once yeosang 𝗹eft the house everyone was pretty tense.

“um, jjunie and i are just gonna leave you guys to this.” beomgyu awkwardly said as he pulled yeonjun to the direction of his and seungmin’s room.

“i’m in charge so i’ll just stay with you guys here.” seungmin spoke as he sat down on one of the kitchen stools.

everyone else was in the living room, not saying a word to each other.

seonghwa cleared his throat and everyone turned to look at him.

“no use in being strangers when we’re all mated to the same person, i’m seonghwa.”

“i’m hongjoong.” the male sighed out.

“and i’m yunho.”

seungmin only cringed at the tension between them all.

“you guys are so tense. loosen up, would yeosang hyung want this?” he questioned after a moment of silence.

“we’ll enroll you both into school along with yeosang, beomgyu and seungmin.” hongjoong suddenly spoke, now looking at both san and mingi.”

“ah no, you don’t have to—” san started but got cut off by hongjoong.

“we need to blend in, if there’s some kids who aren’t going to school isn’t that a bit suspicious?”

seungmin only gave a look to hongjoong because he, seonghwa and yunho aren’t much older, they should be going to school too. hypocrisy.

“though you’re not to leave the house for a bit, after today’s incident you need to get out of public view.” hongjoong directed to mingi and the younger boy only nodded.

“well if that’s all i’ll be leaving.” hongjoong stood up and made his way back to his room.

seonghwa then stood up and headed to the kitchen. yunho immediately stood up to join him too. seungmin shook his head before joining the two newcomers in the living room.

“sorry about them, they got used to each other so it’s a bit weird having two more alphas around. but don’t worry, they’ll warm up soon enough.”

“wanna watch tv? it’s fun, trust me.” seungmin got the remote and turned on the tv and immediately the three of them were hooked.

about ten minutes later, seonghwa and yunho came back with a few snacks. yunho then left to go take some snacks to beomgyu and yeonjun (and also make sure they were behaving).

“thank you hyung.” the three boys said.

seonghwa smiled before going to join hongjoong in his room.

yunho came back and joined them on the couch.

after a while he got bored.

“how about we play a game? i think we have some board games.” everyone nodded so yunho got up and found monopoly.

they began playing and san and mingi were actually having a lot of fun. maybe this won’t be so bad after all.

yeosang made his way home, it wasn’t too late but he was ready to just flop onto the couch and sleep.

he unlocked the door, too tired to smell all the emotions going on inside. but once in he was met with the sight of san sulking. and mingi, yunho and seungmin were yelling about rent...?

but immediately after he was engulfed in yunho’s arms.

“hi hyung.” yeosang said with a tired smile and left a small kiss on the taller’s cheek. yeosang then walked over to the living room and ruffled seungmin’s hair and left pecks on mingi and san’s cheeks which left them blushing. he layed down on the couch as yunho went to continue their game of monopoly.

“you owe me $120 hyung!” mingi told yunho.

“nu uh, this game is rigged!!” the older yelled.

“it is rigged, i can’t believe i lost!” san continued sulking as he watched everyone continue to play.

then some soft puffs of breath were heard and it turns out yeosang had fallen asleep.

so they scrapped monopoly and started playing charades.

yunho and mingi were a team while seungmin and san were a team.

as they played, everyone started coming out to join them. so in the end there were four teams. beomgyu and yeonjun were a team while hongjoong and seonghwa were one.

it was the first time (for some) in a while that everyone saw hongjoong let loose and not be the tense alpha he usually was. he smiled brightly as he threaded his fingers through yeosang’s hair.

it soon became late and everyone opted to just sleeping in the living room (also considering san and mingi didn’t have a room). yeonjun had texted his mother that he would be staying at beomgyu’s house and made sure he got approval before putting his phone away.

hongjoong and seonghwa brought some pillows and blankets out and they filled the living room before putting on a movie and getting some popcorn.

everyone except for yeosang was awake and very interested in the movie.

but slowly they started to fall asleep.

the only ones awake now were hongjoong, san and mingi.

“how are you guys adjusting?” hongjoong asked the pair.

“it’s hard being away from home because that’s all i’ve ever known but i don’t regret coming here.” mingi replied.

“yeah, i kinda miss home too but i get to have a better life here and that’s better than anything i could’ve asked for.” san said with a small smile.

hongjoong smiled at their replies.

“i know i probably haven’t been the kindest since you guys have arrived but you guys are apart of our pack now and i just want you guys to know that. you’ll always have a place here with us.”

no one said anything after that, just a comfortable silence following.

hongjoong then turned off the tv as the movies’ end credits showed. after a beat of silence everyone soon started dozing off but before sleep could completely overtake hongjoong there was a knock at the door.

it wasn’t extremely loud but it was loud enough to make yeosang stir (he was kind of a light sleeper).

hongjoong stood up and made his way to the door. he peeked through the peephole and immediately ran back to the living room, making sure no one made a sound.

“hyung, who’s at the door?”
