(y/n)'s POV
I woke up from my nap and stretched my arms as I sat up. I looked out the window and the sun was beginning to set. "I slept the whole day?" I whispered to myself. I stepped of the bed and headed to the dining hall to look for Padme and Anakin. They weren't there, so I checked the living room and still had no luck.

Where the hell are they?

I walked around the house and they were still nowhere in sight. I couldn't even find the droids. I sighed, they were probably at the meadows, I heard Padmè talking about them on the ship and how it was her favorite place.

I decided not to go after them, I don't even know where the meadows were so I would just get myself lost. I sat on the couch in the living room and began to meditate as Yoda instructed that I should.after a few minutes I felt a presence enter the room.

"Would you care for some water (y/n)?" I opened my eyes to see the loving smile of Anna as she held a glass of water to me.

I returned her smile and grabbed it, "Thank you Anna." I drank the water and I hadn't realized how thirsty I was, I drank the whole glass in seconds and she chuckled.

"Are you feeling any better? Would you like more?" She took the glass from my hand and I declined her offer.

"No thank you, but I do feel much better now that I've had some rest."I assured her.

"Good, I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." She bowed and I nodded my head as a thank you.

I continued to meditate until I started to feel dizzy and nauseous. I placed my hand on my head as it started to pound. I got up from the couch and almost tripped over the coffee table. "What's happening?" I spoke to myself as I slowly made my way down the hallway to the bathroom, clutching to the wall so I wouldn't fall over.

I reached for the door handle and pushed the door open, closing it behind me. I fell to the toilet and wanted to vomit but nothing came out. I felt horrible almost like I'd been... poisoned? My eyes widened with realization. The water, I knew it tasted a little different than it should but I was so thirsty I didn't care. Why would Anna want to poison me?

I heard a groan from behind me and in the corner there was Anna unconscious. "Anna!" I called to her weakly and I crawled next to her and checked her pulse. It was weak but it was still there.

If she was in here then who was I talking to in the living room? 

Just then the door opened to reveal a figure who has taken Anna's appearance. It smiled down at me, "Not feeling well?" It chuckled.

"What did you do to me?" I growled as I tried to stand up but my body betrayed me and I slumped back down.

"Nothing too serious, you're worth more alive than dead." It walked to me up to me and placed their hand on my chin, "The King of Byss has put an extremely high bounty on your pretty little head and he wants you alive."

My eyes widened, no.. I refuse to go back there, to him. I began to struggle to get up and to use the force against this thing but it feels like the more time passes, the weaker I get.

"Sorry about this." It raised its fist and knocking me unconscious.

Anakin's POV
Padmè and I just finished getting (y/n)'s surprise ready and I was beyond excited for this and nervous.

"She's gonna love it Ani." My friend assured me and I nodded knowing she was right.

We stepped into the house from the backyard door which led straight into the living room and saw (y/n) lying unconscious on the bed and Anna standing over her. She turned to face us when we walked in and gave us a smile, "The poor girl isn't feeling too well."

I quickly went to her side and placed my hand on her forehead to check for a fever, she had a slight one and was a little sweaty. I gently caressed her face as she slept.

"Would you be a dear and go bring me some towels from the washroom," I nodded and headed towards the bathroom, "Not the first one!" She yelled causing me to pause, "The washroom at the very end of the hall." I nodded again and did as she told me.

I reached the bathroom and I couldn't find any towels. That's odd, why would she send me here if there aren't any? I checked around everywhere, in the cupboards and in the small closet next to it. I sighed maybe she got it mixed up with the other bathroom, she is old. So I decided to check the first bathroom.

I opened the door and immediately noticed Anna lying on the floor unconscious. What the hell? I ran to her and felt her pulse and sighed with relief when I realized she was alive.

If this is Anna? Then who's with the girls? I stood up igniting my weapon and ran back to the living room, only to find it empty. I began to panic and checked the backyard and they weren't there either.

"Ani!" I heard my name being yelled from the front of the house and I ran there to see a changeling tossing (y/n) into the backseat of a speeder. They held Padme at gun point, urging her to get on the vehicle.

"Stop!" I shouted running to them with my weapon in hand and ready. They shot a few shots at me and I dodge them, I didn't want to risk deflecting them and hitting my girl or Padmè. They quickly started the speeder and tried to take off but I reached out my hand and stopped the speeder with the force. The driver was struggling and pressing on the acceleration.

I was struggling to hold them and I could feel them slipping. I couldn't let them be taken, I couldn't lose my friend, and I couldn't lose the love of my life. I know I have a tracker on her but who knows what they plan to do to them. I could be too late.

I closed my eyes tapped into those emotions and I could hear the speeder getting louder. I opened my eyes and saw I was pulling it to me, the driver went to pick up their weapon to shoot at me but Padme reached it before they did and hit them over the head and they fell unconscious against the wheel.

I put my hand down and caught my breathe. That took a lot out of me. The speeder stayed in the same position and Padme reached over and turned it off before turning around to check on (y/n)'s condition. "She's fine." She assured me and hopped out of the speeder.

"What on earth is happening out here?" I heard 3PO and the other droids come from behind me and I rolled my eyes.

"A little late guys." I walked over to the speeder and pulled (y/n) out and carried her bridal style into the house while Padme kept a blaster pointed to the changeling in case they woke up and tried to run.

I set her on the couch and placed a kiss on her forehead. "I got you baby."

After bringing the changeling inside I tied him to a chair and slapped him, "Wake up." I spat.

