"Nene-chan, Nene-chan!" Aoi called out, frantically running towards Yashiro as he waved her arms around, papers in hand. Some people she passed by to took a double take, swooning at the girl.

Yashiro paused in her steps and turned, her face almost immediately twisting into a grimace when she saw what Aoi was holding. "For me?" And no one can blame her — the boss was pretty harsh on her even though she stays behind just to help with work. Amane and Aoi has told her countless of times that it was because she was the boss's favorite employee (but that doesn't mean he should dump all the work to her).

Aoi sent her a sad smile, sympathetic. "I'm sorry, Nene-chan, but on the bright side, you and Minamoto-senpai are gonna work on this together, you know!" She said.

Yashiro's eyes sparkled, immediately snatching the papers. "Oh! That would be a great help!" Aoi giggled and said something about how she knew Yashiro would react like that. Yashiro really needed help and knew that Minamoto-senpai would be a great one. "I'm gonna leave this on my desk and ask Minamoto-senpai for help later. I need a break."

Aoi patted her shoulder. "It's okay, Nene-chan! You deserve a break, you've done amazing work!"

Yashiro smiled. Aoi can always lift her mood no matter the circumstance, which was why they got along faster than the rest of the workers. Yashiro heaved a sigh and all but threw the clipped papers on her desk and lazily sauntered over to the girls' bathroom, fiddling with her ring, then suddenly picked up voices from inside.

What she heard, though, made her halt as soon as she heard a familiar name and fume.

"Yugi-san is kinda lame, don't ya think?" A shrill voice said, the annoying type of voice that could easily break glass with a word. Annoying, annoying, annoying. Your voice and attitude is kinda lame, don't ya think? Yashiro said in her mind, then realized that maybe that was a bit mean. "Yugi-san is my least favorite person to work with."

Yashiro gasped, clearly offended, but her offense wasn't too loud for the girls to hear. She decided to listen silently, a frown on her face and a pout on her lips.

Another groaned in distaste. "Yes! Right? His bowl-cut hairstyle is so not my type. What a waste of pretty eyes." What a waste of saliva. They could be working and getting a raise right now, but no, they decided to be the biggest b (insert word that rhymes with witch).

"Not to mention he slacks off and flirts with that one girl non-stop! I don't get why the boss likes him!"

"The boss likes him because Amane-kun is a hard-working employee who never fails to make the best out of everything and produces amazing work," Yashiro snapped, steam coming out of her ears, fingers curled into a fist that she wanted nothing more than to punch on their faces. "Unlike all of you, at least."

One of the girls scrunched her nose up in distaste. "It's the girl he keeps on flirting with." She clicked her tongue. "So defensive of your little boyfriend," the female sneered, "don't get your hopes up, sweetheart, you don't have a chance with those fat ankle of yours."

Yashiro wanted to laugh at her face. Is that really the best she could do? Yashiro can spit out worse insults that can scar their petty minds for insulting Amane. Not to mention how stupid that insult is. "Very original, miss. You want a reward for that terrible retort?"

They stood quietly.

"Good." Then Yashiro twirled around and almost bumped into a blond, who was about to take a sharp turn. "Ah! Minamoto-senpai! Sorry."

Teru glared at the girls for a second before sweetly smiling at Yashiro. "Ah, hey, Yashiro-san! I was looking for you." Then his eyes landed on the girls that flinched. Teru can be really scary when he wants to. "No need to say anything. I heard everything."

Yashiro frowned in confusion and tilted her head.

"Nene-chan," Aoi whispered, "did you hear? Three girls got fired for verbal harassment today. I heard they have been insulting every employee here and purposely dumping their work for other workers to do."

Yashiro smiled knowingly. "Ah, so that's it."

"Everyone! I have an announcement!" Every head in the room turned to their manager, who was beaming, chest puffed. They all perked their heads up from their seats, awaiting for their boss to start speaking. "Employee of the month is Yugi-san!"

"Which one?" Yashiro asked at the same time a person who entered the room also asked just as everyone was about to cheer.

"Huh?" Literally everyone in the room asked. Yashiro and Amane made eye-contact with each other, the latter sending the former a cheeky grin and wink. Yashiro blushed and looked away — Amane really can't go past her without winking or smirking, huh?

"Which one. . ." The boss repeated, confounded with the sudden question. "Oh, right. But your twin isn't working here, Amane-san. How would I promote him?"

Yashiro and Amane both lifted their hands, revealing rings that glinted against the light, oddly similar to each other. Realization dawned on everyone and they snapped out of their shock when Amane pecked Yashiro's forehead.

"It was about time, anyway." Amane snickered.

"Yeah, I'm kind of offended people would think that I would wear this ring for decoration," Yashiro grumbled, as Amane cackled and ruffled her cream locks. And then the room exploded.

"Oh my God."

"Is that the reason why Yugi-san, er, Amane-san keeps on flirting with Yashiro-san, ah, Nene-san?"

"I've never realized they had a ring. . ."

"That's so sweet!"

"What a dramatic reveal."

"Is that why Yashiro— Nene-san frowned when the boss called her as Yashiro-san and promoted her as employee of the month?"

"How long have they been hiding this?"

Amane shrugged. "No one asked. The topic was never brought up, we didn't hide it or anything."

The boss cleared his throat. "A—Alright, uh, the employee of the month is. . .Amane-san." He forced a smile. "Uh, let's all greet him with a congratulations, eh?"

From outside of the room, three girls gaped at the scene before them, carrying a box full of their stuff (they were spying from the open window), and immediately rethought their life choices.

Amane turned to Yashiro, a glint in his eyes. "Also, what's this I heard about Minamoto-senpai and you working together. Alone, huh?"

Yashiro waved him off. "It's for a work, Amane, don't get all jealous, please. Are you saying you'd rather you work together with him?" Amane gagged. "We're married anyway, and I'm sure Minamoto-senpai of all people would know and respect that."

Amane huffed and planted his chin on Yashiro's fluffy hair, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "Fine. You're mine."
