42-Pretty

(y/n)'s POV
The man to Obi-Wans left burst open a door; revealing Maul who was sitting up on a throne with Satine kneeling to his left. She glanced up with tears in her eyes when she saw her long lost love. "Kenobi, how I've waited so long for this." Maul spoke in a threatening tone. "I've dreamt of gutting you the way I gutted your former master, what was his name again?" He smiled evilly; taunting him.

I was feeling it again, that strange feeling like I was being pulled to him. I shook it away and focused on keeping my signature hidden.

My Masters demeanor went dark, it almost made me afraid. He didn't say anything in response but his rage was boiling up inside of him as he glared at Maul.

"So much anger in you Kenobi, that's good, you should use it," He stood up and walked over to him, my grip on him tightened, I was starting to hate this plan more and more. "You might even be able to finish the job this time." He got into his face and I felt myself begin to panic, if he made a move to kill my master I was gonna have to protect him, I would blow my cover, I didn't care. Maul eyed him more and brought his hand up and began to squeeze his face. My master grunted in pain, "And did I not tell you to bring that girl with you?" He tilted his head his yellow eyes burning into Obi-Wans, his eyes were filled with so much hatred and rage.

Obi-Wan pulled his head back to get out of his grip before glaring back at Maul, "Why did she need to be here, your quarrel is with me. Have your people let me go so we can settle this right here and now." My master spat at him and Maul chuckled in return.

He turned and walked back to his throne. He stood a foot in front of it and used the force to lift up Satine. She was gasping for air as the force held her up by her throat. "You should have chosen the dark side, Master Jedi, your emotions betray you, your fear and yes... your anger." He continued to step forward, Satine floating behind him, "Let your anger deepen your hatred."

"Don't listen to him Obi-" Satine choked.

"Quiet!" Another Dathomirian yelled at her. I didn't even notice him standing back by the throne. He looked different from Maul, he wasn't red but a yellow green color and he looked much taller and bulkier.

"It's alright." Maul put a hand up to him.

"Only the weak embrace the dark side." Obi-Wan growled. Ow okay, thanks Obi-Wan. His eyes shifted to me momentarily with an apologetic look before turning back to Maul, he must have heard my thoughts.

"It is more powerful than you know." Maul tightened his grip on Satine. It was taking a lot not to save her right now. I couldn't watch this innocent woman die and I couldn't allow Obi-Wan to watch the woman he loves die.

"And those who oppose it are more powerful than you'll ever be." Obi-Wan sneered, his words filled with confidence. Maul didn't like that as he began to growl, stepping closer to us.

"I've spent years thinking of this moment, and now," his head turned as he glanced back at Satine, "The perfect tool for my vengeance is right in front of us." He took a few steps backwards holding the handle of a weapon in his hand, "I never planned on killing you but I will make you share my pain, Kenobi." He ignited it revealing a black blade and Obi-Wans face shifted from anger to horror. I knew now that I had to do something. I dropped Obi-Wans arm quickly and pulled out my lightsabers.

Satine was almost to Maul when I forced pushed her back so she was out of his clutches. She flew and hit the back wall. Obi-Wan elbowed the man who had ahold of his arm and took his saber back from him. Maul turned to us in anger, "No!" He shouted and a wave of energy tossed us back a few feet knocking the helmet off of me. I groaned as I tried to sit up and I felt a foot on my chest push me back down, "It appears you did show up." He growled down to me as he stepped harder against the chest plate. "I've seen you in my visions, you have quite an interesting future ahead of you." He chuckled darkly.

Obi-Wan came from my left and distracted Maul with a duel, the heavy foot was now off of me so I could stand up. "You're mine!" I heard a deep voice and saw the bigger Dathomirian charge at me. I called my lightsabers back to my hands and began to fight this thing, he was strong but not as skilled as his brother. I jumped up and kicked him in his chest causing him to fall onto his back. I looked around the room for Satine and saw her hiding by the throne, staying out of sight. Good as long as she stayed there I can focus here. The man started to get up but I kicked him back down and held one of my sabers to his neck.

