"We're here." Renjun tells him as they step in front of Donghyuck's door.

"Is Jeno living here too?" He asks.

"Not really. Donghyuck said Jeno's just here until school starts. I don't know the reason, though." The older replies and he just nods.

Renjun knocks on the door three times and when it opens, they're greeted by Jeno. He smiles at them, flashing his infamous eyesmile.

"Cute." Jaemin mumbles, blushing.

"Hey! Come in, you two." Jeno says and gestures them to come inside.

Renjun steps inside first then pulls Jaemin, who's biting his lip nervously.

When they get inside, he sees that there are visitors already, who's faces are unfamiliar to him due to the fact that they are Donghyuck's relatives and Renjun just brings him here to meet his soulmate, Jeno, again.

They sit on the couch and Jeno sits next to him. He looks at Jeno, who's already looking at him, and they smile at each other. Renjun's chuckle can be heard next to Jaemin.

Jeno moves closer and reaches for Jaemin's hand. The latter nods, so the former immediately holds his hand while the two of them are still staring at each other.

He's so warm.

"Jeno!" Renjun calls but the said boy didn't even look at him. "Jeno-ya!"

Jeno blinks and finally turns to Renjun, still holding Jaemin's hand. "Why?"

"Where's Donghyuck?"

"Uhm, in his room." Jeno goes back to staring at Jaemin.

Jaemin doesn't know what to say but he doesn't care because the way Jeno stares at him somehow comforts him and brings him to his inner peace. He doesn't feel awkward towards him, so he stares back.

Jeno leans in and puts his lips in front of the younger's ear. "Let's go outside." he whispers.

Jaemin nods, "Okay." he whispers back.

They get off the couch and walk to the door, still holding hands that Jaemin feels his hand already sweating. They go outside and sit in front of the gate.

"I feel bad, we left Renjun there." Jaemin suddenly says, letting go of Jeno's hand.

Jeno frowns when he sees that but chuckles. "That's fine. Donghyuck will show up later so he'll go to him and probably leave us too."

Jaemin softly laughs and nods. "You're right." He breathes in through his nose, and smiles when he exhales. "I can't believe we'd see each other again sooner. We literally just met yesterday."

Jeno chuckles, "The world is huge, yet it's so small... or it's just because of the fact that we're fated to each other."

He sighs and puts his head on the older's shoulder, closing his eyes. Jeno then wraps his arms around the younger. "You smell like home." he suddenly says.

He hasn't felt this for the past years. He had hugged his parents but somehow, the feeling of being home underneath their hold isn't the same as before.

In Jeno's arms, he feels safe. He doesn't want it to end. He just wants to stay like this forever.

"How are you, Jaemin?" Jeno suddenly asks.

Jaemin presses his lips together and looks up at his soulmate. "I'm quite okay."

"You can tell me anything, Jaemin, only if you want."

He pulls back from the hug and sighs slowly and deeply. He stares at the older and manages a smile. "I just... I just want to feel happy again. I know I smile and laugh a lot, but I just do that to distract myself from what's been happening lately. My parents have been fighting and arguing almost every day and I can't take it anymore."

Jeno holds him and listens attentively, staring gently at the younger.

Jaemin holds onto the older, putting his head on his chest. "I pretend I don't see or hear anything. They were soulmates. They used to be soulmates who were once in love with each other, who miss each other every single day. They were still so in love when I came into their life. I was so happy they're my parents because I know they love each other with all their hearts. But until one day, I don't know what happened, the love between them begin to fade. I just couldn't understand what's going on."

"Have you ever confronted and talked to them about this?" The older asks.

Jaemin shakes his head. "I don't have the guts to. Even if I do, I know they won't tell me a thing."

Jeno rubs his back gently. "Just remember, Jaemin, I will be here and there for you. I'm your soulmate, you can rely on me."

"Thank you, Jeno." Jaemin smiles slightly, buries his face on Jeno's chest.
