morning, the sun wasn't even up Elenor was awoken by no other than Hank. The man threw her door open, making the ginger haired woman sat up immediately.
Her head snapped towards the brunette man and her tired gaze lingered on man, who stood now in her door.
"Raven was here. I screwed up." The man stared at her in panic and Elenor gave him a disbeliving look before she sighed heavily, "Oh what did you do, Hank?"
Without waiting for an answer she quickly jumped out of her bed and followed after Hank, down into the large underground room were Cerebro was standing.
The woman's eyes widened as she realized that the machine Hank had once built had been completely destroyed.
The ginger clapped her right hand over her mouth in shock as suddenly Logan and Charles joined her in the round, gigantic door frame.
Hank lifted the detsroyed helmet up as he eyed it and turned around to them, "We can't track her now."
"She cut her ties", Charles stated sadly as he eyed the broke machine. The lights flickered above their head and there was a moment of silence before Hank spoke up again.
"Hey, I saw in the news last night there's going to be a announcement in Washington this afternoon about a new protocol fot mutants."
The other three looked at him sceptical but Hank dashed quickly past the group before he led them into his work room.
The man opened the wooden door, revealing a couple of machines, "I set the system I designed to record about any new about Paris over the three networks and PBS."
"All three? Wow", Logan stated as he looked at the monitors right infront of him. Hank sat down on a chair and shrugged. "Yeah, and PBS. Look what I found", he spun towards a TV and chanched the channel, making a brunette man appear on the monitor.
"Tomorrow, in front of the White House, the President will make his announcement. He will be joined by Secretary of Defense Laird and has even sought the help of renowed scientist Bolivar Trask, his special advisor to combat this mutant issue."
Hank stopped the video before he turned back to the others, "Raven dosen't realize that if she kills Trask at an event like that, with the whole world watching-", Charles spoke up first as he looked at the others in worry.
"Then I came a log way for nothing", Logan stated as he sighed deeply.
"And there's more bad news. I saw in a report they found traces of her blood in Paris. For all we know, they already have her DNA", Hank informed the others as Elenor looked to the ground and rubbed her hands over her face. "Which is all they'd need."
"To create the Sentimels of the future". Logan finished her scentence as silence fell over them.
"There's a theroy in quantum physics that time is immutable. It's like a river. You can throw a pebble into it and create a ripple, but the current always correct itself", Hank explained to the others as he shrugged and shook his head.
"No matter what you do, the river just keeps flowing in the same direction", he finsished as he looked at Logan who rolled with his eyes, "What are you trying to say?"
"What I'm saying is, what if the war is inevitable? What if she's meant to kill Trask? What if this is just simply who she is?", Hank continued as he looked over at Charles, who now spoke up again. "Just because someone stummbles, loses their way dosen't mean they're lost forever."
Logan's gaze fell onto the man who sighed now deeply, "No, I don't belive that theory, Hank. And I cannot belive that is who she is. Ready the plane. We're going to Washington."
The group didn't waste much time and very soonly Elenor was sitting in the plane, next to Charles and on Logan's opposite.
There was a comfortable silence between the three until Logan spoke up. "You're all right?", Logan questioned Charles, who had his hand placed on his upper leg. "Getting there."
Elenor eyed Charles, who gazed out of the window as Logan sighed loudly, "Whatever happens today, I need you to promise me something. You've looked into my mind and seen a lot of bad— but you've seen the good, too."
The man paused for a small moment, "The X-Men. Promise me you'll find us. Use your power, bring us together. Guide us. Lead us. Storm, Scott, Jean. Remember those names. There are so many of us. We will need you, Professor."
Charles eyed Logan a bit surprised, before he answered him with a serious face expression, "I'll do my best."
Logan leaned forward as he didn't broke their eye contact, "You're best is enough." Charles sighed deeply before Logan nodded his head at the man, "Trust me."
Elenor's gaze still laid on Charles before she turned towards the window she was sitting next to.

