BACKSTAGE WITH A FAN. . .
"I've fallen into an impossible love,
With someone who's out of my reach
Will we meet again next week?"

Yashiro stifled her fangirling shrieks by clamping a hand on her mouth, but absolutely failed when a certain blond smiled at the camera, his pearly-white teeth shining.
"Teru! Teru! Teru!" The crowd chanted so loud that Yashiro just had to chant along—
"Nene-chan, are you watching the video again?" Aoi asked, placing a hand on her shoulder, snapping Yashiro away from her daydream.
Yashiro made some sort of squall and dropped her phone. Her head whipped around to see the concerned glint in Aoi's eyes. Yashiro picked her phone up and chuckled nervously; it's not easy being a fangirl.
"Ah, come on, Aoi-chan! He is just everyone's dream idol! I would die if I ever see him live!" Yashiro gushed, fanning herself dramatically as she stared at a picture of Teru.
Aoi's brows furrowed. "Oh, then I guess you wouldn't like this ticket I bought?"
This piqued Yashiro's interest. "Tickets? For who? "
Aoi seemed sad. "Ah, it's not Minamoto Teru's though, it's from an idol I recently found out about."
Yashiro is supposed to be at least sort of heartbroken, right? It's painfully obvious she idolizes one and only one — but why did her heart flutter in her chest when she heard Aoi say that?
"Who is it?"
Aoi grinned and played a video on her phone, all but shoved her phone on Yashiro's face. Yashiro frowned at her in question, but Aoi just gestured at her phone.
At the screen, it showed an empty stage, flashing lights that only had either the colors of red or black. It was dark, but somehow, it made everything look so bright. Yashiro squinted. Maybe it's because of the screams and squeals from the crowd, or the music hyping everything up, but when a certain ravenette entered the stage, Yashiro realized how wrong she was.
The boy — who Yashiro then learned was Hanako, his stage name — entered the stage with a bright grin that rivalled the sun's, with flushed cheeks. What's pecuilar wasn't his outfit that screamed school boy, school boy! nor the seal on his cheek (must be a trademark); no, in fact, Yashiro doesn't even know herself, but Hanako is captivating.
"Oh, wow," was all Yashiro could say.
Then the video was over before she even knew it. Yashiro sort of felt disappointed that there wasn't more content of Hanako, but then the thought faded when she realized that holy crap we're going to his concert!
Yashiro stared at Aoi, who was smirking. No words were needed to be spoken, Aoi knew how easy it was to get Yashiro hooked.
"Tomorrow, front row. Wear something cute!" Aoi giggled, nudging Yashiro.
Yashiro felt a shaky smile creep up her face, her hands trembling in excitement. Front row, front row! That's insane! How did Aoi even—
Yashiro threw a questioning look towards Aoi. "How did you manage to get a front row seat, Aoi?"
Aoi winked at her. "I know some people that may or may not be personally close with Hanako himself." She giggled at Yashiro's gaped face.
"Who is it!?"
"My boyfriend," Aoi whispered. "He works there sometimes, he told me."
Yashiro gasped. "Akane-kun personally knows Hanako!? Really?"
Aoi nodded, chin raised. She seems to be very proud of Akane. "Yup! Now, are you going to finish that video about Minamoto Teru's tour or. . ?"
Yashiro suddenly didn't want to finish it anymore, not when her mind is occupied by the owner of those heart-stopping eyes. "I. . .I'm going to finish it someday. I want to search something."
Aoi smiled knowingly.

Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Deep breaths, Yashiro. Deep breaths.
It's just a concert!
Stupid Yashiro, it's not just a concert — it's Hanako's concert! You're finally going to meet him! Up close! Front row!
Yashiro stared at herself through her mirror again, twisting her body, fixing her skirt, twirling her hair, trying to see if the outfit is perfect for the occasion! (And also if it's eye-catching so a certain someone will notice her).
"Nene-chan, you look perfect! Stop judging yourself, please," Aoi pretty much begged. Yashiro giggled softly. Aoi's a great friend.
"Are you sure? I'm not underdressed? Or overdressed?" Yashiro did a small spin. "I feel like I'm both at the same time." She angrily tugged at her braid.
Aoi couldn't help but laugh. "You're perfectly dressed, Nene-chan. Stop being so harsh on your choices! Are you really that persistent on impressing. . ." Aoi smirked. . ."Hanako?"
Yashiro blushed.
Okay. She's a huge, huge fan now. She absolutely fell in love with Hanako's charm, smile, and charisma — and there's so much more, Yashiro could go on for hours!
"Yeah, yeah," Yashiro grumbled, trying to hide her blush.
Aoi laughed and gently grabbed her arm. "Come on! We might be late!"
"Ao-chan, we're 5 hours early—"

