CHAPTER ONE ━━ remember
OPHELIA observed as Malia took her yearbook photos across from the pack. She flipped through Scott's notebook looking through his notes, as he asked her to review them. Looking over the Alpha's shoulder she re-read his notes nodding in approval, causing the puppy eyed teen wolf to smile widely.
Ophelia and Lydia looked over seeing Stiles interrupting Malia's yearbook photos. "Stiles!" She shrieked. Stiles feigned confusion. "You ruined it." She muttered, making her way to sit on the school lunch table alongside her friends.
"Why would I want to ruin your yearbook photo?" Stiles asked.
Malia sighed, "Maybe because you haven't even signed up for your own." Ophelia voiced up, flicking through the pages, pointing to Scott's page for him to fix his sentence structure, he nodded a 'thanks' to the Original.
Stiles gaped at the Original hybrid. "Whose side are you on? And I'll have you know, I did sign up for them." He sassily remarked, pulling out his permission form showing it to the girls.
Ophelia narrowed her eyes at the page, glancing back down to Scott's notes. "It's blank." She bluntly stated, Malia nodding in agreement.
"No-What?" He asked in confusion, looking down at the blank sheet. "Uh..." He pouted looking down at the sheet.
"Or maybe you're sublimating the stress of graduating by avoiding key milestones." Scott pointed out. Looking back at his best friend. The four looked to Scott in shock at his smart yet oddly correct statement. He smirked to the group. "Psych paper."
Lydia nodded her lips forming an 'O', "Oh."
"Hey, the deputy searched the car. No slugs, no exit hole. And the address Alex gave my dad, it's an abandoned house. Come on! Missing parents, suspicious guy on horseback, magic bullet. Who's comin' with?" Stiles bounced on the balls of his feet looking to his friends, who all shook their heads. "Team Stelia?" He asked with hopeful eyes, giving her his puppy dog look, knowing she couldn't say no.
Ophelia rolled her eyes. "I have class, and so do you." She pointedly stated.
Malia nodded, "I've got to retake my photos."
Lydia shook her head vigorously, "Yeah, not interested."
Stiles then looked to Scott. "I cannot miss any more classes."
"-Scott. Scott." Stiles pleaded.
"I missed 38 last semester. And Lydia's mom is the only reason I'm still in school. I can go after school." Scott nodded to his best friend.
"You know what? Forget it. I'll take Liam." The group turned to Liam, who was busy making out with Hayden. "Yeah, I'm not taking Liam." Stiles shook his head.
"Mmm-mm." Scott hummed.
Sydney walked over to the group, "Hey can I get a candid?" She excitedly asked the pack.
Stiles shook his head, "Uh, no."
"Yeah, sure." Scott happily said, pulling Stiles down to sit in between him and Lydia. Ophelia stood up and sat beside Lydia, in between Malia's legs.
"Okay, fine. If you can explain to me why this is blue, I'll let it go." He said to Scott, holding up a shard of glass.
"Everyone smile." She called out, holding the camera towards the pack.
▂▂▂▂
THE pack sat in class, waiting till 3:30pm, so they could leave and head to the abandoned home. Scott and Stiles ultimately got caught by Mrs.Martin trying to sneak out of school, resulting in the trio waiting till school ended.
Stiles gnawed on his bottom lip, scratching his forehead harshly, glaring at the clock. Ophelia sighed, twirling her pen between her slender fingers.
The bell rang causing the trio to sprint out of class. Leaving a banshee in a daze and confused state.
▂▂▂▂
THE trio arrived to the house. Getting out of Roscoe, they walked in front of the home which looked run down and unkept for years, when a family lived in there not to long ago.
"That's not creepy at all." Stiles breathed out. Ophelia nodded in agreement.
The three walked into the house, which was deserted with no furniture and had a blanket of dust covering the house. "Weird." Ophelia mumbled.
"What?" Scott asked, the Original. "What's weird?" He questioned in concern, standing in front of her, blocking her from anything and everything.
With a roll of her eyes, she shoved him to the side walking ahead of him. "Just a story my brother told me, when I was younger." She mumbled.
Stiles turned to her, the floor boards creaking beneath his weight. "Care to enlighten the class?" He sarcastically asked, shaking slightly in fear from the house.
She rolled her eyes, "Elijah, would say, if I didn't have anything nice to say to not say it at all. And that one day, I'd be taken and forgotten by all." She mumbled, confused as to why all of the Turner's furniture was gone, and why the house looked like it had been abandoned for years and not just a matter of days.
"Well, your brother is awfully kind to you. Did he eat babies to?" Stiles asked, his flashlight shaking slightly in his hands, looking around the creepy house. Ophelia smacked Stiles' forearm and walked next to Scott.
Scott shook his head at the two, "Should we split up?" He asked, glancing at the two.
"Uh, absolutely not." Stiles shook his head in disbelief.
They walked up the stairs, the floorboards creaking after every step they took. "Did you have to wear six inch heels?" Stiles whispered to the Original, whose heels clicked against the floorboards.
