IDOL IN DISGUISE. . .
"But when you touch my hand, it all goes away,
The things I plan, the things I would say
Now I keep rambling on, I sound so cliche,
What I am trying to do is say I love you"
i love u : loving caliber
— warning: tons of dramatic, and a super extra reveal w/ fluff because it's Hananene

"Hey, did you hear?"
"Hear what?"
"You haven't? Let me tell you, there's someone. . ."
"Is he a new student?"
Yashiro furrowed her brows and paused the song she was listening to upon hearing all the whispers around her; whether it's from the entrance, the hallway, the stairs — you'll hear gossips everywhere. It's not like it's new to them, rumors were the main topic of the students attending Kamome; but they were talking about a new student.
A new student!
That itself is so rare for Kamome since it is a school that's been floating with nothing but childish rumors. It never had a good name to it.
Yashiro saw her best friend and took off her earphones. Aoi, then all but ran towards her. "Aoi-chan, who's this new student everyone is talking about? It's everywhere, I'm kind of scared."
Aoi twirled around and giggled at Yashiro anxiously fiddling her fingers. "Nene-chan, you didn't hear? There's a new student, first year — and guess what?"
"What?"
Aoi motioned for Yashiro to move closer. Yashiro obliged and patiently waited as Aoi looked around for a bit before whispering, "I heard he's really attractive, and he's going to be our classmate!"
Yashiro squealed, almost vibrating from excitement. "Really? No wonder why everyone is talking about him! And he's going to be in our class, too. How lucky."
The bell rang.
Yashiro bit her lip in anticipation.

Short; choppy, black hair; wide eyes shaped like a crescent, accompanied by a toothy grin. When he walked into the room, his chin was raised — he carried himself as if he owned the place, and, suddenly, Yashiro is starting to doubt the rumors.
He's. . .not that handsome, Yashiro wistfully thought, leaning back on her seat in disappointment. She crossed her arms and pouted. All of her self-starred, self-directed fantasies disappeared along with her sky-high expectations.
He wasn't much. Average, maybe. He seemed more like a wolf than a handsome prince.
"Good morning! My name is Yugi Amane. I have a younger twin, but he's placed in a different class," Amane said. "I like astronomy and sing— er, yeah. I like astronomy. That's all."
The teacher nodded and politely smiled. "Thank you, Yugi." His eyes flitted around the classroom. "The only empty seat is behind Yashiro-san. You may go and seat there."
Amane's eyes snapped onto Yashiro's, making the girl freeze for a moment. Then a smirk — a huge contrast to his childish grin earlier — creeped up his face, as if taunting her. Yashiro felt her cheeks warm for some reason she doesn't know.
It was like the class didn't even notice the tension that sparked between the two as they were too busy chatting and whispering to each other. About what? Yashiro doesn't know. Why? She doesn't care.
Amane trudged forwards, oh so slowly. Yashiro felt like she was in a horror movie with how unnerving the scene was. With each step, her heart rate picked up, yet everything was happening in slow motion.
When he passed by her, Yashiro felt herself stop breathing. The slight gust of wind caused goosebumps to rise on her skin, or maybe it's the fact that he's so close?
Then when he sat down, everything went back to normal, everyone went back to what they were doing; because Yashiro was the only one who experienced that hair-raising moment, she was the only one who was overreacting.
She glanced back.
But he was already staring at her.
Yashiro quickly looked away, placing a hand on her beating chest. Her heart acted as if it just competed in a marathon and it's second place.
Be still, my heart.
Yashiro blinked in surprise at her sudden thought and shook it away. It must be the chocolate she ate earlier that was getting to her, and not the fact that she felt like someone was burning holes on her back. Nope, what are you talking about?
Time flew by quickly — before Yashiro even knew it, recess break started. Students who would buy went outside, as the others stayed in the classroom to eat their packed lunch.
Aoi trotted over to Yashiro as if she's stepping on lily pads, a sweet smile that everyone knows and love gracing her lips. Yashiro smiled back, but it didn't meet her eyes.
Aoi's face fell into a frown. "Are you okay, Nene-chan? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Hah.
Yashiro shook her head. "No, don't worry, Ao-chan! I was just thinking about something. I'm fine." She anxiously tapped her nails on the wooden table.
Aoi sighed and sat on the seat beside hers. "You've been staring at your phone for a while. Are you listening to Hanako again? I get that his songs are nice, but you listen to it constantly."
Yashiro's face erupted into a lovely shade of red. She just realized that her phone was out in the open, a picture of her favorite singer's album shown on the screen. "Ah, yeah."
Aoi softly laughed and eyed the picture. "Did you hear, Nene-chan? Hanako's going out of homeschool. The people who will be able to meet him are so lucky!"
Yashiro lit up, her mouth agape. "Really? Oh geez, they'll be able to see his face! That's every girls' dream come true. . ." She then spaced out and began to imagine what would Hanako's face look like.
"Oh?"
Yashiro and Aoi turned to Amane, whose chin was rested on his palm, a lazy smile etched on his lips. "You guys listen to Hanako?"
Aoi nodded, oblivious of the way Yashiro squeaked and avoided eye contact. "Yeah, we do! He's really the rising star in Japan."
"Cool." There was a devilish look of mischief in his face. Yashiro didn't like it. "Pretty famous guy, I guess."
"He's not just pretty famous! He's even reached the charts worldwide!" Yashiro suddenly chimed in. "Hanako-san's more than famous!"
"Is that so?" Amane cooed, pleased with her outburst.
Go on, feed his ego.
Aoi frowned for a moment, before a knowing smile bloomed on her face. "I knew it." She then stood up. "Well, I need to go. Akane-kun told me that we should meet up. See you two later!" Then she ran off without waiting for a response.
"Knew what. . ?" Yashiro lamely asked herself — Aoi didn't even give her a chance to say goodbye and that makes her confused and kind of sad.
"Wow, look at that, Yashiro!" Amane chuckled, peeking to see Yashiro's phone. "Do you have all of his songs?"
"Yeah. . ?"
Amane whistled lowly. "Dedicated. That's impressive."
"You're such a handful," Yashiro muttered.
Amane smirked and leaned closer, his breath fanning on her face. "That's why you have two hands, Yashiro."
Yashiro yelped and inched away almost immediately, feeling her mouth dry. Her mind swirled into thoughts about his eyes — why are his eyes so pretty up close!? Amane chuckled again at Yashiro's reaction.
"W-Well—" she mentally cursed herself for stuttering— "his songs are nice, okay? His voice is really good. You can't blame me."
Yashiro was surprised when Amane blushed and shot her a genuine smile. "Ah, you think so? Thank you."
"What are you thanking me for?"
"When someone compliments you, aren't you supposed to say thank you?" Amane said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Yashiro, did you forget your manners?"
Yashiro frowned and blinked at Amane confusedly. "I don't understand. Why are you—"
Amane rolled his eyes and poked Yashiro's nose, a smile on his face. "I am Hanako, idiot."

Thanks for requesting! I can't believe I got more idol requests lol. I love the idea.
Took a while cause I updated my other book, but hey, here we are!
This idea just struck me but I imagine Yashiro dying afterwards and Amane ran to the infirmary.
😳✌️
Thanks for reading! 💞