He slowly opened his eyes and met mine. He realized he was tied up and tried wiggling free. Padmè chuckled, "Yeah like that's gonna work." And the alien shot her a glare.

"I'm only going to ask you this once," I spoke low and menacingly as I got closer to his face, "What did you give her?" I pointed to (y/n) on the couch.

He didn't answer, only glared at me. Without a word of my own, I ignited my weapon and placed it near his neck. His eyes widened as he looked at the blue light. "A little sedative, nothing dangerous. I'm supposed to deliver her alive." I became angry at his words.

"Deliver her to who?" I spoke through my teeth as I put the weapon closer to his neck.

"T-The king of Byss." He stuttered in fear.

Damon Scholath, I scoffed. I knew I should have killed him.

"How did you find us?" I asked.

"I followed you from Coruscant." He admitted.

"Anybody else know where we are?"

"No, I work alone and I made sure no one else followed so I wouldn't have to share the bounty."

"Why were you taking me?" Padmè questioned and the alien ignored her.

"Answer her." I demanded.

"Viceroy Gunray placed a bounty on your head as well. Although he didn't care if you were dead or alive. I didn't kill you cause I may be a lot of things but I'm not a killer." He defended himself and I rolled my eyes.

"You might as well be, what did you think was gonna happen when you delivered them?" I spat, "I should kill you right now." I pressed the blade so close it started to burn the aliens skin and it whimpered in pain.

"Anakin stop." I heard her angelic voice, I turned to see (y/n) awake and she was looking at me with pleading eyes. Padmè was eyeing me with the same look.

I instantly pulled my weapon back and put it away. "I'm sorry." I whispered to them. I stepped away from the changeling and knelt next to (y/n), I placed a hand on her cheek. "Are you feeling okay?" She nodded and I placed a kiss on her cheek. "I'll go inform the council what we've learned."

I left the room a little ashamed of myself that they witnessed that. I pulled out my holopad and connected to Obi-Wan. "Hello Anakin, trip going well?"

I sighed and told him everything I've learned from the changeling.

"Oh that's not good. I'll inform the council on what they wish to do next." He stroked his beard, "Do you believe you should relocate?"

I shook my head, "I don't think so. It seems he acted alone and he claimed no other beings followed us. But to be sure I'm going to keep watch throughout the night."

"Alright, call me if anything happens. I'm going to talk to Padmé's parents and have them send over someone trusted to take your prisoner."  He informed me.

"Thank you Obi-Wan, may the force be with you." I nodded to my former master.

"And to you my friend." He nodded back before ending the call.

About and hour later a man came to take away the changeling. I sat on the couch with (y/n) in my arms as I brushed my fingers through her hair. "I'm sorry about earlier."

"It's okay," she snuggled into my chest and my heart melted at the gesture. I loved when she would pull herself closer to me.

"Do you feel okay to walk?" I asked and she looked up at me.

"Yeah but I'd rather not, I'm comfy." She slightly whined and I chuckled.

I stood up and held my hand out, "Come on there's something I want to show you."

She gave in and grabbed my hand, "I'll
Be back Padmè!" I shouted to her, she should be fine. I'll only be gone a minute, I left the blaster with her just in case, and the droids are with her.

I pulled (y/n) out of the back door and led her down a small path, "Close your eyes." I instructed her and she did letting out a small chuckle.

"Please don't let me trip or walk into anything."

"I won't." I smiled as I led her into the garden. Padme found an old rounded arch and we spent hours adding the flowers to it to make it more beautiful.  Not just any flowers, the one I placed behind her ear that day in the garden. I had petals of flowers leading up to the arch as well. There were also fireflies and candles so it was creating a beautiful lighting.

I stopped her right at the flowers, "You can open your eyes now." I told her and I watched as her beautiful eyes fluttered open. She gasped when she saw everything.

"Oh my god this is so beautiful," she whispered, "Those flowers, those are the same ones from the temple gardens aren't they?" She smiled up at me.

"Glad to see you remembered." I chuckled.

"Of course I remember. That was the moment I realized I wasn't going to kill you." She teased although I knew she was probably telling the truth.

"Walk to the arch, there's something for you in front of it." I told her as I gestured towards the small box on the ground.

She looked at me nervously before walking forward. I followed silently behind her and when she reached it she picked it up and opened it.

"It's beautiful," I could hear her voice crack like she was beginning to cry. Inside the box was a ring made come the same purple crystal as her necklace.

"(y/n)," I got on one knee and she turned to face me and she had tears falling down her cheeks. "From the moment I saw you I knew I loved you. I have never met anyone as amazing or as beautiful as you. Everyday has been like a dream, we may have our ups and downs but you are the only person that keeps me feeling alive and I wouldn't want to be with anyone else. You make every star shine brighter and everyday worth living. Would you make me the happiest Jedi in the galaxy and be my wife?" As soon as I finished I realized I had been crying as well.

She knelt down so she was on my level and she held my hand and placed the ring in my palm. For a moment I thought she was rejecting me but then she lifted her ring finger so I could place it on her finger myself and with a tear filled smile she said, "I would love nothing more than to have you as my husband."

I pulled her into an embraced and crashed my lips to hers. This was the happiest moment of my life. I don't care if the council finds out about us, this girl is the only thing in my life that I need to survive.

(a/n okay so I rewrote this today SO many times. I wasn't sure how I wanted the proposal to go and tbh I still feel like I could have made it better idk I worry too much! Please let me know what you think about it♥️🥺)