"Yes. It's crucial to the outfit." She whisper shouted back.
Scott rolled his eyes at the two bickering. "Quiet. Maybe Alex got the address wrong?" Scott suggested.
"Why would he get an address wrong in a home he's lived his whole life in?" Ophelia asked, moving her flashlight down the hall.
The two boys looked to one another nodding, that what she said made sense. Reaching the end of the hall Stiles opened the final door revealing a clean bedroom, unlike the rest of the empty and dirty house.
"Why didn't the cops say anything about this?" Scott asked glancing around the bedroom in confusion.
Stiles turned to the two, "They don't know it's here. They can't come here without a warrant, and there's no owner of record to serve a warrant to. So unless there's some kind of threat or imminent danger, they wouldn't come in." He explained.
Ophelia nodded in understanding, Scott held out his hand stopping the hybrid's movements. "Hear that." He asked her, to which she nodded.
"What?" Stiles asked the two in worry.
The duo walked down the hall, Scott walking ahead holding his arm out to her. Ophelia sighed, but didn't push the Alpha. Following in pursuit they waved their flashlights around walking into the dinning room, glancing around seeing the table now empty.
Furrowing her brows, "What the-" She began, only to hear floor boards creaking behind the pair.
Scott pulled the Original behind him, walking down the hall running into Liam and Mason. The four gasped in shock. "Are you bloody kidding me?" She whispered yelled at the two teens. "You are supposed to be studying for your bio test you have on Friday." She scolded the two like a mother, the two boys looked down guiltily.
Scott looked over to the Original wondering how much time she has spent with the two. He smiled softly, turning back to the two teens. "We did study . . . On the way here, sort of. Wait, what are you doing here?" Liam stammered nervously to the two.
"This is Alex's house. What are you doing here?" Scott asked in confusion to the two.
Liam looked to Mason, "This is where the compass led us." He explained.
Scott and Ophelia looked to one another with squinted eyes, "What compass?" Scott asked. Mason took out a gold pocket watch, showing the compass hands spinning around crazily.
"Looks like the old Gilbert watch." Ophelia murmured to herself, Scott glanced to her knowing about the incidents back in Mystic Falls, furrowing his brows he looked back to the boys. "Why is it moving? Can it detect vampires? Werewolves?" She rambled, looking down at the watch.
Mason shook his head, "I-I don't know." Liam pulled out his phone, showing his digital compass which was also spinning out of control. "They are all doing it."
The pocket watch shattered, hearing rustling above them. Scott and Ophelia sped up the stairs, the two boys following in pursuit. "What happened?" Scott frantically asked.
Ophelia rushed over helping Stiles stand to his feet. "He was here. He shot at me." Stiles rambled. "It was one of the guys you saw in Alex's memory."
"The guy who took his parents?" Mason asked.
Stiles shook his head, "No, no, no. they weren't just taken. They were, they were made to disappear. That's why there's no furniture, that's why they weren't in any of the photos." Stiles rambled.
Scott widened his eyes slightly, "Your story." He looked down to Ophelia, "The one Elijah said, about forgetting you. Does he know anything else?" Scott asked the Original.
"Uh, I'm not sure. I can ask, but every time I'd ask Kol, when we were younger, he said it was a myth and to not listen to it." Ophelia shrugged, not fully understanding why this was happening now.
"They were erased." Stiles spoke up. Looking up, he opened Alex's bedroom door, seeing it no longer filled with furniture, but dust.
▂▂▂▂
OPHELIA and Malia walked into an empty classroom, upon getting a text from the banshee. Saying she needed help. "Got your text. You said you needed our help?" Malia asked, the two walking next to the banshee. Seeing her starring in a daze ahead of her. "Oh, God. That kind of help."
"Something terrible is going to happen." Lydia mumbled, Ophelia walked over to her, confusion evident in her doe eyes.
Malia followed behind her best friend, sitting on a nearby desk, sighing, "Okay, what is it?" She asked.
Lydia looked up at the two, "I don't know. That's why I need you both." Ophelia nodded.
"When did you first have the premonition?" Malia asked.
Lydia looked up to the two, "I was with... Stiles...? We realized it was the Wild Hunt. The Riders, the horses. Souls getting swept up." Lydia sighed, soon furrowing her brows at the unknown name.
Ophelia leaned over the desk, "Those who see the Wild Hunt beware for you already lost." Ophelia recited. She widened her eyes, "Stiles." She repeated the name, furrowing her brows. "Stiles." She repeated sprinting out of the classroom.
"Whose Stiles?" Malia shouted out to the Original, who ran out the class room. "Weirdo." She mumbled. Lydia shrugged in confusion.
"Stiles!" Ophelia screamed, running out of the school. The hybrid running up to the hazel eyed boy.
"Oh, thank God! You remember me!" He sighed in relief.
"Yes, I know you!" Ophelia breathed out. "But everyone else is forgetting." She explained.
Stiles looked behind the girl, his lips parted, "Do you see him?" Ophelia shook her head. "The guy on the horse." He explained.
