hands swiftly, making the metal debris shoot into the air behind him.

His eyes were fixed on the ancient one that stood on the ground, looking up at him before he moved his hands again.

The debris attacked the ancient one immediately, but the blue skinned mutant created a portal that made them disappear before they could hit him.

Elenor moved her hands immediately, shooting a large red beam at him. To her surprise the beam didn't made it through the barrier the ancient one had created around himself.

Neither of the three stopped their doing and the woman grunted as she now used her other hand as well.

Suddenly Hank ran past her. The man quickly grabbed Raven and freed Peter from his trap.

Then out of nowhere Scott shot a red beam past the blue skinned mutant. This caught the ancient ones attention.

He spun around and pointed one of his arms towards Scott, making the dust float towards him, clouding his sight.

Elenor let our a battle cry as she put more pressure onto the barrier. The red mist shot out of her hands, colliding with the barrier, but again nothing happened.

Meanwhile Hank tried to jump onto the barrier, but the blue skinned mutant spotted him and threw Hank against the next car, knocking him out.

Scott let out a scream before he closed his eyes, finally putting on his sunglasses again.

To their disadvantage, the ancient one used Scott's distraction, to throw and pin him against the wall. Scott called out for Hank as he was slowly consumed to the chest by the wall.

The ancient one then tried move forward but Elenor moved her hands in a circle. The red mist surrounded the barrier and she yanked her hands back.

The blue skinned mutant turned around, fixing his gaze on her before he moved his hand, flipping her through the air.

The ginger broke through the next wall. Coughing loudly and gasping for air, she laid in the dust, watching him approached the building Charles remained in.

The woman got onto her feet, slowly. Her vision was a bit blurry, maybe she had concussion. But that wouldn't stop her.

Her gaze then fell onto the large building infront of them. There was Jean, slowly walking towards the edge.

Elenor frowned as she spotted the teenager, who now started walking in the air.

Approaching the ancient one, Jean had a determined look on her face. Elenor watched the girl with wide eyes.

Jean let out a bone shattering battle cry before she suddenly pulled her arms to her side, consuming the blue skinned mutant's barrier.

He floated into the air as they both let out screams. His armor slowly broke apart and Elenor and Erik took that as a sign to attack once more.

Erik quickly impaled the mutant with his metal debris and Elenor rushed towards him, fiering red energy balls at him.

Meanwhile Hank was conciouse againa and had freed Scott from the wall. The young boy immediately joined them, shooting at the ancient one.

To their surprise the blue skinned mutant, succeeded to built up the barrier once more. But immediately after, it started to crumble.

Elenor's gaze moved upwards into the sky and she exhaled quietly as she saw Storm, summoning her thunder right above the ancient one.

Jean continued her doing and the ancient one started to slowly turn into dust.

The blue mutant looked at the ground that surrounded him, his eyes wide opened, "All is revealed."

Then the rest of his armor was gone and the fire that was radiating from Jean seemed to just burn him away.

When the ancient one completely turned into dust, the fire from around Jean disappeared with him.

The mutant exchanged looks of relive but then Elenor's and Erik's eyes met.

The ginger held eye contact with her husband and slightly nodded her head at him. Which he returned immediately.

Hank and Scott then went off to look for Charles while Elenor quickly made her way over to Raven.

"You're okay", the ginger questioned her friend with a worried face expression.

The blue skinned woman sat up against the wall behind her, seeming quiet exhausted from her battle with the ancient one. "Yeah. I- I'm good."

The two women smiled at each other before Elenor gave her a hand and helped her stand up. "Come on. Let's get out of here."

The ginger then helped Raven up onto the building and they joined the other's before they all made their way back towards the destroyed mansion.

On the flight back Jean took care of Raven's wounds. Peter, Scott and Kurt remained in the front of the jet and Charles sat by Hank and Moira, who were steering the jet.

Elenor remained sitting a bit distant from the other's, when Erik joined her.

The two adults sat next to each other in silence before Erik wanted to speak. He let out a shaking breath, gazing over at the woman he loved. "Elenor, I- I can't express how-"

The ginger turned towards him, immediately meeting his gaze. She slowly moved towards him, placing her hands on both sides of his face, already knowing what he wanted to say.

"You don't have to apologize. You don't have to say anything. You're here with me now", the two stared into each other's eyes. Erik softly took her hands in his and placed a kiss on the back of them.

"I love you."

Elenor smiled slightly, she held her tears back while she nodded her head at him, "I love you too."

The tears then roll down her cheek before she laid her head onto his chest, letting him hold her for the rest of their flight.

After their return to the, now destroyed Mutant school, Elenor and Erik helped Charles and his students to rebuilt their home.

This time they both used to think about how their future should be. Now that Nina was gone Elenore knew that she would never be the same again. And Erik seemed like he just wanted to find a place where no normal human would ever hurt them.

At last the two had decided that they wouldn't stay with Charles. Elenor just didn't belong into the school anymore and Erik never had in the first place.

And when the day of their goodbye arrived the two stood besides Charles in silence.

"The world's already begun rebuilding it's arsenals", Charles stated as the three watched the new generation of X-Men line up infront of Raven.

Erik had his hands in his pockets, "It's human nature, Charles."

There was silence before Charles continued, "I still have hope." The man besides him chuckled quietly, "Oh, yes. Hope."

The two men held eye contact, "I was right about Raven. I was even right about you."

Erik raised his eyebrows while he turned towards his friend, "What about the rest of the world? Doesn't it ever wake you up in the middle of the night? The feeling that one day they'll come for you and your children."

Charles looked up at him and nodded, "It does, indeed."

"What do you do when you wake up to that?", Erik questioned Charles with a curious face expression.

"I feel great swell of pity for the poor soul that comes to my school, looking for trouble", the professor held eye contact with his old friend before he went on.

"I'm sure I can't convince you to stay?"

A small smile appeared on Erik's face, "You're psychic, Charles." He walked past him and patted his shoulder, "You can convince me to do anything."

Erik walked towards the elevator and remained standig there, waiting for Elenor.

The ginger now stepped forward, embracing Charles in a tight hug.

"You really want to go?", the man questioned her. The woman leaned back. "I have to. Or who's going to take care of him?", she nodded her head towards Erik.

Charles smiled lightly before he chuckled. "I'm going to miss you."

"You're going to be okay", Elenor smiled at him before she shrugged. "And if you're not, you know where to find me."

The woman walked past him, joining Erik by the elevator. The two interlocked their fingers before the doors opened and the two stepped inside.

"Goodbye, old friend", Charles voice suddenly echoed from the hallway. A large smile appeared on Erik face.

"Good luck, Professor."
