↳ ❝🫐 [chapter 31] ¡! ❞🥃

THIS WAS HER FIRST TIME COMING BACK HOME home in over a week and Lia felt a sort of resentment. The picture-perfect house with the expensive Cadillac in front, knowing that inside the perfection was a mess. She was a mess, Angelo was a mess.

Lia was so angry. At Angelo, at herself, at the whole world. He cheated on her with so many different women, maybe since the very beginning of their marriage. She was so stupid to believe him, his lies. As much as Lia would love to think that she's smart, she was gullible, so willing to believe anything that came out of his mouth.

She parked in front of the house and got out. She was done with this, all of this. Lia didn't want the big house anymore, she didn't want the fancy car. She didn't want Angelo anymore. She wanted something more, not materialistic. Hoseok gave her more than that. It was more than anything Angelo gave her.

Lia was ready to move on, but not until she confronted Angelo. She wanted the whole truth. Everything. And she wouldn't leave until she got it.

Lia took her keys and unlocked the front door before pushing open the door carelessly. "Angelo! Angelo, get your ass down here, you bastard!" She hollered out, slamming the door closed behind herself.

She could hear the sound of footsteps upstairs and soon, Angelo was making his way down from the second floor. "Lia, you're back." He breathes, acknowledging his wife standing in his living room, her eyes lit with fury.

"You motherfucker. You liar. How many women did you actually sleep it?!" She yelled at him. "I talked to Laila and she said that she wasn't the first. So how many?" She pushed him, tears swelling in her eyes.

A shameful look sowed over Angelo's face as he looks at her, on the edge of tears. He knew that he had started all this and it was him to blame for her sadness. He had lied to her, over and over and over. He had broken her trust, her mind, her heart.

"Lia-"

"Just tell me, goddamnit!"

Angelo sighed. There was no way he could keep up the lies, the cheating. She had figured it out, all of it, everything he had tried to hide from her in some misguided "thoughtfulness" trying to "protect" her.

He had to come clean now.

"4 girls. Most of them were one-time things. Laila was the only one who lasted." Angelo told her. "I'm sorry that I lied to you and I'm sorry that I did this to you-"

"How could you!" Lia screamed at him. "How could you do this to me? How could you sit here and lie to me?! Your wife! You were supposed to love me!"

"You aren't innocent either!" Angelo barked at her. He had found out some things as well. Things that he wasn't happy about, that sent him into a mad rage, making him destroy their room.

Lia stepped back. Looking warily to see what he would say next.

He stepped closer towards her. "You act like I did all this shit by myself! Like I'm the only one who had a hand in tearing our relationship apart. I know you're fucking cheating on me!" He stood a mere few inches away from her, the flame of rage licking behind his dark eyes. "You're just as guilty as me."

Lia scoffed at him, crossing her arms. "I'm nothing like you. I didn't cause all of this."

"Oh really?" Angelo questioned. "So you wanna play dumb and pretend like you weren't on the porch with some man. The way you two interacted was not how friends react. I know you're fucking cheating. Just admit it." He came closer. His voice was too calm for someone like him. They should be in a screaming match right now.

There was no point in lying now. Lia wanted a separation from Angelo so why not. She might as well, just to stick it to him before she goes.

Lia threw her hands up. "You know what? I am. I'm cheating on you. I did it after I found out that you were cheating." It felt good to finally get it off her chest. She didn't know how Angelo could do this for so long, even longer than a year. 4 months and Lia felt like she was gonna break into a million pieces.

But she didn't stop just there. Oh no, she couldn't. She had to just rub it into his face so he could feel the hurt she felt. The pain, the anger, everything.

"And I honestly love it when I'm with him. He makes me feel loved, special, like I'm worth a shit unlike you. And oh God is he good at making me cum." She laughed. God, it felt almost orgasmic to finally tell him.

"And he's more of a man than you'll ever be."

That seemed to be the breaking point for Angelo. He had never ever hit Lia or even thought about hitting her, but his anger. His anger got the better of him, it overtook every part of his body.

Before he knew it, he had lifted his hand and struck Lia across the face. "You whore!" He yelled, slapping her to the floor, leaving a burning handprint across her face.