The lights turned off along with the drop of the bass. Yashiro felt goosebumps travel to her skin once she felt like her heart literally paused from beating when the bass dropped.
Screams were heard, but Yashiro didn't mind. She's screaming, too, anyways.
Aoi was beside her, recording the whole thing. Adrenaline coursed through Yashiro as she squealed louder, her heart thumping dangerously fast. Her glow stick brightened, along with the rest of the crowd as its the only light that lit up the arena.
Then the screen lit up, a cue for fans to scream even louder, if that's possible.
The guitar started playing; Yashiro wanted to cry.
But everything stopped when the spotlight appeared, lighting Hanako's (already glowing) figure. He lifted his head and gave the crowd a huge grin, so pure and wide it's almost illegal.
Yashiro stopped screaming, and instead watched Hanako in awe as he began to sing. It's even better in real life! Not even the camera was able to capture Hanako's lively personality.
Not even words could describe what Yashiro is feeling.
Another song starts, then another, then another. Yashiro was so lost in the moment that she didn't notice that he was already halfway through the last song.
If I could touch you, even an ordinary flower would smile and bloom in midair
When you get up, up, even the clouds blush in embarrassment as they fly
They met eyes. It's probably possible because the spotlight is suddenly placed near Yashiro. Panicked, Yashiro tried to hide behind Aoi, but, Aoi just pushed her back and smirked.
As long as you're here, even boring daily life is like nothing to me
Goodbye to the boisterous summer I spent with you
Someone wishes for a reply, but it's gone
Hanako smiled at her and she's a goner.
But wait!
She must stay alive! This might be the only concert she'll ever go to! Oh, the horror.
When you walk, flowers bloom
When you walk, the sky cries
When you smile, the distant summer. . .
I want to draw your smiling face
Screams rang in her ears, but Yashiro didn't mind. She could barely hear them — all she is focused on is that her eyes are locked on Hanako's, and Hanako won't look away.
If I could say something
To you as you cried in the evening rain
Let's go back to that summer
The song goes on,
You're crying, and I want to know why it won't stop
If I could touch you, it's irresponsible, but I want to chat with you
And on and on,
Because you were here, even boring daily life is like nothing to me
Smiling at you, you sitting there embarrassed
The last bus is gone
At his last word, Hanako still maintained eye contact. He shot her a devious grin, his eyes devoid of any emotion other than amusement.
Butterflies erupted in her stomach, tickling her, making her feel breathless. No, seriously, it's like air left her right then and there.
She hadn't even realized that the song ended until Hanako looked away and bowed.
She hadn't even realized that Aoi was screaming in glee, cheering Yashiro until she got back to her senses.
She hadn't even realized that her face was literally burning until she touched it.
But she did realize one thing: she fell. Hard.
"Oh my God," Yashiro said, blinking rapidly. She doesn't want to wake up from his fever dream, she never wants to wake up.
"Nene-chan!" Aoi exclaimed. "What was that?"
"I— I don't know!" Yashiro admitted, still vibrating with joy. "This is so overwhelming. I don't know what to do; should I scream or something? Everyone's still screaming. Oh, Hanako is thanking everyone, is he going to leave already? I feel like only a second passed—"
As Yashiro continued ranting, Aoi showed her phone screen on Yashiro's face. Yashiro had to blink at the brightness.
Akane-kun ❣️
Ao-chan! Can you and
Yashiro meet me up by
the stage on the left?
Someone wants to
meet her ^_^
Of course!
We'll see you there!
"I'm suddenly nervous now," Yashiro told Aoi. "Who is the person that wants to meet us?"
Aoi didn't answer.
- - -
"Aoi, please answer me. I'm scared," Yashiro whimpered. It's crazy how this turned out to be a Horror movie real quick.
Aoi playfully rolled her eyes and tugged at Yashiro's sleeve. "Nene-chan, calm down. No one's going to murder you."
"Of course they won't! There's witnesses here. I bet they'll wait until we're alone!"
Aoi swiveled and gave Yashiro a blank stare. Yashiro sputtered.
Suddenly, before Yashiro could even react, Aoi pushed her forward. Yashiro hit something soft. Swiftly, she pushed away and stared up at the victim—
"H-Hanako-san!?"
He lit up, his eyes shining with recognition. A blush found its way to both of their cheeks, the atmosphere suddenly turning warm. "Yashiro-san, right? My real name is Yugi Amane. You can call me, uhm, Amane!"
Yashiro took a deep breath. "Yeah, ah, nice to meet you, Amane-kun!"
His blush darkened. Yashiro just realized how much of a dork he is backstage. It's nice. "Thank you for, er, coming to my show," he stammered out. "It really means a lot to me." Yashiro also realized that Amane didn't let her move, instead, her embraced her.
And just like that, Yashiro forgot why she was even nervous in the first place.
She thought: Aoi and Akane definitely set this up, didn't they?