arrived in Washington, there wasn't much time before the press conference started.
Hank pushed Charles wheelchair carefully through the large Metal Detector, making the red lamp above them go off.
"May I see your invitations!", the guard in uniform questioned them and Charles casually placed his finger on his temple, "Yes, you may."
"These three are with me", he added and the guards nodded his head at him, "Go ahead."
Elenor was the next to step through the detector, nothing happened and after her Logan, who seemed pretty surprised by the fact that it didn't went off as he walked through.
The ginger haired woman stopped after a moment and spun around to the man, "Are you coming, or what?"
The guard handed him his sunglasses and Logan followed after Elenor. The two joined the other's and then all they had to do was wait for Raven to make her move on Trask.
"I haven't found her yet, she has to be here", Charles informed the others while he searched with his mind through the heads of the people.
Suddenly a voice spoke through the loud speaker, "The President of the United States."
The dark haired man walked on stage, followed by a couple of other people as the loud music continued to play in the background.
The people cheered and clapped loudly until the President had reached the microphone and held up both of his hands.
The crowd went silent immediately and the man began to speak, "My fellow Americans, today we face the gravest threat in our history— mutants. We have prepared for this threat. In the immortal world of Robert Oppenheimer, 'Behold. The world will never be the same again.'"
The man spun around to the giant American flag, which fell off right in time, revealing eight giant robots.
People started clapping again but Elenor's gaze was fixed on the robots, sorrow in her eyes.
Suddenly Charles voice pulled her out of her thought, "Raven?!"
"I have her", Charles quickly stated as the other's leaned down to him. He pointed to a man a bit further away from them, "There! You see? Secret service, left of the stage. Go!"
The three immediately made their way over to the man but a guard stopped them by stepping into their way, "Gentleman, Ma'am you cannot pass this point."
Elenor wanted to enter his mind but suddenly the robots started to fly upwards into the sky, catching her attention.
She saw how these things raised their arms and aimed at the police cars and where they were parked. Her gaze snapped towards the cars and she spotted a grey haired police officer standing in front of them.
Suddenly the robots started shooting at the people and the ginger haired woman moved her hands. In a second she was standing infront of the officer moving her hands to creat a shield to protect him from the attack.
The people started screaming and ran away from the shooting, Elenor quickly brought the officer to the rest of the crowd, that was leaving the area before she tried her best to create a shield for the people.
Her eyes darted over the robots that still flew above them before it was drawn to something way bigger slowly approaching them.
The woman frowned to herself, until she realized that there was someone flying inside the stadium that was approaching them, "Erik."
The people were now gone and Erik moved the gigantic Stadion over Elenor and the others. Many Debris started falling down on them and the ginger saw how one of them nearly squashed Charles like a bug.
"Charles!", the woman screamed loudly before she started running towards him, moving debris away from her.
Erik suddenly let go of the Stadion and it landed on the ground, creating a short earthquake. Elenor tried to contain her balance but fell onto her knees before she quickly stood up a again.
Meanwhile Erik landed on the ground, his robots as well before he spotted Logan and Hank.
"Do what you are made for", the man simply instructed the robot behind him, who immediately turned towards the two mutants, attacking them.
Elenor tried to reach Charles as she watched Erik lift his hands up but then the woman saw how Logan approached the man quickly.
Erik's gaze fixed on Logan and he moved it, making things fly at the brunette man.
Logan had nearly reached him but Erik hit him with a large stone, ramming the metal poles, which stung out of it violently into his back.
Logan fell the ground grunting heavily, but when he wanted to stand up again Erik moved his hands.
The metal poles slung quickly around Logan's body and rammed into his flesh, making him scream out in pain.
Erik let him fly into the air and eyed him arrogantly, "So much for being a survivor."
He moved his hand without hesitation, making Logan fly backwards, over the edge of stadium until he disappeared.
Elenor let out a scream in horror before she moved her hands and let the red mist twirle around her fingers. She tried to reach Logan with her magic but it was too late.
