↳ ❝🫐 [chapter 04] ¡! ❞🥃
IT'S BEEN A WEEK AND THE TWO HAVEN'T SAID A WORD TO ONE ANOTHER. Not a single word. Not a good morning nor a goodnight. Not even a conversation on what was for dinner.
Lia would mind her own business, go about her day like her husband was simply non-existent, though she still wore her ring, making Angelo believe there was a chance that one day, she might come around.
Every day, Angelo slept on the couch and Lia slept in their bed. It was an arrangement that neither of them particularly liked. Angelo wanted to make it up to her and Lia didn't like feeling cold and alone at night. She wanted a warm body to curl up with.
Then there was Hoseok. The mysterious, charming stranger with the most angelic smile. She half wished to meet with him again, but then again, she only slept with him to get back at her husband. Lia never planned to make cheating a regular thing, mostly for the sake of her own morals.
But of course, with this newfound freedom separate from her husband, Lia got dressed up again, in another short, tight-fitting dress. Maybe it was subconsciously in hopes to attract the attention of her last late-night lover. She was going out to a club near the bar she had gone to last time, maybe in the hopes that she'll run into Hoseok and they can have another one of their rendezvous.
Angelo once again wasn't home tonight. Lia pretended like she didn't care but she couldn't help but miss that asshole. It was the memory of him that she missed, the smiles, moving the furniture to dance in the living room, going out in the middle of the night to do stupid shit.
5 long years of marriage and now hear they were, cheating on each other because the spark that had lit their flame was now mere embers, flickering out.
Maybe the fact that Lia didn't throw her ring right in his face and storm out of the house and the fact that Angelo hadn't run off with his mistress had told them that both of them weren't ready to let go of that flame.
Relationships were complicated. The complex in and out workings that hold a relationship together is even more complicated. A logical person would just say leave his dumbass and go out on your own, but love made you illogical things, or at least, what you think is love.
Attachment made you do even crazier, more stupid things.
When Lia stepped into the club, she almost felt like she was in college again. She used to love going out clubbing with her friends, but as she matured, her rowdy soul, hunger for fun and adventure, had settled down.
She forgot how much she missed all of this. The loudness of it, the energy, the obscenely dirty drinks. Oh, how she loved the last one. She missed the Sex in the Driveway's, Adios Motherfucker's, and Sour Pussy's, but her favorite was always the Blowjob's. They were absolutely amazing and best of all, they made the drink white to look like...well, you know.
The general rule was that the dirtier the drink's name sounded, the more amazing the actual drink was.
Lia smiles to herself, missing those days of more freedom. She makes her way through the club and to the bar, ignoring the bumping bodies and men looking for a partner to dance with. Her eyes sort of scan over the crowd, looking for a slightly above average height man with blonde hair.
Turns out that's a very broad search, most of them turning out to just be some random white dude. How many blonde Asian people could there be in one club. Or maybe he wasn't there at all and she was getting her hopes up for nothing.
Accepting defeat, Lia sits in an empty seat at the bar.
"One Blowjob please."
-
"Seokjin, how nice to see you again." Hoseok smiles at the older man as he approaches the VIP area where he sits though he doesn't return the favor. "Hoseok."
Hoseok slides into the seat across from him, his smile falling from his face as he takes on an expression more appropriate for business. He sighs, lacing his fingers together over the surface of the table. "How much?"
Seokjin raised a perfectly plucked brow. His interest was piqued.
Seokjin was the owner of this club, The Deep Blue, and many other clubs, and casinos around this city. Hoseok knew that he needed to get into business with someone like him. The thing about businessmen was that they don't care about morals or ethics or whatever the fuck, as long as they're making money.
And that's why Seokjin was perfect for a business transaction.
"How much for what, Hope? You're being very vague." He looked at his nails, almost disinterested, though he kept an ear open for Hoseok's offer. Seokjin always walked around and presented himself like he was the bitch to be, the belle of the ball.
Hoseok sighed. "I need you to wash my money across your clubs and casinos, how much of the cut do you want. I'm willing to offer 20 percent."
"40." Seokjin countered. His plushy lips turned upwards into a smirk as Hoseok's expression hardened. "25."
"40."
"I fucking hate you." Seokjin was always a difficult one. He'd keep pushing and pushing until he got his way and that's why Hoseok had to set boundaries. "30, take it or leave it. I have other ways, you're just the most convenient."
Seokjin was quiet for a moment, staring Hoseok down while he thought about the offer. They both wore their poker faces, never letting the other know what they were thinking.
Finally, the ebony-haired man shrugged. "Fine, 30."
Hoseok tugged at the golden Cuban link around his neck with a victorious smile. "Good doin' business with you, Jin-ie." He stood up from the table.
"Always a pleasure."
Hoseok turns to look out at the dance floor from the second floor of the club. Just a bunch of people living normal lives, having fun with their friends, living it up to the fullest. Everything was tinted a slight yellow due to the colored lenses of his glasses.
His eyes wander off to the bar where they catch the sight of a brilliant red dress, similar, if not the same as the one that Lia was wearing the other night.
It couldn't possibly be her. Yeah, it was a similar dress, same skin, same hair but- that could literally be anyone.
He watched as a man approached her, his hand immediately coming to her lower back. Hoseok cringed, definitely not the first move to go with unless you want to get elbowed in the face. He knew from experience, he left the club stumbling with a bleeding nose.
But when she turned her head, Hoseok knew that it was her, Ophelia. She looked tired, drunk, but it was hard to tell in the dimmed lighting of the club.
They talked for a moment, he even got her to laugh, but the way she fell all over him told Hoseok that she was definitely intoxicated.
