"The other day your mother called me, asking me about the whole dating news," Jeongguk says, after a few minutes. "I told her that we would need more time with the marriage news, revealing it after dating for a few months seems better."

Minhee nods, pressing the horn when someone tries to change the lane.

Jeongguk wants to ask, why did she call me? Why did she already not know? Did you not talk to them about it? What did your father react like? But he keeps his lips sealed. The silence gets heavy when a verbal response doesn't come from Minhee.

Jeongguk can't bear it, his chest feels like it's going to burst and he lifts himself a little to take his AirPods case out of his pocket. He closes his eyes, resting his head back on the headrest, the tiredness of the day taking over him. He snaps his eyes open when he realises he's falling asleep and yawns.

He sets his eyes outside the window and finds himself drowned in thoughts again. Minhee is awfully quiet and unresponsive. Is the dinner thing still making her worry? But...but why do you care about her, Jeongguk?

He sighs, even music sometimes can't help him stop thinking. He unlocks his phone and pauses the song when he hears Minhee talking. Oh? He didn't hear her phone ring.

"Why would they want both of us to work together?"

When Minhee's phone vibrates in her pocket, she picks up the Bluetooth kept over the dashboard and accepts the call.

"I found out something about the Persona magazine. It—"

"Dahyun!" Minhee whisper-yells and then looks to her side where Jeongguk was sitting with his eyes closed. "I am with the daft, let's talk later.."

"Daft? Who, Eunwoo?"

"No!" Minhee glances back at the mentioned 'daft' and sighs, " The full-tilt diva!"

"Full tilt diva...you?"

Alright, Dahyun, say goodbye to your paycheck this month. "You ass!" Minhee looks at Jeongguk who is shifting back in his seat.

"Anyway, hear me out."

Minhee groans.

"Persona has offered the magazine cover to BE too." Minhee widens her eyes, slowly turning her head to look at Jeongguk again.

"What, why?"

"It makes sense because they have already entered into the European market—"

"But they still rank seven in Korea," Minhee says and side-glances at Jeongguk again. He's typing something on his phone and still has AirPods in his ears. Minhee is relieved that he cannot hear her, "What about Ms Ryu's company? It has ranked two for years now. She even expanded her market in the rest of the Asia Pacific."

"I don't know. Minhee, we need to be careful with this one. I think there's something fishy."

"Why would they want both of us to work together?"

"Maybe they plan to bring in the maximum audience and hence collaborations provide just that."

"Drop me here," Jeongguk says, making Minhee jump in her seat. She nods and stops the car at the side of the road. He gets out of the car, turns around and waves at Minhee on the back.

"Dahyun?" Minhee says when the other line goes completely silent.

"What the hell? You were with Jeongguk this whole time!"

"I tried telling you that I am with him!"

"And you couldn't find a better nickname for him than daft and full-tilt diva?"

Minhee starts driving again back to her hotel, "Hey! Those are very accurate! What else would I call him now?"

"Eren Yeager if I am being subtle about it."

"Hang up before you want this to be the last day of our friendship." Minhee deadpans. Dahyun laughs and hangs up, leaving Minhee to scoff and murmur to herself.

"Eren Yeager? What is wrong with her? Is she my secretary or his?"
