sunny summer afternoon as Elenor drove into the entrance of Charles gigantic mansion. Elven very long years had past by, meanwhile Charles had opened the Charles Xavier school for gifted people or in other words, Mutants.
The school was good, they helped many kids who didn't knew how to control or live with their powers but Charles withdrew further and further. His injury and Erik's abandon had made the young man bitter.
He didn't wanted to speak to or see anyone, not even Elenor. He also took some serum so that he could walk again, Elenor didn't knew exactly what it was, the only thing she knew was that as long he would take that stuff he couldn't use his power.
She stopped her red car and got out and shook her head as she saw how wild the garden and everything else looked. The ginger continued her way towards the big wooden door before she knocked at the door.
For a moment nothing happened so she started to eye the mansion sceptical. After a little while Hank finally opened her, the women immediately dashed into the mansion.
“How is he today?”, Hank slowly closed the big door and followed after her as she put her bag on the table.
“He was in his room all morning.”
Elenor let herself fall onto the little couch that stood in Charles old office. “It can't go on like this, we have to do something!”
Hank sighed annoyed as he sat down on a chair, “You don't understand El, the Professor we knew is gone.”
“No, I know Charles and he is still in there”, she argued back at Hank who raised his eyebrows at her. “He's not some self-pitying, unkempt and bitter man. He is compassionate, kind and lovely.”
In that moment their conversation was interrupted by someone knocking at the door. Their heads both snapped towards the big door in a second before they looked at each other again.
“Did you call Alex?”
“No I didn't. I didn't spoke to him in a while.”
Hank slowly got up from his chair and walked towards the door, he looked at Elenor one more time before he slowly opened the door a bit.
“Can I help you?”
“Uh— Yeah what happened to the school?”, a man voice asked him irritated.
“The school's been shut for years. Are you a parent?”, Hank asked him curious as he had a irritated expression on his face.
The man scoffed at his question, “I sure as hell hope not. Who are you?”
Hank hesitanted for moment, “I'm Hank. Hank McCoy. I look after the house now.”
Elenor slowly got closer to the door still eavesdropping. “You're beast?”, the man's voice asked disbelieving. “Look at you. I guess you're a late bloomer.”
Hank got nervous, “I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm gonna have to ask you to leave.” He tried to shut the door but the man pressed his hands against the door stopping him.
“So where's the professor?”
“There's no Professor here!” He still tried to shut the door, “You're pretty strong for a scrawny kid. You sure there's not a little Beast in there?”, the man joked again amused.
“No, he's not here.”
“Come on, beast. Come on Beastie”
“No!” Then suddenly Hank was pushed to the side as the door flew open. The man who entered was tall, had brown hair and looked like he had a lot of muscles. But he didn't even realized Elenor who had pushed herself into the dark shadows of the house.
The tall man walked further into the school as Hank quickly followed after him, “You needed to leave!”
“Not until I see the professor.”
Hank grabbed him by the shoulder and turned the man towards him, “There's no Professor here, I told you that.”
The stranger looked at him as he sighed, “Look kid, you and I are onna be good friends.” He quickly punched Hank into the face making the young man stumble to the ground.
“You just don't know it yet.”
The stranger turned around and walked up the stairs shouting for Charles but Hank got mad and slowly transformerd into The Beast. He quickly followed the man, up into the next etage before he attacked him.
Elenor rolled her eyes as she sat down on a chair and let the two man fight with each other.
At some point the man and beast arrived downstairs again, Beast threw the man onto a table directly infront of Elenor before he jumped at him and hung down from the lamp roaring at him aggressivly.
“Hey, there”, was all El said to the man who now looked at her confused.
“Hank? What's going on here?” They all looked up at the stairs were Charles just made his way down.
“Professor?”, the stranger asked him confused. “Please don't call me that.”
“Why? You know this guy?”, Hank asked him still hanging down from the lamp.
“Yeah, he looks slightly familiar”, Charles answered him. “Get off the bloody chandelier, Hank!” Hank jumped down as Charles continued his way down the stairs.