"Stiles, if you can see them, they're gonna-" Ophelia began panicking, tears breamed her eyes. "No, this can't happen." She mumbled to herself.
"No, I know, I know. Okay. They're comin' for me. So you need to get away from me right now, okay?" Stiles pleaded the hybrid.
"I'm not leaving." Ophelia refused, and grabbed Stiles' arm.
Stiles nodded his head, "Come on!" He shouted. The two sprinted away, Ophelia glanced back seeing nothing, which worried and frightened the hybrid not knowing if they were far from the two or directly behind them. "This way, this way, come on."
Stiles stopped, "Woah, woah. Okay this way." He pulled her to the left, only to come to a stop.
"Stiles, I can't see them!" Ophelia cried out, looking around the school ground, seeing nothing. "Where are they?" She frantically yelled.
"They're everywhere." Stiles, pulled the her into him. His eyes wide looking around him starring at the Wild Hunt which surrounded the duo. The duo ran, panting. Ophelia grasped his arms and sped them away. "Don't look at them. They'll take you too. Just don't look at them." He shouted to the Original.
Opening the blue jeeps doors, the duo entered the car. Fumbling with the car keys, he looked out the window, removing the key from the ignition. "What the bloody hell are you doing?!" She shrieked at the human.
"O, I'm going to be erased, okay? Just like the boy Alex. You're gonna forget me." He nodded to the whimpering hybrid.
"No. I can call Freya. Maybe she can do a spell bring you back along with him. Okay? We'll think of something. I won't forget you. I can't." She whimpered, looking up at Stiles. "I can't lose you too." She shook her head, her lips quivering.
Stiles' let his tears fall, sniffling. "You will. Just try to remember me, okay? If Freya can't help, or the twins or even Hope. Just try to remember me. Remember? Always have hope. You never give up hope. Team Stelia always wins." He kissed her forehead. "Tell Lydia-" He began.
"I will. I swear I will, you have my word." She promised.
"Just remember me." He sniffled. With a blink of an eye he was pulled out of the jeep, out of her grasp.
Ophelia looked down at the car keys which she had clutched to her chest, now laid in her hands. Looking down in confusion. "Remember." She mumbled. "Remember?" She repeated to herself in confusion.
▂▂▂▂
GETTING home, Ophelia walked through her double doors, shutting it slowly behind her. Confusion written on the red head's face. Dropping her jean jacket on the bench placed near the doors, she then walked to her bedroom. Placing the car keys on her vanity, still confused whose they were. Shrugging she turned around being met with blue eyes.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Brett asked in confusion and worry. Ophelia shrugged, wrapping her arms around the much taller boy. Brett chuckled pulling her into his arms, kissing the crown of her head.
"Just thought I forgot something." She mumbled into his chest, breathing in his cologne.
Brett smiled, "Yeah you did." He said, his smile dropped.
Ophelia looked up in confusion, "It's movie night!" Lori peeked her head from Ophelia's bedroom door, ruining Brett's moment with the girl. He glared at his sister, who sheepishly smiled and winked at the two. "Come on, we've got Lord Of The Rings, trilogy of course. Star Wars, then we got some oldies like The Breakfast Club, Ferris-" She listed off.
"Lori. Do you mind?" Brett asked with pleading eyes to his younger sister, who winked at the two and nodded.
"Fine. Use protection!" She shouted walking down to the theatre room.
Ophelia chuckled at the two, "Right, I forgot." She shook her head in embarrassment, though the nagging feeling didn't leave her body.
"And this is why, I-" Brett began soon shaking his head. "Why, I think your age is finally catching up to you." He joked. Ophelia smacked his arms away. Walking out of her bedroom to Lori.
"I was kidding!" He shouted running out the door.
▂▂▂▂
OPHELIA walked through the doors the next day, Her smile faltering, furrowing her brows she saw Scott by himself. She tilted her head, confused why she was confused. Scott looked up, and smiled widely at the Original, who smiled back. Looking to her right she saw Hayden, Liam, Mason, and Corey who looked to the Original smiling and waving. Returning the gesture, she looked to her side being met with Malia and Lydia.
"You okay, O?" Malia asked in confusion. Lydia to wondering why their best friend was acting stranger then normal.
"I think I was supposed to say something, or do something." She tilted her head.
Scott walked over to the trio, placing his hand on her shoulder, his concerned eyes meeting hers. "Do what?"
"I can't remember." She whispered, looking up at Scott.
AN 🦋✨🧚🏼♀️
Uh, hi, Cody looks like an angel.
listen to the song when Ophelia is with Malia and Lydia and goes after Stiles.
So, a lot happened. Also tried really hard to make that photo look realistic, it was hard finding Madelaine sitting down where the colouring was similar to the casts photo. But ya'll get the idea.
Also totally ruined the Stydia moment and made it a Stelia moment. I want ya'll to see more of her with the boys as well not just her and the girls. But Stydia is obviously end game, and happens anyways so don't worry.
