ㅤ𝘀omething cold splashed against me and immediately i gasped up for air. there in front of me were my two brothers, jaesung and hyunmin.

“hah! look at you loser!” jaesung laughed as he pointed to yeosang.

“you better change before dad gets here, mom said he’s coming back from work early and he’s not too happy with you.” hyunmin said with his own laugh and soon the two older boys left the young boy’s room. yeosang sighed as he got up. he knew his family didn’t exactly like him but what could he do, he’s only seven.

hyunmin was twelve while jaesung was fourteen. they both were alphas where as yeosang presented as an omega. yep, he was a male omega. his father was an alpha and his mother was an omega as well. his father was head alpha of the village which meant everyone knew they had a son, that was a male omega...

snapping out of his thoughts yeosang got dressed quickly and made his bed even though it was still wet. he did not want to upset his father even more than he already was. he carefully walked downstairs and saw no one in sight. though as he fully made it down the door harshly opened and yeosang knew it was his father. yeosang didn’t move which meant his fathers eyes landed on him immediately.

“kang yeosang. up to your room right now.” yeosang didn’t need to be told twice and quickly went back up to his room. he left the door open knowing his father would be walking in, in a bit. yeosang sat on his still wet bed. he fiddled with his fingers anxiously and soon he heard the heavy footsteps. then the door closed and yeosang sucked in a silent breath.

“your teacher told me you’re not doing well in english yeosang. why is that?” his father said in harsh tone.

“i–it’s hard for me.”

“hard for you? how is it that you’re failing that class when you’re passing the others? work harder yeosang! ask your brothers for help or something just get that grade up!” then he went to sit next to yeosang and the first thing he felt was the wetness of the bed.

slap.

the harsh slap sounded throughout the small room.

“did you have an accident?” his father asked very seriously. yeosang rapidly shook his head in answer to the question. though his father didn’t believe him.

“you’re not a baby yeosang! only babies have accidents!”

“d–daddy no. hyunmin and jaesung t–threw water on me this m–morning.” yeosang tried to explain but his father wouldn’t listen.

“you expect me to believe that!? your brothers have been nothing but kind to you the moment your mother and i brought you into this house and this is how you treat them? you think that just because you’re an omega you’ll get special treatment? well guess what, no, you won’t get any and if anything your biology was messed up, i don’t want a son who’s weak, or who’s a freak so you’re not my son, got it boy.”

“y–yes father.”

slap.

another one to his already stinging red cheek. yeosang let out a pitiful whine. he knew he should be used to this by now but it hurts so bad every time. all the hits and bruises he has on his body, everything that happened to him has been engraved into his mind.

“i–i mean yes s–sir.” yeosang’s father made a simple nod of the head and left the room. yeosang sighed as he knew he wouldn’t be getting breakfast today. the day passed quickly and before yeosang knew it was dinner time. hyunmin walked in and called him for dinner. yeosang nodded and walked behind his older brother. they walked down and they all ate and conversed as yeosang was ignored.

he was used to this. his family treated him differently for being a male omega. his parents solemnly believed an alpha should be male as an omega should be female. they also only believed in male and female relationships, no same sex ones. yeosang didn’t understand what his parents were trying to get at by saying that last one. from what he’s been told about mates in school is they are your fated mate, someone who is picked for you the moment you’re born.

so what if yeosang had a mate that was the same gender as him? would it be bad? would he have to not love them because they were the same gender as him? i mean girls were pretty but to him he found boys prettier. he didn’t say anything to his parents though. back to dinner and everyone had finished and brought their plates to the sink for yeosang to wash.

after yeosang finished he headed to his room. he wasn’t sleepy so he pulled out some dolls his mother used to own and started playing with them. he played with them for a while before he started getting bored of them. he put them back into the box and just stared out of his window. the night sky drew him in. the stars twinkling brightly though seven stars shone a bit brighter than the rest.

hm, why is that? he thought.

he got sleepy at the thought and headed to his bed to lay down and before he knew it the dark consumed him and he fell into a deep slumber.

yeosang was now fifteen. hyunmin was twenty while jaesung was twenty–two. they had moved out immediately when they turned eighteen and jaesung was now pack leader. everyone in the village would obey him. yeosang was tired of getting treated like shit so he did what he could do best, run. specifically, run away. as the day turned to night yeosang got the things he needed though he heard footsteps coming up to his room so he quickly hid everything.

“yeosang, clean the house for us, we have people coming over tomorrow.” his mother stated and yeosang nodded. he waited till she headed to her room and headed down to start the cleaning. he quickly finished but as he walked by his parents room, he heard them talking.

“i’m so proud of hyunmin and jaesung. they have wonderful spouses. what a coincidence that their mates were in this village. and i don’t doubt they’ll have wonderful pups. though yeosang, he’s been a lost cause since he was born.”

“oh honey, don’t worry about him. he’s the only male omega in this whole village, i doubt anyone would want him. i mean first of all, look at him, he’s fragile and weak and second of all he’s a male omega, i doubt he has a mate waiting for him. and don’t blame yourself, his biology is just fucked up.”

yeosang couldn’t listen to this anymore so he rushed to his room and grabbed his bags. he wrote a small note consisting of, goodbye fuckers, i never liked you and you never liked me so see you never!

he left it on his bed and quickly maneuvered his way out of the window. he landed on his feet and immediately ran into the woods. just outside of the their territory he said his goodbye.

“goodbye aurora.” the village became smaller and smaller the more he ran into the woods.