That wasn't the end of it. He grabbed her, pulling her up and slamming her against the front door with his hand wrapped around her neck, choking her. He was squeezing, stopping the air from reaching her lungs.

Lia whimpered, shaking under his palm while her hands clutched his wrist. Tears swelled in her eyes, already beginning to spill over. She had never been scared for her life before with Angelo, but now she was. She was terrified that be may kill her.

"Angelo, please. Please- let me go." She choked out. "Don't hurt me." Lia scratched at his arm, desperately trying to get out of his hold. She began to sob quietly. "Don't kill me. I'm sorry, please."

Angelo stared at her, then at his hand around her dainty throat, and realized what he was doing. His grip loosened and Lia fell to the floor clutching her neck as she sobbed. He took a step back, eyes wide with shock. He had never wanted to hurt her. He loved her.

But she didn't love him anymore.

Lia didn't say anything. She just got up and walked right out of the house- not like ran. She was scared, tucking her tail and running away to her safe space which was all the same. Her face her and it still felt hard to breathe. That was the very last straw. She was done completely. She wanted nothing to do with him.

How could she possibly love him?

Lia took a deep, gasping breath once she got in her car. She could see in the side mirror Angelo coming out of the house and quickly tried to start the car. She fumbled the keys in her shaky hands and quickly locked the door before he reached her.

His hands banged in the door. "Lia, baby, please. I'm sorry, let's just talk about it. We both have done the wrong thing, we can move past this."

Lia couldn't stop crying. She tried to see through her blurred vision but it was hard. There was too much going on. It was overwhelming. "Please. God- please leave me alone!" She screamed at him. She couldn't even keep a stable voice. All her strong defenses were crumbling and she couldn't regain herself with him where.

She finally managed to get the car started and threw it into drive before taking off down the street, leaving Angelo in her rearview mirror. Lia heaved. She needed to calm down. She needed to get to Hoseok. He'd do something about this, anything.

Lia stopped at the end of the street and took a moment to compose herself for a minute. She needed to get ahold of herself.

Angelo would get his.

-

Hoseok was still sitting in the same spot on the couch when Lia came stumbling in through the front door. She was crying. That was the first thing he noticed and that was all that mattered to him. He shot up from the couch and came over to her in a heartbeat. "Lia. Lia baby, what happened?" He took her into his arms and cupped her face in his hands.

"He- he hit me," Lia whispered to him. He could feel her shaking. "He strangled me." She pointed to her neck and that's when Hoseok caught the eye of the bruising around her neck in the shape of a handprint.

It was horrifying and Hoseok was furious. He knew it was a matter of time before that rat bastard crossed the line and now he did it. Hoseok was already beginning to think of ideas to kill him. A woodchipper was an amazing choice.

But Lia was a priority. She was the priority.

Hoseok held her softly, pulling her close. He cuddled her, whispering gentle words to her as he tried to calm her. She was obviously scared. He had never seen her this frightened before. The way she trembled in his arms. He had seriously roughed her up.

"It's okay, baby. It's okay. I'll make sure he doesn't touch you ever again." Hoseok kissed her forehead, brushing her hair back out of her face as she cried in her shoulder. "He'll get what he deserves. I promise."

He's doing it with his bare hands too.

"Hoseok," Lia murmured against his chest. She had calmed down a little more. His voice and his smell, everything about him made her feel safe. She only sniffled down, hiccuping silently.

He hummed. "Yeah?"

She turned and looked up at him. Her eyes, once hard and grounded, firm and unmovable were wavering, soft. She was showing a weakness he had never seen before and he had a desire to protect that.

"Don't kill him."

Well goddamnit. That really threw a wrench in his plans. He was thinking about cutting off each individual finger and shoving them down his throat until he choked on them. Or maybe shooting him in the dick and letting him bleed out. Maybe decapitation.

"But," she signed, staring him dead in the eyes. A sort of look came into the dark abyss, one of malice, a desire, a hunger for revenge, for blood.

"That doesn't mean you can't hurt him."

Oh, well that opens up a lot of doors. He can do whatever he wants just as long as Angelo doesn't end up dying.

A smile crept onto Hoseok's lips and the same sort of gleam came into his eyes as hers.

"I can do that."
