PROLOGUE ━━ the forgotten one
OPHELIA sat on her windowsill bench, looking out her window. She released a sigh through her nose. She didn't want to leave her bedroom ever again. It's a tad dramatic but in all honesty, with the way she was going the ending of it won't be pretty.
Some would say she's coping well, but those people don't know what she's actually doing nor feeling. The herbs from Freya's garden she has been taking for the past few months, has not only amplified her heightened emotions but her hunger as well. Sometimes she can't even tell what's real and what isn't at this point.
She's a drug addict but with magical herbs. Some take drugs to ease their pain, or to feel the high. Ophelia is taking magical herbs to see the guy she liked who soon became their enemy, just to hear his angelic voice.
Liam and Hayden had stopped by before their date earlier in the night, to check on the Original. Weird how the youngest in the pack are trying to take care of the oldest. Like a child taking care of their grandmother.
Brett almost found out about her little 'addiction' when he and Lori had stayed the weekend at her house two weeks ago. She had to lie and say they were Hope's, when she slept over with her step-sister's they forgot some of their things. Of course she felt bad blaming the twins and her niece, but if they found out; they'd drop everything and help her. And that's the last thing she wants; Pity. Or help.
Snapping out of her thoughts hearing her phone go off. Seeing two missed texts from Stiles, she smiled faintly.

Grabbing her denim jacket, she slid it on and walked towards her bedroom door. Coming to a halt feeling a cold breeze behind her neck. Furrowing her brows, she whipped around seeing no one there. "I've completely lost my mind." She mumbled to herself. Only she hadn't completely lost her mind, not completely.
She made her way down to the sheriff's station, meeting up with Scott and Stiles.
▂▂▂▂
WALKING into the sheriff's office, Ophelia narrowed her eyes at Scott, who was kneeling in front of a boy, with his claws out. She widened her eyes at the Alpha, then to Stiles and Noah Stilinski.
"We can explain." Scott stammered, looking up at the red head as if he had been scolded by his mother, Melissa.
"Well, this better be interesting." She raised a brow at them.
"He can't remember where his parents are. We'd ask you to, yanno, compel him. But with the town's water supply filled with vervain, we didn't want you getting hurt." Scott explained to the Original softly. With a nod of her head, she walked over next to Stiles who smiled warmly down at the hybrid. Who returned the gesture.
Scott looked at the boy who nodded at the Alpha. Scott dug his claws into his neck, looking into his memories. Ophelia tilted her head watching the two.
Within minutes Scott gasped, stumbling backwards.
"What did you see?" Stiles asked his best friend, holding him up, steadying the Alpha.
"I saw a guy on a horse." Scott nodded to the group.
"I'm sorry, a horse?" Ophelia asked in confusion.
Stiles to looked in disbelief at Scott. "A horse? Like cowboys?"
Scott nodded, taking in deep breaths. "He had a gun." He said with wide eyes looking at the three. Ophelia glanced down at the little boy, who looked up in confusion.
"Okay, a guy with a gun. That sounds like my department, not yours." Noah spoke up.
She walked over to the boy and knelt down in front of him, smiling faintly. "Hey, come with me. We'll talk outside okay?" She softly spoke.
Alex hesitantly nodded his head, grasping her hand in his. "What about my parents?" He asked softly.
She nodded to the three men behind her and walked the boy outside the office and sat with him. "We'll find them. Okay?" She assured the boy.
"They're coming back. They're coming for me." Alex looked up into her doe eyes. Ophelia looked through the window, sharing a knowing eye with Scott. He had heard the two.
▂▂▂▂
OPHELIA stood next to Scott, as Lydia and Stiles sat in the Turner's car. Occasionally the hybrid glanced around the yard, keeping an eye out for Malia or anyone else.
"You okay?" Scott asked the nervous Original, who was snapped out of her thoughts.
She looked up at the True Alpha. "Yeah, I'm fine." She lied.
Scott frowned, "I can smell your chemo signals, O. What's wrong?" He walked over to the red head. Ophelia glanced around the yard, feeling as if she was being watched.
"Nothing, I'm just-" She trailed off, swallowing a lump in her throat, she shook her head. "Fine. I'm, fine." She nodded her head.
Scott sighed, shoving his hands into his front jean pockets, knowing it was about Theo. "I'm sorry, about, well, you know. If there's anything I can do-"
"There's nothing you can do, Scott." Ophelia sighed, shaking her head. "Kira, sent him to hell. Okay? Your ex-girlfriend, killed him. I don't blame you, since he killed you. But maybe he could have been saved? I didn't even say goodbye." She whispered, looking away, not wanting to cry. "I know he wasn't good. Okay? I know. But I can't help how I felt when I was with him and I hate it. But he's gone now. He's dead." She spoke, void of emotion. "So drop it."
Scott, parted his lips. But nodded his head solemnly. He hated Theo. For ruining the pack, for making his pack trust him, for making Ophelia go through hell again, and it was all his fault. If he had listened to Stiles, none of this would have happen. He cared for Ophelia, she was a good friend of his for a while now, she cared for everyone, even if she wanted people to see her as this cold hearted bitch, he knew for a fact it was all an act.