"Don't get up." I threatened and his eyes stayed glued on the white blade. I glanced around the room. No death watch? I could have sworn there were at least three of them in here. They must have cowered away when the fighting started, I heard they lacked loyalty.

"Let my brother go!" Maul shouted from the other end of the room. He had Obi-Wan on his knees, blood covering his face with the black blade near his neck.

"You first!" I shouted back, inching my blade closer to his brother. Maul growled and kicked Obi-Wan away from him. He got up and wiped the blood from his face before rushing to Satine. I needed to distract Maul so he could get her out of here. I lifted my foot and kicked the Dathomirian in the face, knocking him unconscious. Maul glared at me angrily, "Dont want you having any distractions." I smiled at him innocently.

Get her out of here.  I sent a message to Obi-Wan.

O; I'm not leaving you here with him.

Y/N; I'll be fine just go, I'm right behind you.

O; Anakin will kill me.

Y/N; And Maul will kill Satine if you don't go now.

I heard him sigh in defeat and I stepped closer to Maul, keeping his eyes on me. "Let's try this again shall we?" I advanced towards him and he deflected my attacks with his single blade. I almost forgot how skilled he was, the best I've ever fought. Besides Anakin. I'm not even sure who would win between the two actually.

He jumped back away from me with a smile, "You feel it don't you?" He twisted the blade in his hand as he walked around me in circles. I glanced over to see Obi-Wan and Satine gone, I don't even think he's noticed. Now I needed to figure out a way for me to get out of here.

"Feel what?" I questioned, twisting my body to keep my eyes locked on him.

"The pull to the dark side," He started inching closer to me, "You feel it stronger when I'm around. You want to give in, I know you do." He charged towards me and I deflected it by having my weapons in an x formation, his blade pushing against me as it inched closer to my face. "I can tell you've never fully embraced the dark side. You should, you have so much potential."

"I'll never go back." I pushed up with all my strength causing him to stumble backwards.

He chuckled as he pointed the black blade towards me, "If that's true then I would be careful with who I trust if I were you." He came at me and I diverted his attack, sparks flying near our faces as his yellow eyes glared into mine, "Those around you can be very deceiving."

I scrunched my face in confusion. What? Who could he possibly be talking about? I was distracted by my thoughts and I felt him force push me to the floor knocking my weapons out of my hand. He stood over me and held the black blade to my throat. I looked up to him in fear. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna kill you..." he trailed off as he tilted his head, "I just realized I don't know your name."

"(y/n)." I mumbled, my breathing was heavy from our battle.

"Pretty," he mumbled, "I'm not going to kill you yet, I plan to have you watch as I kill the Duchess and then your master." He smiled menacingly.

I smiled up at him, "That might be a problem."

His smile faltered and he took a step back; turning his head to look around the room. That's when he noticed that they were no longer here. I could feel his rage boil inside of him and I took this opportunity to call my lightsabers back to me.

Once they were in my grasp, Iused all the energy I had to force push him across the room. Maul flew backwards with a twist, landing near his still unconscious brother.

I turned on my feet and ran out of the room to meet Obi-Wan at the ship, he better have it ready because I knew Maul would be on my heel any minute now. "Kenobi!" I heard him scream and I picked up my pace, the ship finally came into view and I saw my Master standing near the ramp anxiously waiting for me. He sighed with relief when he saw me.

"Start the ship!" I shouted and I saw him run inside, I heard the engines turn on and the ship began to lift off the ground. I jumped as high as I could and landed on the ramp with ease. I turned around and saw Maul standing on the ground glaring up at us with an expression filled with rage. I smiled down at him and gave him Anakin's signature two finger salute as the ramp closed and we took off into space.

"Are you okay?" I heard Obi-Wan asked.

"Yeah I'm-" I turned to face him, only to see that he wasn't actually talking to me, but to Satine.

"I'm okay," She responded with a soft smile, her eyes were lit up with adoration when she gazed upon his features, "I told you not to come Obi." She sighed with a head shake.

"Did you really think I'd listen?" He half-smiled, and caressed her cheek gently; admiring her beauty.

"But you could have died." She glared at him sternly.