“Good to see you Charles”, El smiled at her friend making the man nodded at her, “Hello Elenor.”
“You can walk”, the man stated as he watched Charles walk down. “You're a perceptive one”, Charles joked as he looked at the man.
“I thought Erik—”, but Charles quickly interrupted him, “Which makes it slightly perplexing that you missed our sign on the way in. This is private property my friend. I'm gonna ask him to ask you to leave.”
Charles sat down on the stairs a galss in his hand. The man mad a face as he looked at Charles, “Well— I'm afraid I can't do that because uh— I was sent here for you.”
“Well, tell whoever it was that sent you that I'm busy.”
The man smiled at Charles amused, “That's gonna be a little tricky— because the person who sent me was you.”
Elenor and Hank exchanged a confused look before they both looked back at the man. “What?”
“— about 50 years ago from now.”
Charles began to laugh at his words disbelieving and Hank and Elenor began to chuckle as well. The man rolled his eyes smirking lightly, “I know. Stay with me.”
Charles eyed him closely, “Like in the future, 50 Years from now?”
“Yeah”
The professor started smiling amused, “I sent you from the future?”
“Yeah.”
Charles looked at Hank who shook his head disbelieving, he then looked back at the man. “Piss off.”
“If you had your powers, you'd know I was telling the truth.”
All their heads immediately snapped his heads towards the man a sceptical look on their faces, “How do you know, I don't have my p—”, Charles stopped suddenly. “Who are you?”
“I told you”, the stranger answered him and somehow Elenor had the feeling that he was telling the truth.
“Are you CIA?”
“No”
“Have you been watching me?"
The man sighed again, “I know you, Charles. We've been friends for years. I know your powers came when you were 9. I know you thought you were going crazy when it started all the voices in your head.” He pointed with his finger against his head as he walked up and down.
“And it wasn't until you were twelve that you realized that all the voices were in everyone else's head. Do you want me to go on?”
“I never told anyone that”, Charles said stunned as he eyed the man infront of him. “Not yet, no, but, you will.”
“All right, you've piqued my interest. What do you want?”
“We have to stop Raven. I needed your help. We need your help.”
Elenor's eyes widened by the name, she hadn't seen Raven in years. It was such a long time ago that they last hugged each other or talked.
“I think I'd like to wake up now”, Charles said, hurt in his voice as he stood up from the stairs. He walked into his office as Elenor looked at the man, “What does she have to do with this?”
“So you're saying that they took Raven's power, and what? They weaponized it?”, Charles puree himself a drink.
“Yup.”
Hank shrugged at the professor, “She is unique.”Charles smiled a bit at the man with glasses, “Yeah, she is Hank.”
“Look, in the beginning the Sentinels were just targeting mutants. Then they began to identify the genetics in non-mutants, who would eventually have mutant children and grandchildren. Many of the humans tried to help us but it was a slaughter. Leaving only the worst of humanity in charge.”
The man watched Charles as the professor sat down on the chouch were Elenor had sat earlier. “I've been in a lot of Wars. I'd never seen anything like this. And it all starts with her.”
Elenor's gaze fell onto the ground as Charles spoke up again, “Lets just say for the sake of— the sake, that I choose to believe you. That I choose to help you. Raven won't listen to me.”
The stranger chuckled to himself, “Her sould belongs to someone else now.”
The tall man slowly stood up, “I know. That's why we gonna need Magneto, too.”
“Erik?”, Elenor asked him immediately in a disbelieving tone. Charles chuckled as Hank asked, “You do know where he is?”
“Yeah.”
Charles still chuckled, “Could you give me that one more time, please?”
“You heard me.”
Charles started to laugh loudly as he stood up from the couch. He suddenly got a serious face again as he walked out of the office. “He's where he belongs!”
“You're just gonna walk out?” Charles turned around to the man walking backwards, “Ooh, top marks. Like I said, you are perceptive.”