He should just turn away and forget about it, that she wasn't his to bother and worry about but if the guy takes her home while she's drunk then that's rape. Rape is rape and that would mean that he let that happen to her and that he was just as bad as him.
Fuck.
Hoseok turned and began down the staircase. He kept near the wall and out of sight. He had a gun on him and he didn't need to cause mass panic if someone saw it.
When he approached the bar, panic installed in him when he was that the two were already gone. They couldn't be far. He only took his eyes off of them for a moment.
God, he had to find her.
-
"Where are you t-taking...me." Lia giggles softly as the stranger guides her through the back alley of the club. She stood on wobbly legs, nearly stumbling with every other step. She wasn't drunk, but she was certainly getting there with all those drinks she was downing.
"To have some fun." His voice was deep, rough. In the daze, Lia hadn't been able to see his face. Fun. Men's version of fun meant sex and she wasn't really in the mood for sex.
Lia's lips twisted, tugging into a slight frown. "I want to go home." She pulled her arm away from him or at least tried to. His grip we as too tight, pulling her along even when she resisted.
"I want to go home! Let me go!" She resisted even further.
"Shut up. You sit at the bar, wearing that slutty dress, downing Blowjob's like you want to give one." He turned and pushed Lia against the fence, his leg came between hers and his hands began to roam. It felt wrong and dirty. Lia pushed on his chest, trying to keep his mouth as far away from her skin as possible.
Lia remembered what her mother always said to do in situations like this. Don't fight back because the likely chance is that he'll get angry and he'll get violent. It'll just end up worse. He'll likely try to beat you into submission.
But Lia couldn't let this happen. No one was going to save her so she had to save herself.
"Get the fuck off of me you fucking pervert!" She screamed, hoping that maybe someone on the sidewalk would be able to hear her. Lia shoved his face away and kneed him between the legs as hard as he could.
On instinct, he clenched his muscles and clutched his family jewels in pain, stumbling away from her. Lia tried to regain her balance but her heels were the goddamn devil.
"You bitch!" The stranger lunged for her.
Click.
"She said stop."
Hoseok stands behind the man with his chrome silver gun pointed at his head. His expression was dark, incredibly dangerous. He wasn't above pulling the trigger on a potential rapist. If anything, it would bring him the most satisfaction.
Lia stood back, looking between the two but specifically at Hoseok. Her mysterious, handsome stranger had come just in time to save her.
But with a gun? Who the fuck was he? The Asian Al Capone.
"I suggest you respect her wishes and leave her alone or I put a bullet in your skull. Take your pick." He grew closer, the cold muzzle of his pistol against the man's head to drive his point home. His hands are stable as well as his breathing.
The man backed off, holding his hands up in surrender. Fear filled the brim of his very being. It showed in his eyes. "Okay man, fuck- okay. Just don't hurt me."
Before Hoseok could do much more, the man was already taking off down the alley, too far for Hoseok to shoot without drawing attention, plus he didn't have a suppressor to quiet the noise either way.
"That's right... run you fuck- fucking asshole." Lia drunkenly hopped on one foot and took off her right shoe. She threw it down the alley at the man, meaning for it to hit him but instead it hit the wall and was probably ruined now.
Hoseok put his gun down, uncocking it before tucking it away. "Okay firecracker, let's get you home." He came over and carefully took her hand. "Is it okay if I take you home?"
Lia fell against him with a drunken smile and hooded lids. "You can take me anywhere, handsome."
He'll take that as a yes.
Hoseok helped her along, grabbing her scuffed shoe along the way to put it back on her foot before taking her to his car.
His car was nothing special, nothing to gawk at. Just a Lincoln SUV because why not. He wasn't one to draw much attention to himself and as tempting as the bright red Ferrari was, it would almost immediately get broken into or stolen. Plus, he liked his car. He liked driving big cars because small cars made him feel claustrophobic.
So Hoseok loaded her into the passenger seat, making sure her seatbelt was secured before hopping in himself. He took off his glasses and put them to the side before starting up the car.
Now he just had to remember how to get back to her house. He was too busy kissing her neck the last time.
Most important of all-
"Are you okay?" He asked her. She just got sexually assaulted, almost...she should be crying and having a fallout right now. Maybe she was too drunk to realize it. Hoseok hoped that she wouldn't remember this in the morning. It would be better for her.
Lia rolled her head against the seat. "I had too many Blowjobs. If only actual blowjobs tasted that good, I'd give them all day."
What the fuck was she on?
Hoseok didn't respond to her on that subject. He just focused on the road, biting on his lip as Lia fell silent as well.
"Aww," she clicked her tongue, lips turning to a pout. "My car's back there." She got up and turned around in her seat. Hoseok had to pull her back down into the right position.
"Where are your keys, I'll bring it back for you." He holds out his right hand to her while the left holds the steering wheel. Lia rummaged through her little bag and pulled out the keys to her BMW.
"Don't crash it. I got it as a gift from my... actually- run it into a street light."
Right, her husband. She was married. Why did he always forget that minor detail?
Eventually, Hoseok managed to find his way back to her house, mostly with the help of Lia pointing the way. He can see another car in the driveway and knows that it belongs to her husband. She'll have to go on from here by herself.
"Please be careful." He told her as she popped open the door. He watched carefully, ready to get out and help her if he needed to.
Hoseok stayed and watched, making sure she got into her house safely before pulling away, making a U-turn in the middle of the vacant street to go back to the club. He'll have to switch over to her car, drive it down, and then catch an Uber back to the club.
So much for a complete stranger. But Hoseok wasn't against making her not a stranger. After all, the universe had brought them together again, not under the best circumstances, but still.
Hoseok had a feeling he'd be seeing more of Ophelia, hopefully so.