Her body was trembeling from the power she had just brought up and as the ginger spun around and saw that Erik had already found the safe room of the President and yanked it out of the ground.
Elenor would've been kinda impressed by this when Erik wouldn't risk their plan right now.
The man yanked the thick metal door away and revealed a couple of men in black suits laying all on the ground.
They immediately tried to reach for their guns but Erik just looked at them. The guns flew into the air behind him, immediately aiming at the men.
They slowly stood up and Erik turned his back on them before he moved his hands and turned the cameras towards him.
Hsi face was furious and his voice angered, "You build these weapons to destroy us. Why? Because you're afraid of our gifts. Because we are different. Humanity has always feared that which is different. Well, I'm here to tell you— to tell the world, you are right to fear us. We are the future. We are the ones who will inherit this earth. And anyone who stands in our way will suffer the same fate as these men you see before you. Today was meant to be a display of your power. Instead I give you a glimpse of the devastation my race can unleash upon yours. Let this be a warning to the world. And to my mutant brothers and sisters out there. I say this. No more hiding. No more suffering. You have lived in the shadows in shame for too long. Come out! Join me. Fight together in a brotherhood of our kind. A new tomorrow— that's starts today."
Erik stopped speaking as he seemed to be caught up into his own thoughts. But those were interrupted by the President who suddenly stepped forward, "You want to make a statement? Kill me. Fine. But spare everyone else."
"Very heroic, Mr. President. But you had no intention of sparing any of us. The future if our species begins now", Erik answered him simply.
Elenor was just about to engage in the situation when out of nowhere one of the robots started to attack Erik.
The mutant raised his hand and destroyed the Roboter bit by bit as the President suddenly pulled out a gun, aimed and shot at Erik.
The bullet grazed his neck slightly and Erick gasped deeply while his hand shot up to his bleeding wound.
The man fell to his knees, the Roboters dropped their guns and the guns Erik had controled fell to the ground.
Suddenly the President changed into Raven, who quickly approached Erik.
"You used to me a better shot", Erik stated.
"Trust me. I still am", Raven assured him before she knocked him out with two kicks into the face. She then pulled out her gun and Elenor immediately moved her hands but Charles stopped her.
"Elenor let me try it my way", his voice said in her head which made her drop her hands again.
"Fine, but I'm going to engage if it gets too risky", the woman argued with him quietly.
Just a momen later Raven screamed in rage, Get out of my head Charles!"
Elenor couldn't hear what Charles said to Raven but the blue skinned woman answered him, "Look around you we already are!"
There was silence but Elenor could see in Raven's face that she was fighting with herself. Her hand was shaking as she tightened her finger around the gun.
Elenor wasn't sure if Raven would choose the right things but she hoped for the best.
A very long moment passed by and suddenly Raven dropped her gun.
Everyone exhaled deeply before Raven bend down and pulled Erik's Helmet off of his head. "He's all yours Charles!"
Suddenly Erik got onto his feet and moved his right hand, freeing Charles from his prison under the metal railing.
Hank quickly helped him up and Erik snapped out of his trance turning around, facing Elenor, who had approached him.
"If you let them have me, I am as good as dead. You both know that", the man said as his gaze wandered back and forth between Elenor and Charles.
"I know", Charles answered him while Elenor remained silent, just looking at Erik in disappointment.
"Goodbye, old friend", Erik nodded his head at Charles, who just looked at him with a plain face expression, "Goodbye, Erik."
Erik then turned towards Elenor and sighed as his gaze softened, "I know that you hate me, but if you will ever be able to overcome our differences, come and find me, El."
His gaze then wandere off to Raven before he silently raised his hands and flew into the air, more and more away from them.
Elenor then spun towards Raven as well, their eyes met and before someone could say anything the blue skinned woman left the Stadion.
"Charles are you sure that we should let her go?", Hank questioned the Professor and Charles nodded his head at him, "Yes. There will be a time were we will all be together."
