shock because of the sudden honorific as aiko settles her backpack in the back part of the bus before hopping in the vehicle.

"aiko-san, do you mind teaching me a few lessons?" i hear hinata ask as he hops in as well, making me sigh and crack a small smile.

"her purpose is being put to use, huh?" yamaguchi, who is beside me, asks in a low tone, not wanting to let any member hear our conversation.

"guess so." i answer, hopping in the bus.

"alright, everyone. the second summer training camp will occur as soon as the previous schools who participated last time, nekoma, ubugawa, fukurodani, shinzen, and us crows, have arrived at the destination. do your best out there." takeda-sensei says with a smile before settling himself down on thr driver's seat.

"off we go!" he adds, starting the engine of the bus before he accelerates it.

compared to the ride of the previous summer training camp, this ride seems a bit quieter, which i thank for, to be honest.

i heaved out a deep sigh, looking over to the back to where aiko was seated before i diverted my attention to the night lights by the road we're passing by.

"do you think aiko will be alright?" yamaguchi asks with a soft and gentle tone, making me look at him with my peripheral vision.

"i think so. she just needs to be much more aware of her surroundings, that's all. it's her fault if she reveals anything intriguing." i roll my eyes, plugging my headphones onto my phone as i pick a song for this scenario.

"what will you do if what she said happens?" he asks once again, making me fall into silence.

clicking my tounge, i attach my headphones onto my ears before rolling my eyes once again, not bothering to answer his question.

neither i don't know what answer is appropriate for that question.

FLASHBACK

"give us more details to know, idiot." i command with my arms crossed on my chest and an eyebrow raised, making aiko sigh and stare at us with seriousness filled in her eyes.

"the pen is hard to get rid of. you can try bulldozing, throwing, or even setting it on fire, however, it won't break. though, it can only break with a cause of an accident." she explains.

"a small crack is possible to occur, though one small crack will give the pen and i malfunctions since we're connected, yet it can be repaired so that shouldn't be a problem." she adds, sighing.

there's more?

"but remember, once the pen broke into two, i will disappear along with the pen."

but then again, i can't stop asking myself.