“The Professor I know would never turn his back on someone who'd lost thier path. Especially someone he loved.”
Elenor looked down at the ground as she inhaled quietly.
“You know, I think I do remember you now. Yeah. Tall, angry fellow with the contentious hair. We came to you a long time ago seeking your help”, the professor answered him as he approched the man slowly.
“And I'm gonna say to you what you said to us then. Fuck off!”
The guy suddenly grabbed the professor by the shirt which made Elenor and Hank jump out of their chairs. “Listen to me, you little shit! I've come a long way, and I've watched a lot of people die. Good people. Friends. If you're gonna wallow in self-pity and do nothing, then you're gonna watch the same thing, you understand?”
Charles looked at the man with darkness in his eyes, “We all have to die sometime.” He turned around and walked up the stairs again.
“Told you there was no professor here”, Hank said to the man as he crossed his arms.
“What the hell happened to him?” Elenor looked up from the floor, “He lost everything. Erik, Raven— his legs. And my friendship wasn't enough. We built a school, that lab, this whole place, then just after the first semester, the war in vietnam got worse. Many of the teachers and older students were drafted. It broke him. Charles retreated into himself.”
She walked over to Hank and laid a hand on his shoulder, “Hank wanted to help, do something, so he designed a serum to treat his spine.”
“Yeah, it's derived from the same formula that helps me control my mutation. I take just enough to keep myself balanced but he takes to much”, Hank spoke up from were he stood now.
“I tried easing back but he just couldn't bear the pain, the voices. The treatment gives him his legs but it's no enough. He's — He's just lost too much.”
The ginger haired woman eyed the man, “Um— so you want to get Raven back? I'll help.”
“I can need any help I can get”, he told her thankful. “I'm Elenor. Elenor Hastings by the way”, she introduced herself as she streched out her hand for him to take. “Logan”, he replied to her as he shook her hand.
“I'll help you get her.” A voice suddenly spoke up from behind them.
They all turned towards the professor, “Not for any of you future shite, but for her.”
“Fair enough”, Logan replied to the man infront of him.
“But I tell you this. You don't know Erik. That man is a monster. A murderer”
Elenor played with her fingers as she looked out of the window she stood infront of. After everything Erik had done the woman still couldn't see him as a monster.
“You think you can convince Raven to change? To come home? That's splendid. But what makes you think you can change him?”, Charles question the man.
Without missing a beat Logan answered him, “Beacuse you and Erik sent me back here together.”
Charles remained silent for a moment but the he suddenly started to search something in his shelfs. He finally found some papers and spread them out on the table.
“The room they're holding him in was built during second World War when there was a shortage of steel. So the foundation is pure concrete and sand. No metal. He's being held a hundred floors beneath the most heavily guarded building on the planet.”
“Why is he in there?”, Logan asked them curious. Charles looked up from his map at the other two. “What, they forgot to mention?”
He chuckled as Hank just shrugged and said, “JFK.”
“He killed JFK?!”
Charles raised an eyebrow as he leaned on the table, “What else explains a bullet miraculously curving through the air? Erik always had a way with guns.”
He looked at Logan, “You sure you want to carry on with this?” Logan looked back at the man, “This is your plan not mine.”
“But we don't have any resources to get us in”, Elenor spoke up for the first time since they had gathered around the table. “Or out”, Charles added as he leaned back.
“It's just me, Hank and Elenor.”
The woman crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at Logan, “And I don't know If I can control this many minds at the same time.”
“Maybe you don't have to”, Logan looked at her smirking. “I knew a guy. Yeah, he'd be a young guy now. Grew up outside of D.C.”
He chuckled before he continued, “He could get into anywhere. I just don't know how the hell we're gonna find him.”
Hank looked at Charles carefully, “Is Cerebro out of question?” But Charles didn't answered him as he just gave him a look.
Logan sighed as he shook his head to himself, “Only if you guys had internet.” The three eyed him confused, “What is internet?”
Hank suddenly raised an eyebrow, “We have a Phonebook.”