"Satine, it was risk I had to take; I couldn't let anything happen to you." His face inched closer to hers and his eyes shifted to her lips. And before I had the chance to look away; he kissed her.

"Gross." I mumbled, it was like watching my dad kiss someone. It's cute/'s I'm happy for him, but I don't want to see it. I quickly turned my head away as I scrunched my face in disgust.

"Oh this is gross?" Obi-Wan scolded, "Shall we talk about the storage closet incident last week?" His brows lifted with judgement. My eyes went wide and my cheeks flushed, I was really hoping he'd never bring that up again. I already wanted to die of embarrassment the moment it happened.

I don't want to give details, but let's just say that Anakin and I may have, you know, in the storage closet. We were trying to spice things up a little with the excitement of a public space. Instead we almost gave Obi-Wan permanent retinal damage.

I scowled in embarrassment, "No let's not, ever again." I walked over to the co-pilot seat to get away from them so they could have their moment. I sighed as I leaned in the chair, awaiting our arrival to Coruscant. I couldn't get Mauls words out of my head..

I'd be careful with who I trust if I were you.

Those around you can be very deceiving.

Was he telling the truth or was he just trying to get inside of my head?

Anakin's POV
I leaned against the holotable in frustration, I had no idea where to even begin to look for Ahsoka. I had a feeling she was on that ship I saw taking off from Felucia. Someone must have taken her but who, where, and why?

I felt a presence come into the room but I didn't look up to see who it was. "She will return." I recognized the voice to be Master Plo's.

"How can you know this?" I sighed with annoyance.

"She is strong and she has you as her master, I trust your training will keep her alive. You should have trust in her as well. She did spend quite some time away from the temple so you know she knows how to handle herself." He advised me and even though I was a little mad at him for the way he spoke to me on Felucia, I felt his words bring me hope. I was just so stressed with the idea of (y/n) and Obi-Wan on a suicide mission and now my Padawan is gone. I was afraid of losing all of them.

"Thank you Master Plo" I finally turned my head to look at him.

"I do come to bring you good news though. Maybe this will ease some of your frustration." He opened his hand to reveal a hologram of Obi-Wan.

"Both (y/n) and I have successfully saved the Duchess. Maul unfortunately is still alive, we weren't able to kill or apprehend him but all that matters is all three of us made it out with our lives. We are heading back Coruscant now and should arrive soon." The transmission ended and I felt a huge wave of relief wash over me. They were both safe and alive.

"I'm glad to hear they were successful." I smiled with a sense of excitement that my wife was gonna be home soon.

"Come, let's get dinner, I haven't seen you eat since we returned." Plo gestured for me leave with him and as if on queue my stomach growled. I was so focused on everything else I'd  been neglecting myself.

I nodded and followed him out of the door only to run into Lida in the hallway.

"Hey Anakin how are you?" She grinned up at me, I knew it was fake, she hated me. I could feel it.

"I was fine." I gave her a sarcastic smile.

Her grin never fell as she continued, "I heard your padawan is missing, such a shame. Lovely girl." She tilted her head and I glared at her. She was trying to hide it but she was taunting me.

"Shame about Rose too isn't it?" I fired back. I didn't know for sure if she had anything to do with Rose, but it seemed odd that the same day I go to her asking questions about Lida is the same day she disappears. It could be a coincidence, but I'm not one to take chances.

Her smile fell slightly and I heard Plo clear his throat causing our harsh eye contact to break. "I have things to attend to." She pushed past me hitting my shoulder.

"Nice chatting with you!" I shouted to her as she walked away.

Reys POV
I walked away from him and rolled my eyes as he shouted something to me.

I wanted to ruin him, I even paid those hunters handsomely to kidnap his pathetic padawan. She might even be dead already, one could only hope. That would be one less pair of eyes that are constantly on me.

I heard that Maul was currently in Mandalore. I plan to take time off and go to find him, I can only hope he is still there when I arrive.

(a/n vote and leave me comments ♥️ I love to hear what your thoughts are! What did you think of my decision to keep Satine alive? I wanted to keep her alive since the beginning, Obi deserves happiness too 🥺)
