Part two of human!Amane and Yashiro au!

"You mean it?" Yashiro asked nervously, unsure with her words. She stared at the golden-eyed boy expectantly as she bit her lip in excitement

"Y. . ." Amane looked away from Yashiro's awed and curious eyes, feeling his face flush. ". . .yes."

Yashiro beamed at him and laughed, making Amane flustered (and sort of offended). "Why are you laughing?"

Yashiro shook her head. "I'm not laughing at your confession, Amane-kun. I'm laughing because this is most possibly the cheesiest place for a confession."

Amane turned crimson. "I didn't plan it," he mumbled.

Yashiro bursted out in a fit of soft giggles, pausing slightly when Amane glared at her half-heartedly. "Okay, okay. Don't worry, Amane-kun! I also, sorta, really like you. A lot. And this place is just really sweet and perfect."

Amane's jaw slacked. "You do!?" Yashiro stared at him weirdly. "I meant, like, you like-like me?"

Yashiro hummed thoughtfully, her face dusted with hints of red. "Well, you see, we talk often. Or, uh, at least, I talk to you more than I do with other boys. And I-" Yashiro blushed, her voice getting quieter- "I just realized that I also, uhm, really, really like you. And uh. . ." she trailed off.

They both cleared their throats and looked away from each other.

"This is awkward."

"What now?" Amane blurted out the first question that came to his mind.

Amane finally knows Yashiro likes him back.

They both like each other.

But. . .

What now?

Do they just start being in a relationship?

Yashiro fiddled with her fingers. "I. . .don't really know. This is actually the first time I, ah-" she laughed nervously and stuttered with her words - "got c-confessed to." She just quietly muttered the last word under her breath but Amane heard and understood perfectly.

He smiled.

Yashiro pouted at him. "Why are you happy that I'd never been confessed to before?" She asked him.

Amane kept on smiling as he stared at her, admiring her adorable beauty. Aw. "I'm happy because it means that I'm the first - and hopefully last - who got to see you get all flustered like this from a confession."

Yashiro reddened again, reaching the tips of her ears, which meant it was useless if she covered her face because her whole body is heating up anyway. "I didn't know you were this cheesy, Amane-kun."

The boy chuckled. "I thought it was obvious enough."

Yashiro recalled the times she interacted with Amane and realized pretty much all of their conversations is just him being all sly, his words so close to flirting. His playful smirk didn't really help.

"Oh," Yashiro said when realization struck her. "Oh."

"Back to my question," Amane began. "What now?"

"I guess we're. . .like, together now? Like a couple."

Amane beamed, his eyes lit up while excitement was evident on his smile, which stunned Yashiro a bit. Amane was kind of quiet in class, and would only speak when spoken to - the only exception is Yashiro, of course. He's friends with everyone, he's just quiet.

"Really?" When Yashiro nodded, Amane only smiled even wider. "Then, we're the best couple ever."

Yashiro grinned. "Yeah! Definitely!"

They shared a small laugh.

THE NEXT DAY

"Yashiro, you like me, right?"

Yashiro's smile turned into a frown. She just arrived at the classroom and she already noticed Amane's bad mood.

"Of course I do!" Yashiro huffed. "We just talked about this yesterday - what happened?"

Amane's eyes flitted around the room in panic, before he gave up because he felt Yashiro's unwavering stare. "It's. . .nothing."

Yashiro shook her head. "If you're really upset about it, then it's not nothing!"

Amane felt his cheeks go warm a bit. He couldn't really say no when Yashiro's eyes were pretty much pleading. "Our classmates just asked what happened to you and I said that we talked. Akane asked if we confessed to each other and I said yes, but no one really believed me."

Yashiro was fuming, but if Amane needs love and support, then she will most definitely give him love and support.

More students arrived and noticed the scene: Amane and Yashiro by the blackboard in front of the class. They watched them with curiousity.

Yashiro's heart was thumping so loudly, she was afraid that Amane would hear it. But then she would glance back up at Amane's golden eyes, and realize she's all nervous for nothing.

She didn't care that pretty much the whole class is watching them.

She didn't care if they judged them.

What mattered most is Amane will not get insecure of something they proudly bloomed themselves.

What mattered most is that the two of them is together.

Yashiro held Amane's arms and stared at him with so much determination that it actually surprised Amane.

"Amane-kun. . . "

Amane gulped a bit at their intimate position. Yashiro held his hands tightly and leaned in to stare at his eyes. He noticed she would look away momentarily, but still end up staring at his eyes.

"Remember when you told me you wanted to become an astronaut?"

Amane sweat-dropped.

He actually heard someone say "well that was anti-climatic" and he agreed with his whole heart. He still stood still, though. Amane's basically in heaven with how Yashiro was basically hugging him.

"You wanted to go to the moon, because you said it was nice there. And I agree with you, it is so big and beautiful, it's ethereal - sometimes, we just can't help but want to just go there, right?"

Amane nodded slowly, still not understanding anything.

Yashiro continued on. "I don't really want to go there. But when you said that to me, I wanted nothing more than to take you to the moon myself! I will take you to the moon if it means that you'll be happy, okay?" Yashiro smiled, so huge and bright. She's stunning. "That's how much I love you! So. . . how about we go together. . .to the moon?"

Amane's eyes widened, and he felt it grow glossy. He didn't care that the class was watching in awe. He was shocked that Yashiro really said love. He pulled her into the tightest hug, feeling both him and her relax instantly.

"Okay. That's a promise."

I just realized I kept on writing Hanonene instead of Hananene and no one bothered to correct me 😂

Unfortunately, exams are so near so I probably won't be able to update for one week. I've said it before. This might be my last update in a while.

But I promise that as soon as exams are done, I'll give all the chapters I can write!
