Tatum had been waiting for a call from her agent for a straight week. She was dying to hear if she got the part of Mairi Clark or not, and the wait was killing her.

Suddenly her phone rang. It was Ally, Tatum's agent.

"Did I get it?" Tatum asked not even a second after picking up.

"You're excited"

"You're killing me, Ally. Did I get the role of Mairi?" Tatum ran a hand through her blonde hair, anxiously pacing around her apartment.

"Tatum, you are going to be the star The Killers Game!" Tatum was at a loss for words, which her agent found amusing. "You still alive over there?"

"No, not alive at all" Tatum was in complete disbelief. As a teenager she'd fallen in love with Mairi's character, but to actually be playing her was a dream come true. "I need to tell my family"

Tatum hung up on her agent and went to the family group chat.

June 2nd had come quicker than Tatum wanted, but she was excited to see Boygenius kill it up on stage. As the actress drove to the concert she was geeking out over Clairo being an opener for the band. What Tatum didn't know is that Clairo was a diehard fan of Tatum's.

Tatum arrived at the venue just as Clairo was finishing up her sound check, resulting in Tatum fangirling over the singer, and in turn making Lucy die of laughter while the two stood side stage watching her sing. Clairo wrapped up Bags and exited the stage, but stopped in her tracks the minute she spotted Tatum.

"Holy shit!" The singers hands flew over her mouth, "You're Tatum!"

"You're Clairo!" Tatum bounced around out of pure excitement, "I love your music. Holy crap I think I'm gonna pass out"

Lucy left the two to geek out over one another and went to go find Phoebe and Julien since they were up in a few minutes.

Tatum was stood in a tent with all the other openers watching as Boygenius ran on stage as $20 begun playing.

Claire softly elbowed Tatum to gain her attention, "Who are you giving those lovey dovey eyes to?" The singer laughed.

"Uh, no one" Tatum quickly answered.

"I know the look of love when I see it, and don't worry, you're secrets safe with me"

Tatum gave the girl a slight smile, "Thanks"

Claire's question kept Tatum thinking; if they both liked each other then what was stopping her from popping the question? It was then Tatum decided to ask Lucy to officially be her girlfriend after the concert.

Tatum was guided backstage by security in case she was swarmed by fans. Upon spotting Lucy, the actress ran into her arms.

"You killed it!" Tatum pulled away from Lucy, "You all did"

"Thanks, Tate" Said Phoebe.

"Hey, can you guys give us a minute?" Tatum asked the other two.

Julien and Phoebe gave each other a look before nodding and walking off.

"What's this about?" Lucy questioned.

Tatum wrapped her arms around Lucy's waist, pulling the singer closer to her. "Watching you rock it up on stage had me thinking"

"Oh?"

"It made me realize that I don't wanna do this with anyone else. So screw taking things slow. Lucy Dacus, will you officially be my girlfriend?"

"I thought you'd never ask"

Lucy leaned in for a kiss but the faint sounds of squeals ruined the moment—it was Julien and Phoebe, there was no doubt about it.

"We can hear you!" Lucy shouted over the music, "And since when do you two squeal?"

Phoebe and Julien poked their heads out from behind a curtain, "Since now" They said in unison.

"We're just excited," Phoebe explained, "You guys are finally official!"

"I honestly didn't think it was ever gonna happen" Says Julien, sticking a hand in her pocket and pulling out $20.

Phoebe took the money and stuffed it in her pocket, "We made a bet a while back"

Tatum shook her head in amusement, "You guys are idiots"