OPHELIA strutted down the halls of Beacon Hills High. Her face void of emotion, since what had occurred a few days prior. Allison's death was still replaying on her mind. Opening her locker, she glanced to the right of her seeing an unknown brunette open Allison's locker.
"Hey, what the bloody hell do you think you're doing?" She hissed at the girl. The girl cowered away, at the intimidating stance of the beautiful red head.
"Um, I'm new. This is my locker..." She trailed off, looking down at her canvas shoes.
Scott walked down the hall spotting the doe eyed beauty. Except she wasn't her normal kind self, no. She looked like she was going to make herself a meal in the middle of the student body.
He rushed over to Ophelia, grabbing her wrist gently. "Hey." He whispered to her pulling her back. "Come on, let's get to class."
"No! That's Allison's locker! Why is she taking it?" She yelled, her eyes breamed of tears, glaring at the girl. Scott looked apologetically to the girl and dragged Ophelia into an empty class room. "What? Scared I was going to maul her alive?" She asked sarcastically, letting out a bitter chuckle.
Scott frowned at the broken girl who stood in front of him. "Lia-" He began only to be cut off by the Original.
"I know what you're all scared of. 'Oh poor Ophelia, when is she going to turn it off?' I can see the pity in your eyes, but what I don't see is heartbreak. Why aren't you heartbroken? Huh? Your ex-girlfriend died!" She shouted, a tear streamed down her cheek. Scott parted his lips. "Oh, right. She was dating Issac. Is that why?" She shook her head.
Scott walked over to Ophelia pulling her into his chest, to which she responded in slapping his chest. Whimpering, soon growing tired of fighting against the Alpha. "Because I stopped being in love with her a while ago." He softly spoke, nerves filling his body. Ophelia sniffled, Scott rocked her back and fourth. She looked up in confusion, meeting his puppy like eyes. Lifting his hands up to her face he brushed her tears away.
"What do-" She began, she looked to Scott who gazed at her. Soon realization crossed her features. She shook her head, refusing to believe what clouded her mind. "No." She shook her head in disbelief. "How long?" She mumbled, sniffling.
"A couple months ago." He softly answered. "I never realized until what happened with Deucalian. I understand if you don't-" He shook his head. Hating himself for bringing this up now, even though in a way he needed to get it off his chest.
Shaking her head she walked over to the Alpha. Leaning in slowly, she placed her lips gently against his soft ones. Pulling away, Her lips lingering inches away from his, Scott fluttered his eyes shut again. "You deserve, so much better Scott McCall." She whispered to him. And with that she was gone.
Scott fluttered his eyes open, looking around the empty class room. Sighing through his nose. He knew she wouldn't allow herself to be with anyone else after Erica, but apart of him hoped she'd stop blaming herself for everything. Yes she has done harm, and yes he hates the fact she's killed. But who she is now and who she was, are two completely different people. In his eyes she's the strongest woman he has ever met. And he was determined to be by her side even if it was just as friends.
▂▂▂▂
A low growl, and howl was heard beyond the four friends. Malia jumped down in her coyote stance. Shifting back into her naked human form. Ophelia walked over handing her best friend some clean clothes. Her other best friend strutted over. "I don't think they're dead." Lydia announced to the five.
"They're dead. Probably torn apart." Malia bluntly stated. "The only thing I don't get, is why there's no blood." She said in confusion.
Ophelia shook her head at the two. "They're not dead. If they were dead, I'd sense it." Lydia argued.
"If they were alive, I'd smell it." Malia remarked.
"Yeah, I'm not getting anything either." Scott agreed.
Ophelia sniffed the air, smelling nothing as well. "It's like their scent vanished." He mumbled, Ophelia and Malia nodded in agreement.
"Scott, what are you talking about? You were in his head for four minutes. I timed it." Stiles argued in disbelief.
"Well, it's not an exact science. And he's a kid. Maybe he's too freaked out to remember." Scott said. Malia pulled on her boots, looking at the group in annoyance and boredom.
"Why does it matter if they're dead? Dead is dead." She bluntly stated.
Stiles sighed, "Okay, if it's just a robbery, we can't help them. And if it's something supernatural, my dad can't help them." Stiles argued.
Lydia furrowed her brows, "It sounds like you want it to be supernatural." She narrowed her eyes at Stiles.
Stiles shrugged, "It's been, like, three months since anything's happened."
"Yeah, and once a week you drag me out of bed like I'm some, supernatural metal detector." Lydia retorted in frustration.
"Okay, it was way more often then that. Y-you can't tell me that you think this is just some series of impossible coincidences?" He asked in disbelief to the banshee.
"What I'm saying is maybe that wouldn't be so bad." She stubbornly retorted. Strutting away. Malia looked to Ophelia who nodded. Ophelia looked sadly to Stiles. And followed behind the red head.
